The picture of Hojlund, Garnacho, and Mainoo made me think of the statue of Best, Law, and Charlton. Obviously a long long way to go, from general management, structure, to sales and recruitment, but here's hoping.

Ahmad, I think that is why he said - 'long way to go. '

I agree with the sentiment. There is something about our great club when it has a core of young talent (especially when through the acadamy) that just connects with the fans.
All 3 mentioned are developing into key players and we just have to hope that the club and fans give them time and patience when they have off periods.
I think the recruitment this summer will continue this, looking at young good quality/ value purchases.

It’s a phenomenal picture of 3 fantastic talents that could and should be at the club for years to come, Hojlund is an absolute beast at 21, the pressure we have put on him this season at that age to be the main striker for Manchester United and he’s just become the youngest player to score in 4 league games in a row for us, it’s a shame we didn’t have another top striker to allow him to settle in and learn a bit more but maybe the last 5 months will be the making of him being thrown in at the deep end.

Fireman

We have some of the most toxic fans around that turn on our players, managers etc etc after being in love with them and for whatever reason they think they are under delivering.

No reason to be even going there with these 3 kids and leave them be and let them develop. They have potential to be really good players maybe great and a brilliant core for the club but law, best, Charlton is next level and most never even get close.

I am one of the most positive people here given how this season has gone so far. I see a lot more positive than negative than most here. I am a bit more middle of the road when it comes to sentiment and opinion and don't blow hot and cold.

I have no sympathy for fans that turn on the players or manager. They’re out there trying to win games, the least fans could do is stop giving them flirty winks or showing a bit of ankle. It’s hard enough to play at the top level without having to worry about a semi showing in your shorts.

Most football club supporters live their life in hope.
It's a nice hope to think these 3 will do well here for many years and reach the heights of their predecessors.
It's OK to hope for that imo.
Some fans feel the best way to show their support is to pick on and jump on every negative about the club. To moan and whinge about the many moany whingey players. To give out about finances they don't understand. To want to sign players the club have no interest in. To want to pick a different team every week and to rarely say anything supportive at all. Each to their own.
As you say Danny all opinions are valid but if people are bold enough to state their opinions then they should be happy with those opinions being challenged.

I think to draw a comparison to the United Trinity as far as the pose goes is not a bad thing. As players that will clearly take a lot to achieve, if at all. But we can dream eh!

But imagine if in 40 years time there is a statue of that outside the new stadium?

I’ll be long gone by then so will never know.

Challenge opinions with your own, build an alternative argument is right. However, insulting people directly, people you don’t know, using insults trying to shut down other opinions you don’t agree with isn’t challenging an opinion. All that is doing is trying to create an echo chamber. It will become far less of a site if the Ed’s allow direct insults in what is effectively bullying on line.

In terms of the main point, I think we should have more statues than we have, opposition should arrive in their coach down a street lined with the Robsons, Cantonas, Stam, Rooney, Ronaldo. It should make them realise where they have come to play. I liked the image of the three sat there, let’s hope they all grow to merit a statue.
