A few days ago I posted that Jimmy Murphy and Sir Matt would be turning in their graves at what these owners have done and are doing to our beloved club. We have one of the most esteemed managers in history and still alive as a director, one of the great footballers of all time a director. I would excuse Sir Bobby but where is Sir Alex Ferguson on these leeches?

He came from Glasgow with a shop steward mentality, yet now sits on his hands and watches the club fall into a shambles and greed pervade the entity he helped make great again. Yes it all started with the racehorse, carried on with no value in the market but Sir Alex's silence on the leeches is now deafening.

It is time SAF came out and said what we can all see, even if it means losing his comfy board room seat for a time, the club is bigger than that. Where are you on this SAF?

I'd say where his stance is on internal club matters are none of your business quite frankly.
Why should he come out and say anything?
You are a supporter of the club or so you claim so just support.
You do seem to ask a lot of questions on topics that are absolutely none of your business.
Do you own any shares?
I understand your frustrations but you appear to have a new moan every day, just lashing out.
Are you still attending games?
It's a crap situation but just crying about it on a forum like this is not going to affect anything.
Why not just support the team and players of the team you claim to support.
I read little or no support from you for the team.

Red Man SAF, as great as he was for our club, is no angel. He employed his son in some very dubious 'jobs' within the club for which he wasn't qualified. The race horse debacle indeed and don't forget he was the manager at the time the Grazers took over. He welcomed them heartily and was very much in bed with them and probably still is. Yes the no value in the market bolloxology. SAF is not going to pee on his own pillow and if you're waiting for him to comment and denigrate the owners you best not hold your breath. Whilst I fully understand and agree with your sentiments re the club and owners, Fergy is not the saviour.

Oh the irony of scotmanc the forum censor of opinion.

"You are a supporter of the club or so you claim so just support. " - None of your business quite frankly.

"Do you own any shares? " - None of your business quite frankly.

"Are you still attending games? " - None of your business quite frankly.

"Why not just support the team and players of the team you claim to support. " - None of your business quite frankly.
LMAO you might want to take some of your own advice but that's just my opinion.

Scotmanc, red man has been a supporter of the club since before you were born so show some respect. You do enjoy having a go at everyone on this page. Should we all just stop posting? If everyone just agreed with you, it will be a very boring page.

Agreed Fizz. SAF saying anything against the Glazers would be similar situation to Sancho going against EtH.

What does supporting the team actually mean? Going to games? Singing in the stadium, putting up with whatever happens and staying quiet. Or does supporting the team mean your willing to voice your concerns, protest and fight to get the club back from owners that have driven it into the ground. I think as a united fan it should be all of the above, give the players all the support they need but also demand better from those in power. Am I wrong in this?

Where there's big money there's big corruption.

Ah scotmanc

I started supporting in 68, attended my first game about 71, went home and away and had a league match book, stood on the Stretford End and had a season ticket for decades. Put in some very hard yards when we were a lot lot worse than this. I was there at OT in 74 when Law backheeled the ball for City, saw us relegated, saw us come back. Been at some of the clubs low points and high ones. Is that enough of a fan for you?

Yes I question what is going on and what SAF is doing because it matters. it should matter to every single fan. If I didn’t care I should get more criticism.

Love it Red Man. I am circa 68 as my first game. Many years as a season ticket holder in the old paddocks. Ducking under the old guards when we scored and trying not to spill your bucket of beer! Oh the great days! Running down the railway lines after the game! The only saving grace is that Laws goal didn’t relegate us. As you say we were fans when United were average at best and our only claim was the odd FA Cup. These youngsters, in the most part, are living the dreams of SAF era and honestly don’t really know the really crappy years. It in fairness……. it looks like it’s coming again!

Keefy

Saw you were coming over for the Brighton game, enjoy!

Yes, the 70’s, I think it was 30p to get in and I went on the Stretford Paddock and End. The crush when we scored, so few will know that. You didn’t want to be on the barrier when hundreds crushed forward. I remember the crush and suddenly all the friends you stood with were elsewhere.

We didn’t get relegated against City, it was results elsewhere, but to live in Manchester, to go to school in Manchester after that day was beyond horrific. Still better days came and the Doc delivered some great moments. People haven’t really experienced those real lows yet, hopefully they won’t.

You boys are even older than me. I remember us in Div 2 and being promoted but started going in '79 when I was 14. As you say, some of us remember many years of us being generally crap, but we went for the love of the club. After that long, we get to criticise if we want.
