Fabrizio reporting personal terms agreed with Tellas, fee being discussed with Porto tonight.

Sounds like the amateurs are slowly making progress. They must be paid by the hour rather than by the deal!

2.) 28 Sep 2020 08:01:20
I've heard that the delay of the Sancho deal is for commercial purpose. And I slightly agree with that opinion, imagine Ed pulling this deal so late, after everyone gave up. The Internet will crush.

3.) 28 Sep 2020 09:45:25
Ziko, I would doubt that. I can't see Dortmund being happy to have this drag on just so United can get some big hits on social media. While I can't imagine Sancho would be happy to delay and not be able to move, settle in and start training with his new teammates. Then would Ole be happy to not have a player like Sancho for 3-4 games at the start of the season. We could go out of the League cup this week, while points dropped before he joins could be attributed to him not having signed.

Social media and publicity might play a key role in the club's thinking for many things. However, I would doubt that they would risk dropping vital points that might be the difference between finishing 5th or 4th and qualifying for the UCL just so they can be the biggest trending name on social media for a few days.

I agree on that point, where I too would like to see our final squad as early as it can be. But nevertheless money talks, It is Glazers and Ed in the end, we never know what's up their minds. I'm still positive that Sancho will end up in a red shirt (or zebra)

I heard the Sancho Deal is been held up because he refuses to play the recorder when we unveil him, he reckons he could outdo Sanchez on the piano.

Congrats on Wazza as the new Derby boss, tough first gig.

Is there any chance that Shanghai would accept Martial instead of sending Ighalo back?

Grimslives

02 Jan 2021 10:25:56
With the games coming thick and fast should we extend Ighalo's contract till then end of the season?

Grimslives

1.) 02 Jan 2021 10:32:01
What’s the point? Has he even played a game this season? With cavani, rashford, martial and greenwood we have more than enough cover.

2.) 02 Jan 2021 11:20:17
Ighalo can't even get on the bench.
What is the point of extending his contract?

3.) 02 Jan 2021 12:50:59
No, not good enough. Simple. I appreciate the effort he made and the desire but there is no need.

With our 5th game in 16 days tomorrow against the Villa I expect a similarly muted performance, but with Liverpool up against Southampton where they might drop points, it could set it up nicely for a top of the table clash mid January.

I hope the players can raise their game -I know they are tired but surely they will know what 3 points tomorrow night will mean going into the New Year.

Bizarre season already, win our game in hand and we could be two points off the top. How did that happen?

Grimslives

1.) 29 Nov 2020 18:47:46
Haven’t we already been relegated?

2.) 29 Nov 2020 19:18:43
GDS, this is why you get some stick mate 🙄.

It is an utterly bizarre season. Chelsea are contenders apparently yet here we are breathing down their necks. We need one of Ole’s good runs and who knows where we will be.

3.) 29 Nov 2020 21:31:29
It was just a joke AJH, it’s a banter site, have we all lost our sense of humour?

4.) 30 Nov 2020 08:37:38
I know it was a joke mate, I just know some will not find it funny.

Its weird how we can be toothless one week and then do what we did yesterday. It is sometimes a game of fine lines, no team has looked consistently great this year, its a strange old season.

I did notice our goals scored is pretty poor, and as someone else pointed out, our 3 forwards haven't got going yet, if they do, who knows what might happen.

5.) 30 Nov 2020 10:24:55
I know mate, very strange season and one which in my opinion is there for the taking for any team who can find some consistency. Unfortunately that has been a problem for us under Ole and I’m not sure we will have enough to win it or even challenge.

We have won every away game this season and we have gone behind in them all, that shows a great fighting spirit and in the last few years we have struggled after going behind to show the fight needed to come back. At some point going behind so much will come back to bite us and we need to start games in the way we finish them, but the spirit to come back shows that the players are playing for the manager, something we perhaps didn’t see under previous regimes.

Remember that TV series with Digby-Jones called The Troubleshooter, where he went into businesses and told them where they were going wrong.
We could pitch a new TV series The Ed, where Ed02 goes into football clubs and tells them how to fix their problems. Netflix will snap it up, especially if we sell it as a rival to Prime's All or Nothing show.

Maybe we should just concentrate on getting this squad playing as a team rather than looking to buy.

Not sure Real will be Pogba's next destination, aren't they prioritising Mbappe, a right winger and Camavinga next summer?

Pogba should be playing as understudy to Bruno, with Fred and VdB and Matic and McTominey fighting for the other two positions.

Ole said there would be no excuses if we lost, well apparently there are.

Interesting that both the Manchester clubs started late, struggled for a few months, but if they win their games in hand they will be first and second in the league and we are only half way through the season.

Darren Fletcher been brought into the first team coaching set-up as well.
I still think Ole would be best as a DOF at United, but who can argue with results hey, the Villa game was one of the most entertaining United games I have seen in a few years.

Wasn't good introduced in the 70s to encourage teams to score goals, otherwise you just have teams shutting up shop after going 1-0 up.
