Earlier in the season there was a lot of talk about Henderson having a better season than DDG.

Would you try to move Dave on and give Hendo a chance as no.1 with Romero as back up or give Henderson another season on loan (probably at Sheffield United)?

Another season or two on loan at least. The more games he can get under his belt, the better he'll be when his chance comes.

De Gea hasn't had the best season but he still world class. He has enough good will in the bank from 6 fantastic seasons in my book.

Serious question, if we do want to get rid of dave de gea, which club is going to pay a substantial fee for him?

Same goes for pogba, the clamour for him to be sold is still strong on this forum but again which club is going to pay a substantial fee for him?

Back to de gea, the club gave him a 5 year contract not too long ago and apart from a truly horrible mistake against watford away he hasn't done too much wrong in my book.

Distribution and commanding his box are still issues but they were issues before he signed a whopping new contract. The club are going to stick with him for the long term me thinks.

He is allegedly on 300k a week moving him on and getting a decent fee would be very difficult. If someone was to offer a substantial amount and with the emergence of Henderson and Romero being a somewhat reliable keeper i think the club would happily let him leave.

Personally I feel that integrating Henderson as soon as possible is best. I think he is the long term solution to our GK position.

That said, I don't think DDG and Henderson will work in the same squad. Both are too good to be back up or to share the role. While DDG is on a huge deal and with the current situation it seems unlikely anyone will pay for him and match his current wages. I can see only three or four club's that might look to sign DDG. The two Madrid club's, but for Atletico to sign him it would be as a replacement for Oblak if he were to leave and DDG would need to accept a pay cut. PSG and Juventus who are both on the look out for a new GK in the next year or so.

I think if someone was to make an offer for DDG this summer we should take it and make Henderson our No.1. However, if no one makes a move then we should keep DDG as first choice and loan Henderson back out to Sheffield United after giving him a new contract.

Making the goalkeeper change for next season is too early. Different kettle of fish being in between the sticks at Old Trafford. Everything is going well for him at the minute, but it won't always.

There really isn't any need to rush this transition. As long as the player knows he'll be no.1 soon. It's actually quite insulting to suggest moving our best player of the last 6 seasons.

Mumbles, I don't think its that insulting. DDG would be a Real Madrid player right now if it wasn't for bargain office equipment failure.

He has also by his standards not been as great over the last couple of seasons.

While Pogba left on a free because he couldn't get into the team, Gomes looks like he might go the same way. Jude Bellingham is likely to choose moving to Dortmund because there isn't a clear path into the first team.

Henderson is the best English keeper at the present time, how long do you think he will be happy to be sent out on loan, he is currently on his 3rd or 4th loan already.

If someone offers us a decent amount for DDG we should thank him for everything he has done, and let him leave.

It took years to replace Schmeichel with VDS, while it took a couple of years patience with DDG before he became worthy. Now we have the perfect replacement in our mists, we need to make sure we don't lose him because we are holding on to DDG for too long.

If you look at DDG's 3 best seasons none of them have been in the last two years. We might be 4 years since DDG peaked.

Him being the best English keeper is irrelevant. How many talented keepers have been crushed under the weight of expectation at big clubs? How long does Henderson get if he doesn't hit the ground running with the very impressive Romero behind him?

He will be United no.1 soon. I don't think another year or two at Sheffield United would do him any harm. If all goes according to plan, he will be a United keeper for a decade. Plus he's learning from a far superior manger in Wilder.

Making the switch too early doesn't improve us vastly. You would be swapping a great goalkeeper with a great goal keeper. There is a big risk if it doesn't work.

The reason Chong and Gomes wanted to leave was the ineptitude of the manager and the staff. Ole spent every press conference talking about "United D. N. A" and how we don't need to sign replacements for out going players because of youth. Only to see the imposter Lingard play ahead of them and to a lesser extent, Pereira. Players that have zero future at Man Utd.

Ole talked them kids up only to neglect them. Whether they did themselves justice with the little game time they had, that's a different discussion. The fact Is, those players including the talented Garner should have being out playing men's football week in week out. Not as a stat for Ole to show how he plays football the "United way".

On Bellingham, it is a sad state of affairs that Manchester United who pulled out all the stops for an English kid, red carpet, Sir Alex giving them a tour, can't get this deal done.

Maybe Henderson will want to stay at Sheffield United another season. They may potentially finish above us.

I'd say if we get a decent offer for ddg I'd take it, henderson looks ready, next season he will become the England no1. Surely henderson won't want to go on loan again and if we sell him we will regret it in a couple of years when ddg needs replacing, when we had the answer under our noses all the time.

Mumbles you are turning a blind eye on the young players who had breakthrough - Greenwood and Brandon Williams.

And it's disgusting as fans labelling our own players as imposters etc, .

How would you describe Jesse Lingard then TRD?

Agreed with TRD our players deserve a bit of respect, whether or not you like the player. Players don't want to play badly or not fit the system.

Mumbles have you considered changing your name to fullblownrant?

Henderson being English is relevant. Manchester United are an English club. We have "homegrown" quota's to fill and having a player who is good enough who has come through our academy is part of the United DNA.

I don't think we need to worry about Henderson's mental fortitude, he has shown great mental strength already in his young career. Also DDG struggled in his first 18 months to two years. He was often rotated with Lindegaard. It didn't crush him, in fact it is probably a key part of what made him. So if Henderson struggles then we should support him.

As for Chong and Gomes, all a manager can do is give you the opportunity, the player themselves has to seize that chance. Rashford did, McTominay did, Williams has as has Greenwood. Greenwood holds the record for most sub appearances for a player under 23 in the EPL this season. This highlights that he hasn't been given loads of starts, or whole games. 10 minutes here and there to show he can step up, and he has. I'd agree that I'd have liked to have seen Garner given a few more chances, but he was out injured from the start of December until the end of February. Which unfortunately coincided with key injuries to our other midfielders.

You bash Ole for not picking Chong and Gomes even though Ole talks about players with "United DNA" but you point out the chances he has given to Lingard and Pereira, who also happen to be academy lads. So very much players with United DNA.

Bellingham wants playing time, a clear route into the team. That's difficult to promise to a 16 year old who has never played at this level.

Your whole post just seems like you're angry at Ole and want to bash him, but in reality your unable to as he hasn't done anything wrong recently.
