Any real legs in this story about Spurs being interested in Sancho? He's been disappointing to me this season, though curious why Ten Hag doesn't play him at right wing/ forward where he played at Dortmund. While I think we can get someone better, I'm a bit skeptical that he would be sold, as the club stood by him, allowing him to take an extended break earlier in the season to recover his "mental fitness" for the game.

{Ed002's Note - I would not dismiss it.}

He scored more goals than grealish did for city with far fewer minutes.

The fans won't warm to him until he puts a shift in. He shys away from physical contact which will not be tolerated at Man utd. City flare players are setting the standard for work rate, we have to at least match that.

It's strange as he played better on the right in Germany but here seems to play better on the left. A full pre season and having decent strikers to work with might help him.

Good work out nicely if Kane were able to head in the opposite direction.

Our players tend to move towards the left, martial, rashford, bruno, fred, eriksen all tend to shift more left. Sancho needs players around him to work with, and strikers making runs to free spaces or get on the end of threaded balls. Wan Bissaka, open space and a lack of runs are not making RW a productive role for sancho.

We have to be in discussions with Spurs for Kane hence why its quite natural to be linked with some of our players we know who are surplus to requirements or have question marks over them. Its very positive for me that we may be looking to move on a £73m flop in Sancho together with an £80m flop in Maguire hopefully too.

Sancho and Maguire straight swap for Kane please ;)

I reckon we'll still see Sancho here next season. Of course we haven't begun to see anything like we hoped for from him but there seemed to be a few more promising signs in the last few games. All I can think of is players who play similar roles like Mitoma in particular who cost pennies and deliver so much more. Combination of Utd tax plus woeful transfer negotiating sees us rarely get a bargain. In fact who would you say our last steal was?
On Grealish, I think he's probably considered a bit underwhelming to say the least when you compare him to other players in that bracket. Being the most fouled player in the universe isn't much to brag about. Just feels like every time he gets the ball it feels like he's just waiting to be chopped down.

If we could get a few quid for Sancho and bring in Marcus Thuram on a free, I don't think that would be a step back, and could raise some useful cash.

My phone has finally stopped calling him Jason, however. So, for that reason alone, I'm happy to give him another year.

Watched the cL final, which I thought was a very good game and what surprised me the most was how many headers the front line of inter won against the city back line. I realize their goalkeeper is much better in terms of ball distribution but they actually physically put themselves about. Our front line including rahsford hate physical contact and hardly challenge for ball when being cleared by the goalie. Its a problem no matter who the goalie is.
