So Conte has thrown his name in the ring
Feels like Groundhog Day but what are people's views on this?
At Napoli he won the league whilst moving away from his trademark 3 at the back (which is what put me off originally).
Seems to be an excellent motivator before exploding - again this used to bother me but we don't keep managers for more than 2 years anyway atm so is this even a problem anymore?
(Note: I still want Carrick to succeed and think any manager would struggle with the full backs we have but would be interested by the overall consensus)

Conte is on another planet compared to Carrick. Conte would not allow slackers and makes teams run. Tactically astute.
Certainly would shake everything up. However to save you the wait, people will just say there is no one better than our Michael, so we must not be unfaithful even mentioning anyone else's name.
Bit torn on Conte, top manager but there will be strife whilst he drives change. Miles better than what we have. Intrigued by Hurzeler mind you and wonder if that is more the direction, a young vibrant coach. We had one but didn't stand behind him.

I'd snap him up in a flash.
No need question. He is better than better than anyone we've had since Ferguson, barring Mourinho.
In fact, he could have a similar impact that Mourinho had. Competing in the cup competitions at the least.
Currently, we're being knocked out in the early rounds with pathetic displays.
Getting some trophies, whether that's League cup and Europa, would be a boost for some of our younger squad.

Hes a serial winner, that's for sure, and he would certainly shake things up. It would be very entertaining but potentially short lived.

Conte is a serial winner. I would not be concerned about him staying for a sustained period.
I think we would do better under him than under a lot of coaches.

Conte wouldn't last 5 minutes under the current structure. He'd call the board out like Amorim did and get sacked.

Rewz is spot on.
I've been fortunate enough to understand how mental my own physiological profile is thought myers bring.
Conte is pure ENTJ. Google it.
He will get frustrated by how inept the back office is and go bananas.
But I'd love him, love the type. And Would hire the type. I have an expression passed on from an old director. He used to say I'd rather have someone good for 2–3 years than some one an average for 5 years.
I'd rather have someone excellent for a year or so like conte than have some average bloke.

He's a great coach without a shadow of a doubt, but it is because he does things like this which is why I think he would ultimately be a poor appointment.
It was a thinly veiled plea for a job that isn't currently available, to intentionally put that pressure on another manager (which could and have negative impacts on the club) in an attempt to try and secure himself a position, does not show the kind of character I'd want in a manager of our club.
That is without even considering his playing style (which I've not particularly been a fan of over the years).
Great manager in terms of success, but tends to be a short term fix to get a couple extra years out of a declining great team. He doesn't tend to build for the future, is particularly successful with developing young players, and rarely last more than 3 years at a club before it all implodes or he falls out with everyone.
Which his recent comments probably shed some light on why he might rub people up the wrong way and fall out with people.

I'd take a short term fix at this point. I'm sick of watching the dross week in, week out.
