Don’t blame him one bit as we were stupid enough to give him his deal. He’ll be forgotten quickly when he’s gone, but he’s still the best finisher at our club right now. That’s how bad it’s got.

Aparently van Gaal wanted him to stay, and he refused and wanted to go out on loan. Then we want him to ho, and he refuses and wants to stay.

Yet another piece of tragic mismanagement from the suits, Joel supposedly block Jose from selling him because he was his favourite player. That alone is reason to hate the glazers.

AM will stay in the hope of getting a bigger signing fee and contract in the summer. If anyone signs him they are crazy.

No top team in any European league will touch him. Useless in terms of injury record. He will end up in a second trier team somewhere and end his career on a whimper.

I am not sure its his moping or his desire, I think his injuries have physically done him in. He was so quick and almost unplayable in early days but too many stop starts in his career.

I can relate a bit on a personal level as I have had so many injuries between golf and skiing the body just feels beaten up and every time I think I am getting really fit again something bad happens. If it was not for starting Yoga a couple of years ago I reckon I would have had to pack it all in or ended having a third back surgery.

Club should have never extended him. we do lots of stupid things.

So the answer is for Martial to take up yoga? Interesting but I think he will find that even yoga is scarily fast action for him. ?.

Fizz

You would be surprised how many elite athletes are now doing it as part of other things they do and helps them with protecting against injuries and prolonging their careers. IMO one of the best things you can do as you get older. Djokovic comes to mind.

One thing is for sure that when his deal ends in the summer he's going to be hit in the pocket because no club in the right mind is going to pay this clown anywhere near the amount that he robs off United.
What a joke of a player he is.
The sooner the likes of Martial and Sancho along with a few other are gone the better.

I would not be and indeed I am not in the least bit surprised re the yoga.
However whilst we are in dialogue, IMO one of the best things you can do as you get older is learn to understand humour and recognise a joke. Billy Connoly comes to mind. Sigh.

Thank you. I appreciate the lifestyle advice ?.

Giggs did yoga for years and look how long he played for.

Fizz a living example of someone that thinks he is funny but the audience thinks not. Unlike the great Billy Connolly.
Sarcasm is often difficult to pick up on in writing. ?.

Ken, it's very easy to pick up in your writing. ?

For those that are hard of reading please understand that I have nothing against yoga and understand its benefits. I also understand how it helped Giggs and Djokovic. Martial, however, is, I believe beyond the help of anything currently known to all sciences.

I agree, ahead, I had a soft spot for Martial for years but even I lost patience with him last couple of seasons.

Ole played him too much through injury and this has contributed to his physical collapse.

He had one very good season with Ole and a few other good ones but it never lasts long enough.

Fizz

I was not talking about yoga would fix martial but more about how injuries take their toll and it has definitely taken its toll on him. You just never the same again after multiple injuries after injuries and was sharing that yoga has helped me to do some of the things I enjoy.

People say he is lazy and not motivated, I just think he is broken physically and unable to ever reproduce what he was a few years ago.

Now that's a fact fizz.
He has driven me nuts since day one I had endless debates with a former poster here on martial.
He has a few good attributes none least his natural ability and talent but he lacks too many of the fundamentals required to be a top player despite his ability.
I don't think he even understands the game at all. I'm not even sure he is only lazy half the time he doesn't even see the runs he needs to make.
So I also think he is beyond help fizz because if he lacks the desire to score goals and/ or lacks the football intelligence to see the opportunities then there is no hope for him.

I don’t understand how you can have soft spots for players unless they are youths and are on their way through. I get you can have favourites that are genuinely great players, but as soon as they fall off they need to buck up or get out. Having a soft spot for a player that had a handful of good games over a 9 year period is beyond me.
