The whole DVB situation is yet another embarrassment the club have caused themselves, really is shameful how the club is currently run.

As for the team, I think we're better with 5 at the back. Our CB's aren't good enough in a back four. Luke Shaw isn't good enough LB but decent at LCB. I think we should go to a back 5 with Telles and AWB providing width, Shaw, Lindelof and Tuanzebe/ Maguire the three CB's.

For midfield I'd have Matic sitting, with VDB and Bruno, and then Rashford and Martial/ Cavani up top. Pogba on bench at best. He should have been sold. That's the way I'd like to see us set up until we could sort the CB issue we clearly struggle with.

Angel i'm not embarrassed and if any footballer believes he will move to a club and start regardless its him who should be embarrassed. I find it hard to belive that is the case.

He started against Luton and Brighton was he really that good that he couldn't be left out the starting 11 the next game.
Does he expect to start every game regardless?

He needs to be patient. He will get a start. And when he does its up to himself to show the manager, you can't drop me. I'm sure if he keeps his head down, works hard and has a good attitude he will be a starter.

Because as ed001 and Ed002 have explained he was signed for big money with the understanding he’d be an important player for us, and yet he hasn’t even started a premier league game yet, being kept out the size by a bang average Fred and McTominay, with no clear plan for the lad. It’s not like we’re top of the league playing amazing football and the teams picks itself is it. He can’t get a start and barely a sub appearance because our manager is Clueless.

 I would assume he is just not settling in as quickly as some do. On the face of it, it seems to be a unnecessary buy to be honest, but it does allow Ole to bleed him into the team gradually. It took Robertson and Fabinho months to force their way into the Liverpool team after they joined, purely because they took time to get the hang of the instructions they were being given. They would both revert automatically to their previous style of play once on the pitch, it might be that vdB is the same. He has come through at Ajax and only known one way to play, you have plenty of options in that position, so you can take your time and make sure he is fully ready to go when he does get starts.

He will take time to get used to his new surroundings and League he is or will be playing in
Have you ever thought that he is probably doing a lot of work behind the scenes to get himself up to speed? As in fitness etc etc
Give the lad a break, and also your manager for that matter

What is embarrassing is this whole overreaction to the DVB ‘thing’, firstly in the press then by proxy here. Clearly the player was scouted extensively by Ole for some time. Just because he hasn’t started a few games the whole thing is a mistake? Please. He’ll play plenty and I expect the midfield competition will ease in the next few windows.

Agree spenno he will play plenty. Once he get into the team i would expect him to play well enough to oust others from the line up.
