Hi Ed002 is there any interest in Donny Van de Beek from any clubs for transfer out this summer? Thanks in advance for your answers as always.

{Ed002's Note - Donny van der Beek (CM) - Ideally the club would like to sell. there will be interest in taking him on loan by mid or lower tier Premier League sides including Wolves and Nottingham Forest. A desired return to Ajax seems very unlikely. Crystal Palace, Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Roma and Nice offer potential options according to his misfit laden agent - and the club has given permission to talk with other clubs.}

Fear that we will have to look at a loan with either option or obligation to buy. His injuries, form and probably wage are putting buyers off.

For his sake he needs to find a club snare he will play some football. Neat and tidy player, just not sure why we bought him in the first place or where he fits in for us.

Feels like the club are working on some exits now with Donny, Fred and Maguire deals.

Probably the only one of Erik's few failings to date - he's improved pretty much every player, but if you thought there'd be one person who could help Donny show a glimpse of the player Ajax had he'd be the one.

A bit unfair to call it a failing, he was out for the majority of the season, the games he did play though we're underwhelming.

I think he's a very good player that has just had no luck or decent run in the team.

Unfortunately, at United, or any club of our size, you have make an immediate difference, particularly in CM.

There isn't any time to grow or bed in, unless you are a youth team player.

I thought Donny looked okay against RM, and he did score a nice goal against Lyon, which is not to say that he's good enough to get a regular spot at MUFC.

Donny is a good player, I was buzzing when we signed him. his confidence is shot and I think we were the wrong team at the wrong time. If eth was his 1st manager here he would have done well. He would do well in Italy or Spain, if we don't sell him we should loan him back to ajax, get him playing football and his confidence back and re-evaluate next summer.

Dvd is a light weight and not good enough for top tier pl teams. Unfortunately we will not be able to shift him unless we tske a sizeable loss. 10-15 mill i reckon woukd be best we can hope for. Plenty if mids in that range that offer similar qualities.

Perhaps a stretch of an argument, but with Onana coming in, and a quicker first eleven, the team may be playing higher up the pitch, which will suit Donny's game, with his good movement in the final third. That said, I am still not convinced of his defensive game. He had one very good tackle the other night, but overall he is not great at pressing and harrying the opponent on the ball.

Story in a tabloid yesterday saying Real Sociedad would take him on loan with a view to buy for 9 million. if there is any truth in that then even by our standards that's a terribe price.
