Does anyone else find Sancho disappointing and virtually ineffective?

He lacks consistency and his decision making is poor. Maybe it is time to give another player a chance and drop him and see if it spurs him on.

Whilst this maybe perceived as, oh here we go, a poster having a pop at a player etc, I just think he currently adds very little to this side. If Martial was ift then Rashford would play wide left.

Sancho has been poor for a while now, drop him and see how he reacts. I'd give elanga a game there.

Gakpo will solve that issue in January.

Virtually guaranteed to sign, in my opinion. Ronaldo out, Gakpo in.

I thought Garnacho out of anyone could be given a bit more (ok, any) time on the left, if only dribs and drabs. I’m sure he’ll get a chance.
As for Sancho he’s been pretty poor in the last month and overall largely underwhelming since he came in. But just like what was happening with Fernandes until the Spurs game where most wanted him dropped it only takes one game to find some form again.

He’s absolutely terrible. I can forgive players out of form for example but he just lacks any sort of enthusiasm! Absolutely petrified of contact, won’t tackle, won’t run, won’t try and beat a mean, won’t take a risk to create something! He stands out like a sore thumb! We’re showing signs of improving, just think a top number 9 with Rashford left really transforms us!

He is not fast enough to get past his man and not clever enough to be a no 10 . Another Memphis imo.

Other than the fact that his passing is poor, he's not pacy, and he can't beat a man, Sancho was a signing right up there with Kingnaldo. The club wanted to sign him a season earlier if I remember correctly. It didn't happen. He then had a bang average season with Dortmund, and rather than take that as a warning, the club then went in and overpaid once again. Maybe EtH can make something of him, but he's going to have his work cut out.

I have to say I admire EtH. He has United playing like we all want them to. He seems to have handled the step up to the EPL with authority and aplomb, trusting his own ability and vision. It was fantastic to watch him and Potter go head to head yesterday, quickly responding to each other's moves. Unfortunately for Eric he still has too many major hangovers from the EW era to contend with. As a result our truly competitive squad is small but, actually this World Cup break may prove to be a boon in that respect. Many of our players will not be playing that much football. Their injuries will heal and they'll get a good rest. Maybe Reinaldo will find another club and, maybe, we'll buy a replacement.

Even the short passes. So loose and slack.

Farnborough, I do enjoy poking the bear so here goes.

Sancho isn't a poor player, and he hasn't always been poor. He was arguably the best player in the Bundesliga for 3 season's. One might be a fluke, but you don't fluke 3 great season's back to back to back. That's not a purple patch of form, that's consistency that shows great ability.

He was every bit as good at youth level as his Man City team mate Phil Foden. In fact he was often the more effective of the two at that level.

Maybe he is struggling to adapt to the EPL, maybe the fact he is on his third manager in 12 months at the club probably hasn't helped. The fact that he has been shunted from right to left back to right and now back to left hasn't helped him settle much either. Maybe he is having issues in his personal life.

Lots of reasons why he hasn't performed as expected, but he isn't a poor player, just a player in poor form.
