I think the holdup has more to do with Bayern's mooted rejection of United's opening bid for Pavard.

I'm hoping United won't go higher for him and instead turn to Todibo or Tapsoba.

Once again i'm looking at youtube clips of the CBs we are linked to todibo tapsoba schuurs and have to say none of them look top notch. The only fella I've been impressed with in last 12 months (again mostly youtube clips) was Kim min jae he does look like a top defender.

If I'm Maguire, why would I go West Ham who are not great? Everyone knows I'm available and they now know £30M will do, so perhaps I would just sit tight for the next 2 weeks and see who else might show an interest.

To Tim’s point, I do wonder if other clubs had stated an interest in Maguire and made him think twice - Villa being one providing a nice move back to the Midlands for Harry at what is a club on the up despite their opening day result.

Listening to eth on Maguire yesterday this deal to me does not sound like done and dusted. Its either his exit pay or wage demands I am guessing.

I am leaning towards his wage being considerably lower at Westham and him wanting us to pay the differential and a gap in what we are willing to pay.
