Ed002. I note you gave potentially in your opinion some obtainable targets below.
You mentioned either fdj or sms.
Can I ask in your opinion who do you think is better suited to the epl and united at this time.
Imo both players are quite different in the way they play for their current clubs.
Both are very good technically imo. I hope we do get one of them preferably both but that's a double pipe dream.

I agree with Ed. I really don't think FDJ is the guy, nor do I think he suits the league at all. Feel like we are wasting our time, whilst neglecting other areas that need reinforcing. Same old United.

If I had to go for one Ken it would be De Jong. I think he was outstanding in that Ajax side. He progressed the ball so well, was always showing for the ball and ultimately was brave in his play.

I’ve not seen enough of SMS, but from what I have seen he looks better in the final third a bit like pogba, whereas de Jong will help us control the midfield a bit more I think.

Caolan. As I said tj have very different attributes but can play anywhere you ask them in midfield. Both technically super. Sms is physically imposing and his touch and timing are really good.
I tend to agree that if eth wants someone to be the fulcrum of the team like a pirlo Scholes xavi thiago type playmaker then fdj looks more suited to my amateur eye. I'd love them both to be honest but we know that's not a possibility.
Hope we get one of them as I think both are a huge step up from what we have.

Elvis, I’m not sure Ed said that. FDJ is better than all of our other midfielders, he’s also the man our new manager wants to build the team around, so he will do for me.
