Diaz was listed on the major update over the holidays, but I assume Spurs and Liverpool are the 2 talking with his agent?

There were some reports today that we may be interested and prompted into a bid. Ed has said we have interest in the player, i believe he has also said on the liverpool page that an acceptable offer may arrive obviously he did not say from whom. There is interest i'd imagine we are more likely looking at a midfielder but you never know seems a well liked player hopefully a busy few days on transfers especially with ed saying that is a possibility someone comes in earlier. Hope i haven't misconstrued any of what you've said ed.

It's quite funny actually, on the Liverpool page yesterday they were all slating him when he looked like he was of to Spurs. "Not good enough", "overrated", "likely to flop in the EPL" etc.

Now the sun shines out the kids arse, he'll be better than Mane apparently.

I don't know a huge amount about him, I know he's highly rated and has done really well for Porto. Beyond that I don't know if he'll do well or flop. Who knows, although Liverpool have in recent years been pretty good on the transfer front.

I just love how he was awful yesterday when heading to Spurs, but will be one of the best players in the league today now he's going to Liverpool ?.

As hmasson2 correctly pointed out, there is no such posts on the LFC board where posters were slating Diaz. I have checked through both the rumours and banter pages.

There is no need to make this up and even if some fans do this, would it be different to any other club pages? We all overhype players that we want to sign and some put down the players when linked somewhere else in order to hide their dissapointment.
Similar to you actually when Ole was in charge and how you where defending him until prob last 3 weeks of his tenure, but jumped ship when you knew it was likely not going to work out (different context but similar)

or when United brought Wan Bissaka didn't some of your fans say he was better than Trent etc

Anyway hopefully LFC complete the deal for Diaz - i for 1 will be excited if he signs in the same way i was dissapointed when we didn't get Werner or Sancho.

Diaz looks like an exciting player, mind you they all do in these dodgy YouTube videos. Quite how those tricks and first touches come off in the Prem against top defenders who know all of them will be interesting to see, but I am looking forward to seeing him if he comes over here.

You’ve taken Jordz’ comment completely out of context, he preceded it by saying he’d prefer us to sign Bowen. It’s not writing off Diaz but having a preference.

Thunderbirds comment is more related to the price of the player, this was the price Ed002 had mentioned previously, rather than his quality.

JK’s was likely a similar concern with regards to money but I couldn’t find it to verify the context.

In your original comment you said posters had said he “wasn’t good enough”, “overrated”, “likely to flip in the EPL” - none of your evidence backs this up. You spouted garbage and your supposed evidence fails to back up any of your claims. You are getting no apology, next time try not being a dick by making things up to discredit others.

JK23's comments say nothing of price or value for money. Just "dodged a bullet" by not signing him. Strongly suggests that he feels the player will flop. Then suddenly a couple of days later when he's about to sign for Liverpool suddenly he's digging up stats to prove what a great player he will be for Liverpool. Lording his speed.

It happened, deal with it like a grown up. Some fans got excited and hyped him up, he then looked like joining a rival so some got the knives out, then had to change their tune when he signed.

Fans at every club do it, it's hilarious. People living in the moment and happy to change their opinion with the wind, based on nothing tangible.

It's a banter site, get over it. United fans poke fun at Liverpool fans, Liverpool fans poke fun at United fans. It's just Banter.
