The common denominator in this whole VDB situation is Ole. The sooner we get a coach/ manager who knows what he's doing the better.

Picking your 11 based on sentimentality is killing the cohesion of the squad, just like hiring Ole on sentimentality is hindering the progression of the squad.

This obsession of doing things the United Way is going to lead to our demise because Ole doesn't have a clue.

He believes that playing under Sir Alex automatically qualifies him not realising that you need some level of intelligence and ruthlessness to apply it which Ole clearly doesn't and will never possess.

The ‘common denominator’ needs at least two things for one of them to be common, Ole isn’t the common denominator in one situation, it makes no sense unless you’re just trying to shoe horn another reason to have a go at him.

What team exactly has he picked on sentimentality? He’s the first manager in years willing to drop Pogba and pick players who work hard in midfield who aren’t necessarily the ‘big names’.

I would normally agree that a new player particularly with no league experience should not be guaranteed a start.

However we have played 5 league games and have been very poor in 3 of them and average in the other two not withstanding a good last 15 mins against Newcastle .

He should have had more opportunities both off the bench and from the start imo. People will draw their own conclusions on why he hasn't played more.

Ole has said he will play and is in his plans in his news conference today. But he said that about smalling sanchez lukaku periera lingard and so on.

Managers will lie at the drop of a hat because they can't and shouldn't be expected to tell the truth all the time.

It really is no big deal after 5 games that he hasn't started. But it becomes frustrating when the people keeping him out are not playing very well and he can’t get a decent run.

People play or don’t play, it’s the managers choice.

However, at some point DvB was told by the manager he was in his plans to play, there was an opportunity for him and now he finds out he is only a back to someone else that Ole will not drop. The player signed for United and now finds things are not as sold. People think it is ok to give a player that impression?

Yet again people jump in Ole’s defence, there again it should not be a surprise when he was some people’s all time favourite player.

Yes, the Ed has said everything clearly, those who love Ole will deny everything. It isn’t just Ole, but to some Ole can do nothing wrong.

This whole issues raises many questions, not just on Ole, but as soon as there is any criticism, the Ole defence starts. When some loved him as their favourite player it’s harder to be objective of him as manager.

I’ve deliberately not ‘defended Ole’ as I know how the ends up, I point out if people are being unfair and causing issues where there aren’t any. I’m not particularly bothered if Ole stays or goes, I know there are better managers out there and I always felt he would leave a better squad for the next guy, I think he could probably do the rest of this season and do ok with what we have and then we may need another manager to push on. There’s no amazing defence of him, anyone who disagrees with you is apparently jumping to the defence when perhaps they just disagree with you?

This happens all the time, the same people posting exactly the same thing on every single post and bringing everything back to the point they want to make, I could literally tell you what Ken, Red Man and Angel were going to have written on this post as I scrolled down, why waste your time banging the same drum, just post it once and we will know your opinion, saying the same thing over and over is crazy IMO.

Angel, Donny could be benched for 30th game running and he'd still be settling in according to some, United fans bring it up because he is a top class player who is doing well in training and is one of the players we should be building a team around and because we care about our team being better, but 20 mins here and there and an agent looking to get him out to somewhere better is obvs acceptable for a new player lied too to get through the door in the 1st place isn't it because it shows we have great numbers lol.
