Ed's, have you any idea of any interest in Schneiderlin of Southampton? Watched him a couple of games this season and I think he doesn't get the credit he deserves if I'm honest!

Red Devil Chris

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

1.) Ok thanks anyway :)

2.) Think you will find he gets plenty of credit at Saints-players player for last year plus supporters player as well. VERY highly regarded by the club and unlikely to want to take a step down to a club struggling below his current one!
(Couldn't resist that one, sorry.) Morgan is a top player and will be exceptional in a year or two. He will not be leaving Saints, having joined at a young age and stuck with them through administration and a drop to League One. Whilst he did not come through the Academy like Lallana, he is seen of equal importance to the clubs future.

What could be interesting is that if France keep ignoring him for their national team, he could play for England due to long term residency. I would suggest he could easily be a replacement for Lampard or Gerrard.

Ed002
Who do you personally believe to be the most realistic targets for us that will help us become a threat in all competitions? Anyone else is welcome to have a shout too! I'd like to think Coentrao/gundogan would, but I'm questioning how realistic a target gundogan would be :p {Ed002's Note - Coentrao and Herrera would not be out of the question. Garay remains of interest - but not just to MUFC now.}

Red Devil Chris

1.) Ed002, are City back in for Garay now? I am not too bothered if we miss out on a CB. I think LB and CM are the most important areas to improve for now. {Ed002's Note - I understand he is an option they are considering.}

2.) Not sure he'll ever be truly top class, but Herrera would improve us so much in the short term.

Herrera alongside Carrick would be great at winning and keeping the ball, and he could push forward to help open up defences. He isn't quite as creative as more dedicated playmakers in the middle like Thiago for example, but he is far, far better than Cleverly, and he isn't as poor defensively as Thiago etc.

Considering that he would have probably only cost a few million more, he would have been a much better buy than Fellaini this summer.

Daft one, but has anyone seen how much like his brother Jonas Hummels looks?! Crazy stuff!

Red Devil Chris

1.) 22 Jul 2014 19:07:54
Don't say that. Ed will end up signing the Wrong one

2.) That was going to be my next point mate!

Still would love to see Vidal join, very good player to watch. On that note, united player or not, who would you liken Vidal to who you've watched play before? Or would you not at all liken him to anyone and consider him purely individual?

Red Devil Chris

1.) 22 Jul 2014 14:39:20
He's most similar to Yaya Toure, but he's abit quicker and a harder worker. He will drive the team forward with his all action displays. A true box to box warrior, as likely to put in a last minute sliding tackle as he is to burst forward and score the winner in extra time.

2.) 22 Jul 2014 14:43:32
Keano

3.) 22 Jul 2014 14:53:30
Think you'd have to liken him to Keane: rampages box to box, vocal, passionate, shots on goal, gets everyone involved in play. What's Chilean for shrimp sandwiches?

4.) Marouane Fellaini, circa 2013.

5.) Agree 100% with the keane comments

6.) Shappy, I've been saying to friends that I believe were it not for Toure, Vidal would be considered the best CM in the world. I do see elements of Roy too like.

7.) Keane but better tecnically

8.) Robbo and keano

Would love Hummels at united. He is a quality defender. Can't say the low fee would shock me though considering we acquired kagawa for such a low fee when he was killing the bundesliga.

Kags had one year left on his contract. Hummels is unlikely and at the reported figure impossible

2.) You may see your wish granted shortly :)

Haven't really read into it much but as much as I'd love Vidal to sign for us, is it not possible that conte resigned because of the vacant position of Italian national team manager? Could be way off but he was claimed to have stated he would find it difficult to continue to win with juventus. I've got to say though the prospect of signing Vidal and possibly strootman in January is very exciting.

Not United related but R.I.P Alfredo Di Stefano, exceptional player who really helped make Madrid the club they are today.

Coentrao is a really good shout for another left back. Wouldn't mind Modric either. would that still be enough though? If we do play 4-3-3 surely Moyes doesn't think just Carrick, Giggs and Cleverley/Anderson will be an exciting combination? Well I don't but I'm just a fan :P I'd take those two over bale any day!

Fairly inevitable really, he's a good player having proven so time and time again, I'm just wondering what he would be at Champions League level though. I'm a keen admirer of the likes of Arturo Vidal and Kevin Prince-Boateng, but I doubt either would happen sadly

He's a good CM, proven in the league and in Europe to an extent. I'd quite like to see us sign him. Wouldn't have minded strootman either

Benatia, vlaar and maybe hector Herrera, was very impressed with how he played for Mexico, I'm just wondering if him and Ander would compliment each other though. Ron vlaar would purely be for defensive stability and that he is used to our league, and benatia to be the quality centerback if the pursuit for hummels doesn't go to plan. There are better options of course but I've saved time and just picked 3 reasonable players.
