I learnt a new word yesterday: eucatastrophe. A sudden joyous event at the end of a story saving the protagonist from apparent doom. Going by Tolkien.
Yesterday had 2 of them. United and the US mid terms.
But, that first half. Dalot being stranded way upfield when Mainoo loses the ball to the midfield press. Is that what he's been coached to do? And, given that they were pressing so well, why take the risk? And then the second falls entirely on Maguire's pathetic clearance straight to one of their players.
One has to hope the club is committed to shoring up the back in January, whatever it costs. Of course it should have been done over the summer. The effects of Shaw's leg break and propensity to subsequent injury has been well known to the club. To expect him to make it through a 60 game season without injury was dumb.

I feel one of those is ultimately more important than the other.
Unlike USA, Manchester is RED ?.

This has to be Shaw, Martinez and Maguires last season. It makes no sense to offer any of them new contracts.

Big money needs to be spent in January. Which won't happen. And can we really trust those idiots to get the right players.
Dalot is the worst player we have ever had. How he starts every game. Luckily yoro has done well at RB and hopefully shaw being fit we won't have to see dalot much.
CARRICK OUT.

Dalot is nowhere near the worst player we have ever had. Even during Fergies reign we had several much worse signings. Dalot is just suffering from a lack of confidence and lack of playing structure in a team which is all over the place.

I have no doubt Dorgu would be filling in if he was fit. But he's also crocked.
Shaw has to leave in the summer and be replaced. I can understand the club's reticence if they cannot get their first choices until the summer.

Salford in 8 years he had never been a very good player for us.
He had not excelled for any manager really.
He has over stayed his welcome imo.

Salford, dalots problem isn't a lack of confidence, it's lack of a footballing brain. Yes he runs about alot, but he makes the wrong decisions most of the time. worst thing we did was getting rid of wan bissaka and keeping him.
