Dalot has been linked with both Real Madrid and Bayern.
Diogo Dalot was the Players' Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season. He was genuinely one of the better players in a rubbish season.
For me its time to cash in, if there are two or three clubs interested, leverage the interest and sell.

Is there any cover after Maz back there?

If that is true then I would cash in. He is a good player but always has a clanger in him and switches off as a defender.
I would be happy to go into next year with Maz and a new addition.

Dalot is a dreadful player.
I would drive him to Madrid my self.
Absolute sh*t house of a player, no guts, always out of position, shocking at defending and when he gets forward he generally makes a pigs ear of it whether it being an attempted shot or cross.
However I will give him his dues, he has played well in the last 2 games. I would much rather Maz was playing as right full back.

Rewz,
It woukd also be classed as our profit for the club aswell, since he has been at the club for more than 5.5 years.

He's been linked the last couple of years and it's never happened. As much as I'd love it to.

He's played much better in a defined RB position since Amorim left. He's been sprinting out quickly to mark his winger. He's been aided by a second man, either a midfielder or the winger cutting off the spaces in front of the goal. Depends on who else needs buying but there would be a good case to keep Dalot (26) and Mazraoui (28) unless a really good offer comes in and the replacement is not going to cost an arm and a leg.
He's costing us £3.5m a year. A new established quality RB would cost us £30m+ and at least the same salary on top of that. so £10m a year inc amortization. 1st priorities will be replacing Casemiro and Ugarte, looking for a back up for Shaw, and a secondary striker to replace Zirkzee.

And one thing to be fair to Dalot. He’ll never be more than just fine, but he loves playing for the Utd and this club.

He is consistent. Never really a 9, very occasionally an 8, mostly a 6.5, sometimes a 3.
If he could cut out the 3's, he is a very good squad player. however if there is an offer incoming, take it. Mazraoui can infill and we should get some who can actually take a throw in.

Dalot is far from an average player. He's generally solid defensively, especially when playing as a conventional right back in a back 4. Obviously he's not world class but he's a solid player for us that hugely cares about the club, is clearly popular among the squad, always gives his absolute best, rarely gets injured, and has never criticized the the club, the manager, the coaches, or other players or caused any controversy.
He's a decent player, proper club man, and top professional, and given how many players we have had in the last few years who have hardly given a toss he should absolutely be kept around.
We are also far weaker at left back than right back anyway, since Shaw has hardly ever been able to stay fit for more than about 3-6 months at a time before spending months out injured, and has lost his explosive pace that he had a few years ago, and Dorgu, whilst exceptional in the last couple games in which he has played further forward, is quite shaky defensively, and those are the only two first team left backs we have.
With that in mind we should be signing a left back this summer to compete with Shaw, and keeping both Dalot and Mazraoui for right back. In a couple years it will be time for Shaw and Mazraoui to move on, and we can hopefully sign a right back to replace Mazraoui that can be first choice, with Dalot staying as a decent squad player, and a left back to replace Shaw, as an option to rotate with whichever left back we sign this summer.

I want Dalot's agent. That guy is a hero.
I think he's got all the attributes to be a good player except mentally. Prone to a huge defensive lapse in every single game. He is suspect positionally and for a fullback doesn't seem to get his body position right to be able to stop crosses. But his technique is good and he's always available and well liked by coaching staff and fellow players. If he starts regularly for us next year, we won't be challenging. He's at best a squad player. So if we can get good money for him we should definitely cash in.
