As predicted the club have apparently triggered the 1 year extension on pogbas contract well before jan to prevent him leaving on a free next summer.
I wonder will this move trigger new contract talks or not.
Im not sure too many clubs want to pay a big fee but if he runs his contract down there would be no shortage of offers to consider i'm sure.
Let's hope ole finds a way to get him playing well.

Who will be at United longer, Ole or Pogba?

Just want to stop him leaving free i guess but tbh I'd pay for his taxi to wherever he feels like.

Worst kept secret in Manchester. His hearts been in Madrid for years. There ain’t a hope in hell that he’ll sign a new contract with us, it’s all been engineered by his agent to get him over there. He’d have been over there last year if Madrid had the money, but what they’ve probably said is hang on until you have a year left and we’ll sign you then when United are forced to take a smaller fee.

I hate the Spanish mob and their little games, you watch when he’s got a year left with us, they’ll wheel out Benzema in front of the cameras to spout about how great a player Pog is and he’ll always be welcome at the Bernabaeu. Plus, it’s no coincidence we’ve signed DVB, he’s obviously been identified as Pog’s replacement, it’s just that we had to sign him now at a decent price to prevent the fee been inflated when we inevitably flog Pog!

If he’s smart he’ll sign a new deal with an agreed release clause and be gone in January. He’s 27 now and will be 29 by the time his contract’s up. He’ll get a nice signing on fee if he runs the contract down but will struggle to find anybody willing to give him a long contract - especially if his form hasn’t improved massively. Getting a big 5 year deal in January would make a lot more sense than wasting his best years at a club that he doesn’t want to be at and then getting a 2-3 year deal in 2 years time.

Sad it didn’t work out with Pogba - but stop flogging a dead horse. He doesn’t want to be here anymore and that’s fair enough. You can’t keep someone against their will it’s crazy.

Encourage some decent bids, get him out in Jan and build the team around Bruno and VDB who looks a class act in the glimpses we have seen so far.

why not be proactive for once and offer Pogba to Real in exchange for Rafael Varane in January or next summer. Both at the same age and the same contract length, should be a decent offer from our side.

We could cut some 30 million quid from our annual budget (13 million wages plus at least 19 million amortization from the fee paid to Juventus, not even accounting for agent fees etc. as I don't know whether they are deducted over the contracting period or as a one off) and thus make room for new signings.

Why on earth would selling Pogba mean manchester united would gain money from Juventus. it would only change the timing within the accounts nothing else.

I know what i would do with Pogba, tie his 2 feet into 1 boot around the back of his head and kick his ass to Spain for free! :D Fukn Mercenary!

Pogba hurts his career. He should ask a transfer request to force a move away. No point hold a player who doesn't want to be here, again no point for him staying in a place doesn't want to. Its a lose-lose so i can't understand why they don't sit down to find a solution.
