Reports in the sun today that they may take the club off the sales market. Basically no one has a clue. I’m in similar thinking to the above post and think they will stay, unfortunately.

I think this is a massive worry for fans. I am choosing to believe they are trying to get higher offers from SJR and Qatar. I find it strange though that it has moved on to the next stage if you believe the reports. Can't believe SJR and Qatar would be offering all this time etc if they weren't confident of a sale? But you are right Tim, basically no one has a clue what's happening behind the scenes, haha.

I wouldn't be worrying about the Galzers staying. I find the wording of "The Glazers may stay and focus of the driving the commercial side of the business" eh what have they been doing for 18 years.

The facts are that the two public bidders will meet over the next week or so to review the books before potentially making a new offer. Nothing has changed from the when the Glazers put us up for sale until now. No new golden goose laying eggs. I can't see why they would currently want to stay now.

This is all a tactic to intimidate the prospective buyers into paying more. The club will be sold.

No one really knows. The papers need something to write about. They need subscriptions and advertising revenues. Clickbait. We will just have to wait and see.

Exactly Mumbles, whatever we may think of them and however much we want them gone, they are not fools. They will let people think what they want in order to extract the highest price they can, I would expect nothing less from any businessmen. I feel sure they want out.

The one thing I would like to see from any and all bidders, is a clear and unambiguous statement on the future of the present manager. I have seen reports that the Qataris will want to bring in their own management team, including on the football side.
I find it hard to believe anyone could be so stupid as to do that and totally alienate themselves from millions of supporters. In any event who could you bring in who would be better. I personally would not want ANY other manager than ETH.
So although I don't think it likely, some clarity over the managers position would be welcome.

Personally, I think the club will be sold. The only aim for the glazers is to get the best price, and this is their tactic of doing so.
Why would they relinquish a portion of the club only to Invest that money in the infrastructure (redeveloping Old Trafford and Carrington) . It makes no business sense.
