Hearing we've sign weghorst on loan. Disappointing if true.

Was poor at Burnley, but off the top of my head I think his goals record isn’t too bad? Especially in Germany, I remember hearing about him.

His goalscoring record is really good and he’s the profile of player we just don’t have. In Erik we trust.

He was crap at Burnley though.

I know it was only 1 game but I remember him being a real handful against us last season, maybe with better players around him he can be effective for 6 months then in the summer we can hopefully sign one of our top targets.

Changed the game for Holland against Argentina in the wc. That’s bout all I remember. If eth wants him then that’s fine by me. It’s only a loan after all.

Certainly a different kind of player to those we have, and he's actually a number 9 rather than a winger or 10 who plays there sometimes.

I trust Ten Hag, so I'm fine with it as it's clearly not the long-term solution and he will add some much needed physicality. Another bonus is that we now look a threat at set pieces and Weghorst is about 11ft tall.

Aboubakar makes me think of United signing Ighalo.

Weghorst makes me think about Ajax signing Haller.

Dont mind it along as the Glazers are gone before the plans for the summer are made.

The greater good.

Changed the game against Argentina in the world cup if I remember correctly. If Netherlands had of continued with the same plan of pumping it up to him then maybe a different outcome.

Mirror the message above. In Erik we trust!

We have all praised the EtH signings in the summer and want to get away from the Ed Woodward big splash signings. This has all the feel of an EtH player that fits a position of need without hindering the future plans.
If it is who he wants I am happy. makes more sense than Felix.

I think the impression that he was poor at Burnley is a little unfair.

He joined them in the January of 2022 when they were in a mess fighting relegation.

He was feeding off of absolute scraps for 6 months. This point is proven by the statistic that no side in EPL history created less goal scoring chances than Burnley last season. Messi himself would have struggled to score more than 5 goals in that side in half a season.

At every other club his goal scoring record is roughly one goal every two games. Which is solid, especially as he has never played in a side that was dominating the league and creating loads of chances.

He's obviously not the perfect player for us, and there will be doubts over whether ultimately he is good enough for where we want to be. But on a 6 month loan deal where the other options are either definitely not good enough, not the right profile of player, or hugely expensive then he might be a good solution.

He’s basically the plan B. Last 10 minutes go long ball if they need a goal.

He’s a cart horse. End of conversation.
