Yeah ofcourse he was right. His team proved it against Cadiz,19th placed team in la liga. Ronaldo obviously disrupted that dressing room.

UA, some times you really say asinine things.

The game against Cadiz was clearly a warm up game where the result was not something the manager was too concerned about.

Our line up for the first half was:

Dubravka, AWB, Lindelof, Mengi, Williams, McTominay, Iqbal, Elanga, Donny, Garnacho, Martial.

Only Martial of those players could arguably be considered a first choice player.

At halftime EtH made 10 substitutions, with our second half team looking like:

Dubravka, Jurado, Di Bernard, Fredricson, Murray, Mainoo, Savage, Emeran, Hansen-Aaroen, Shoretire and McNeill.

Which bar Dubravka in goal is a youth side, with 7 of them making their first ever appearance in the first team.

Your attempts to defend a player who has twice forced his way out of our club and has said some pretty deflationary things about our club to do so.

Ronaldo is our past now, and we are likely to have a brighter future without him at this stage in his career. Even his national team seems to be coming to the conclusion that they can be a better side without him than with him.

It's a shame, but time waits for no man. Ronaldo is becoming yesterday's man. Move on and look to the futue.

For the first time in a decade the ‘top two players’ in the world doesn’t contain Ronaldo, even if the player himself clearly feels it should, and he hasn’t been able to deal with that.
As an aside, it probably doesn’t contain Messi either. I don’t know who’s replaced them - Mbappe for one - but they are miles off at present. I don’t see a player right now in the world who even belongs in the same breath.

Spenno. I'd say Ronaldo hasn't been in top two players for about 3 years.

He's not even currently top 100 players in world. The amount he dropped from first season to second was astounding.

Even his touch is as bad as Lukaku at times now, he's as slow as Peter crouch, finishes like heskey.

Albeit go down as top 2 greatest ever and so he should but he's finished now, can't cut it at high level he's 37 go enjoy the money in Saudi.

Seen how better Portugal were without him, can't see him starting again this tournament.

No right ofcourse. All of you world cup winners are better placed to judge him. You should be ashamed to say such things about the greatest. Be thankful to have watched him play for 20 years.
Caolan, i have a very sarcastic comment for you but i will respect your health and let it pass. You take care of your health and do find better things to do in this condition rather than being here.

United Addict when did you stop supporting football clubs and started supporting players then?

It's plain to anyone with 2 eyes, well even stevey wonder can see united are a better team with out ronaldo and Portugal are also a better team with out ronaldo.

UA, Everyone respects Ronaldo's career.
But his recent behavior is unacceptable. He's trying to make everything about him.
His ego and arrogance instead of accepting his decline has been disgusting.

UA, if you don't remove your head from Ronaldo's posterior soon I'm afraid you'll suffocate.

No one is saying Ronaldo hasn't been a great player, but he hasn't played great this season and his behaviour has been appalling.

He's in decline and his fragile ego can't accept it.

Oh wow I read down and assumed UA’s post was a joke and people had misunderstood but he actually backed it up, that’s amazing.

Are you seriously talking about the Cadiz result? It was literally men v boys 2nd half and 1st half was all of the squad players, we have 16 players at the World Cup, if you’re seriously using that to make a point it’s madness.

UA does the sun shine as much up there as Ronnie thinks it does?

You only have to look at Messi to see how to bow out gracefully from the World Cup and football in general. Not finished yet of course but he is fast becoming THE undisputed best ever player as he is not wrecking his reputation with petulance and childishness.

Messi is more about the team and not himself. Ronaldo does not care who he plays for as long as he is the focus of attention and throws the dummy as soon as that is not the case.

He has been a great player, that cannot be denied, but his recent antics show how fragile he really is and he is going to need help to transition to retirement, which may be sooner than he hopes.

Thanks for the good times mate but I’m certainly not sad to see you go. Part of the problem and not the solution.

Shappy i am afraid i am not as deep inside as you and several others were inside Ole's and now ETH's.

GdS, how was Betis?

16.) 11 Dec 2022
11 Dec 2022 11:22:07
UA, I was critical of both Ole and I have been of EtH when I thought mistakes were made that was reasonably inside their control.

I have a tendency to support the managers until it become apparent that they aren't going to work out.

I have the same approach to players as well.

I find it tends to work better than making snap judgements after every result/ performance.

I understand that there is context and things beyond my knowledge that also impact how a manager is seemingly performing.

Mostly however I base my support for a player/ manager on how they publicly treat our club.

Ronaldo has twice come out publicly and slammed our club for purely self-serving reasons.

Why would I or any self-respecting Manchester United fan support someone who treats our club and by extension the fan base with such disrespect and disregard?

You seem to place Ronaldo above United in this situation which to me and many other die hard Manchester United supporters just seems weird and alien.

17.) 11 Dec 2022
11 Dec 2022 15:28:22
Each to their own Shappy. I do not place Ronaldo above the club but i do see merit in what he has said about the club, no matter what his reasons were. Thousands of you manchester locals, the so called "fan base" have been making a mockery of the club by carrying out stupid marches and causing disruptions to the club and games. Your reasons are similar to what Ronaldo has stated. Yes he said ETH didn't respect him so he doesn't either. I don't see much wrong in that. I won't respect someone who doesn't reciprocate. Human nature. That caused almost the same amount of humiliation to the club as Ronaldos interview, if not more.

Someone mentioned Messi. Let me know when Messi steps out of his comfort zone with no Xavi or Iniesta behind him doing all the hard work and creating magic and then going on to win something meaningful. Oh right he never did it. Ronaldo created records in 3 different leagues with different players behind him under different circumstances and different stages of his career. Messi chose a league where only 1 team ever wins the league and no surprise which team he chose.

I just respect the true legend of the game, Ronaldo.

11 Dec 2022 17:37:04
Ua I think you need to look at who wins la liga and Barcelona are not the big winners.
When ronaldo joined juve they had won seria A 5 tor 6 times in a row when left them they were no longer champions.
Messie has won the title in France. Madrid only won a couple of league title with Ronaldo. His period there saw their worst collection of league titles over any 10 year period for 80 years. But they did great in cl.
I think their numbers make them both legends. It's completely disingenuous to try and disrespect either of their team or individual successes.
The Ronaldo interview was a money making publicity stunt anybody who can't see that is a fool imo.
He had further motivation in order to force his way out on his terms on his grounds and with his voice being the loudest.
He achieved his goal and the club got out without a pay off its a win win all round in my opinion.
I think Ronaldo has handled it badly you are in the minority which is where you usually are with your opinions. Which is fine by me.
I am hoping Argentina win the wc. He has been really good so far and I'd love to see Messi sign out at the top with a wc win and go off and showcase his skills in the states or the likes and promote the game worldwide.
Ronaldo likewise. I hope he stays out middle east and gets another 100 goals to his credit and half a billion quid over 3 years.
I feel privileged to have seen then both slug it out to self proclaim the title of GOAT. Which in my opinion is futile when Imo Maradona has that all wrapped up?.

How was Betis? The same as Cadiz, all our players are at the World Cup. Are you being genuine? Now think you might just be a troll.
