"Barcelona and Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 28, has emerged as a target for Manchester United. (Football Insider) "
Just emerged this apparently ?.
1.) 26 Sep 2025 07:23:54
Thanks for nudging the Amass post down with a bit of nostalgic humour Key.
2.) 26 Sep 2025 15:01:38
Couple of days ago it was reported that FdJ has agreed a new contract with Barce until 2029 on reduced wages.
Given his known desire to stay at Camp Nou, on a scale of nought to a thousand on the credibility scale I would struggle to give this rumour a score of more than 2.
3.) 26 Sep 2025 18:21:35
The modern day Wesley Sneijder.
4.) 27 Sep 2025 09:53:15
Some transfer rumours are like a boomerang, quickly thrown out there but will soon return.
With the position our clubs holds in the world we get linked to far more than most clubs as it garners more attention. Often linked to a player who is negotiating a new deal, no doubt the media have found this information via the players agent or intermediaries. While other times our name is linked to a player who is looking for a move and they want to broadcast that to as many clubs as possible, so being linked to Manchester United makes more people sit up and pay attention to them. Then there are the quiet news week links, when there isn't much to report so the same name gets dragged up and reprinted as being of "interest" to Manchester United. It's just a throw away article designed as click bait.
Be that Strootman, Sneijder, Gaitan, or now Frenkie de Jong. Apparently we have something for Dutch players ?.
5.) 27 Sep 2025 10:38:53
Arriving with Strootman and Gaitan.
6.) 27 Sep 2025 10:42:19
My friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream.
It is a dream deeply rooted in the United dream.
I have a dream that one day this team will rise up and live out the true meaning of 3-4-3.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of the Trafford Centre, former players and the sons of former players will be able to sit down together at the table, and not have to criticise the team to earn a living.
I have a dream that my two children will finally see Wesley Sneijder grace the hallowed turf at Old Trafford, that Sesko will score a goal, and that we will at last have a goalkeeper who doesn’t create panic whenever the ball is near them. I have a dream.
7.) 27 Sep 2025 14:14:51
Instead we live a nightmare!
8.) 27 Sep 2025 14:45:21
Nightmare? Much like keeping up with your different login passwords Anotherupset, hence the timing of your post. Bet you couldn't wait to find your current login details.

Carrick to replace Gerrard at Rangers..! Which ex-player will we get in to replace him if that happens...
1.) 15 Nov 2021 17:27:06
Lol god help them.
2.) 15 Nov 2021 17:32:24
Danny Pugh.
3.) 16 Nov 2021 15:51:35
Hopefully he'll bring Phelan with him.

On a lighter note. Anyone been watching Stick to United.
I think Rooney comes across well. Though Mark Goldbridge (if that's even his real name ;) ) really doesn't offer much.
1.) 02 Oct 2026 22:54:53
Definitely not his real name, haven't watched it but don't mind Rooney tbh, def not the worst out there.
2.) 03 Oct 2026 03:44:34
It's been very good.
3.) 03 Oct 2026 12:15:47
His real name is Brent Di Cesare.
He adopted the pseudonym "Mark Goldbridge" when he started his online career because his previous job as a police financial fraud detective did not allow him to use his real name.
4.) 03 Oct 2026 21:51:59
I knew that was his name and he was in the police but thought he'd chosen something more 'relatable' as a 'fan'.
Brent Di Cesare sounds a more flamboyant signing from Serie A.

Just wanted to start a new thread.
1.) 22 Jul 2026 19:39:43
Just wanted to highjack your new thread to ask the burning questions.
Was Rooney world class? Is he a club legend??
2.) 22 Jul 2026 21:53:32
What about Rashford chat?
3.) 23 Jul 2026 08:42:48
Order! Order!
4.) 23 Jul 2026 09:12:07
We should start a new thread about new threads.
5.) 23 Jul 2026 12:23:08
I used to sell thread back in the day! What shades/strength are we looking for?
6.) 23 Jul 2026 17:01:07
I'll get me coat!
15 Jul 2026 22:39:58
Reckon Kobbie will take his 3 week break? Basically been on one. Feel for him not getting a kick.
1.) 16 Jul 2026 02:18:39
He will play in the third place playoff.
2.) 16 Jul 2026 02:36:30
He should refuse to play. Make that shower go through the embarrassment of being stuffed by France.
3.) 16 Jul 2026 09:50:57
Yeah, I reckon Saturday's line-up will be vastly different. Maybe even Henderson in a body cast.
13 Feb 2026 19:21:48
Looks like Ancelotti will be unavailable too.
1.) 14 Feb 2026 08:48:49
I genuinely thought it would be Tuchel. So I’m stumped now about who they’re thinking of beyond Carrick if he continues this strong start.
2.) 14 Feb 2026 11:43:04
I read somewhere that Diego Simeone representatives would be considering options in summer. I mentioned him years ago on here but was told he was too defensive minded. I am not sure on his English.
3.) 14 Feb 2026 12:05:15
Glad its not Tuchel, his football is horrific. Would hope we go all out for Enrique but can't see him wanting to come here. Maybe Iraola seems the best, realistic option?
4.) 14 Feb 2026 12:39:25
Don't think simeone speaks English red man as far as I'm aware.
5.) 14 Feb 2026 17:51:16
Don't think Jim will go for someone who can't even speak the language.
6.) 14 Feb 2026 19:42:17
You can learn a language and we don’t know if he has started. If his representatives are saying there could be movement in summer then we shall see. Who knows but would t dismiss anything right now.
7.) 14 Feb 2026 21:41:05
He was the best paid manager in the world and had been for some time i believe. Maybe stadium changed that.
Always the underdog in spain and has been top dog. Beating the other 2 to a title is very rare.
Id love to see some of the madness the likes of him or de zerbi can bring and passion they show and generate.
Simione can be accused of being very pragmatic but I think he is very tactically astute .
Of all the club managers in Europe he would be my 1st choice.
I don't think he will leave Madrid but stranger thinks have happened.
8.) 15 Feb 2026 07:31:18
Same Eric. Not sure who gets the gig now.
9.) 15 Feb 2026 12:47:39
Even if carrick gets it I’m not against it. Best football we have played in seasons and scoring goals. I’m just enjoying it.
25 Jan 2026 18:28:54
Wonder what all those Arsenal fans that thanked us last week are thinking.
03 Oct 2026 09:18:23
Realising he can't get as much money out of the Glazers.
20 Sep 2026 18:35:27
And do you really think Carrick was the decider?
19 Sep 2026 14:37:07
De Zebri might be available soon. Didn't some people want him?
21 Aug 2026 21:34:20
65+5 and a sell-on clause, I read.
20 Aug 2026 06:09:11
And why not, they're paying for it!
14 Oct 2026 06:06:45
Cold and depressing.
10 Oct 2026 20:46:07
Bit harsh on Yoro.
10 Oct 2026 17:33:39
Done what people wanted, dropped Rashford, Cunha out and Mbuemo up top. Good to have Amad back for a bit more energy. Hopefully see Baleba on in a positive way.
04 Oct 2026 22:56:32
You can't change what's happened (teams that have played so far this season) same as the work someone has done where you say others pick up the slack.
The club would still operate but not play in the PL.
And as crappy as it is for staff etc if a company closes outside of football (for whatever reason) the staff get made redundant etc. No one wants that for them but it's what happens.
Just because you want to be able to get on with football doesn't mean they should get off easily or it should be done in a way to get them back competing.
Need to be made an example of and plenty of other teams that have missed out on things because of it and deserve their space.
So the quick and fair solution would be to remove them during the process.
If (likely) guilty anything negative (being relegated by not playing) is time served already.
If not guilty they start playing again.
