Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is confident that Man Utd midfielder Andreas Pereira will join the club "in the next two or three days" 🤝.

08 Sep 2020 20:20:39
Charlton have completed the signing of Dylan Levitt on a season-long loan.

1.) 08 Sep 2020 22:53:45
Looks a good prospect. Good luck to him.

2.) 08 Sep 2020 22:58:23
Highly regarded. I hope he does well there. Not the most stable of clubs but i think bowyer will play him. They fought hard to get him can only wish him The best.

3.) 09 Sep 2020 09:09:01
Garner and Laird should be next who should be looking out for loans.

Any observation/ comment Ed?

The mega-wealthy Ortega family have made an offer to buy Manchester United, according to Radio El Fuego.
The Catalonian sports radio station tweeted the news yesterday evening, claiming that it came from 'a very reliable source'.

{Ed002's Note - Way back when I was young I recall seeing Louie Ortega with his amazing band Louis and The Lovers. They issued a really, really great album on Epic as I recall. I should dig it out and give it a spin.}

1.) 29 Aug 2020 22:15:32
Scooby I’m pretty sure it’s a parody account mate. Load of rubbish I reckon.

2.) 30 Aug 2020 08:12:43
Think the rumour originated from a United employee spotted chatting to a representative from the Ortego family at an airport somewhere.

Amancio Ortega's heart lies with Deportivo la Coruna, I don't believe he has ever invested in them so why would he bother with United.

3.) 30 Aug 2020 08:59:54
Grim I've no idea. It's a piece I read on another site and was simply asking for observations from the Ed's as I trust their knowledge.

4.) 30 Aug 2020 07:19:58
Thank you Caolin. WTF Ed002 is on about is a complete mystery to me 😂.

5.) 30 Aug 2020 12:25:23
Are you Grateful Dead fan Ed 002?

{Ed002's Note - Of course.}

6.) 30 Aug 2020 14:07:58
Excellent, just listening to Blues for Allah. Have a great weekend.

{Ed002's Note - And you. I nearly went to those Egypt shows.}

30 Jul 2020 17:18:22
Being reported that Raúl Jiménez of Wolves on way to United. Any observation Ed’s?

{Ed002's Note - He would be very expensive and who would he replace?}

Some interesting details reported on US sports news last night regarding Manchester United. They have player targets that they are seeking to secure, albeit some may only be able to join at the end of the season. The interesting bit is, that these targets have, allegedly, been looked at following recommendations, advice. given by Pochettino? Does this mean MUFC are selecting players that Poch wants with a view to him coming in the summer?

I have seen this elsewhere and don't post it as my own info but find it intriguing given that, again allegedly, Poch stands to forfiet £12.5m of his settlement from Spurs should he sign for a club this season.

To reiterate I post this 'info' from elsewhere simply to invite discussion/ observations and thoughts. I will also post as a new thread in case this gets lost to the next page already.

1.) 08 Jan 2020 15:05:47
Hope it's TRUE. Sick of Ole trying to run his team in the same mould as Fergie did. Those days have gone now I'm afraid, Players are more technical now . And the most upsetting thing for me with Ole is, He always looks to Fergie in the crowd as if to say how was that boss for a performance. He's the manager not fergie. get Poch in.

2.) 08 Jan 2020 21:01:28
First he surprised us
Then he disappointed us
Then he humiliate us
Now he is destroying us
All this because he scored one goal.

3.) 08 Jan 2020 23:35:18
Frenchman regardless of what you think of ole he is doing his best working under complete amateurs. I’m not saying he’s great or anything like that. But people need to open their eyes and realise nothing changes until there’s a major restructure and we start acting like a proper football club.
Ole like every other manager is the scapegoat for our failings off the pitch.

4.) 08 Jan 2020 23:59:47
caolan do you suffer with bipolar. you are defending him one moment and tearing him another one on a different post.

5.) 09 Jan 2020 00:31:48
Would love to believe that there has been a plan put in place to bring in a DOF in and Poch as manager at end of season no matter what happens with Ole and that he is informed of this and being respectfully treated etc etc however sadly the chances of that being the case are very very slim.

6.) 09 Jan 2020 03:32:18
Caolan, the season before Ole took over we finished second behind a record breaking City and finalists in the FA cup, won Europa and Carabao cups a season before that. In what dictionary is that called failing?

7.) 09 Jan 2020 05:00:27

1 goal? Do you remember his career for the club? The disrespect shown to him is disappointing, he’s struggling just like the 3 managers before him but his playing career was more than one goal in the Nou Camp, he was an unbelievable striker.

8.) 09 Jan 2020 06:50:28
The easiest thing is to show the door to Ole. Why? United doesn't have midfielders, attackers need good passes, defenders need protection to be calm when defending and when we play from defence. Ole signed 2 defenders and 1 attacker, they are not doing badly. Let him sign 3 midfielders and another striker, then we can judge him for f*ck sake.

9.) 09 Jan 2020 10:02:29
Seriously WTF is wrong with you whiney sods!

Ole made it clear - He is rebuilding from the bottom up and it is an ongoing project.

You lot talk about him as though he is doing a terrible job. Look at the players he has, at the players he has to do the job without due to injuries.

The squad has been neglected for years with stupid" need right now! " players who are brought in on the short term stupid wages and ultimately fell out with the manager we had at the time.

The club lost it's identity completely - on and off the pitch. Players had no connection to the club. Here just for the wage not for the love of the club and fans.

I get most players are mercenaries however i would take a mercenary who wants to be adored by the fans regardless of the club they play for over one who is there just to pick up a wage and appear to be making an effort.

So far Ole has brought back some identity on the pitch, the club feels in a better place despite not always getting the results we want.

The signings made under Ole have been good value and are well above average.

Some one above said we cannot play like we did under SAF as players are "More Technical". Sorry don't get it.

You can play as we did previously so long as you have the ability breakdown sides when they don't allow for a counter attacking play. Pretty sure we had that under SAF as we did not always play using counter attack as our only style of play.

If you mean to say it is more difficult to do so then of course however that doesn't mean we cannot have our own "more technical" players finding alternative routes to getting the goals we need.

Every club has gone through a period of rebuild. If we want success we must do it right not "Right now! "

The constant manager merry go round is a joke.

We committed to a rebuild - it's going ok for now and we are seeing progress on the pitch and behind the scenes.

As long as things continue in the right direction then sit back take the hits and enjoy the wins.

P. s Signings are key. We should have a good mix of young talent and experienced 27+ players to provide wisdom and stability.

Oh and Artur Vidal. HELL NO! Very bad influence. Not the kind of player we want at the club. agression on the pitch yeah but the guy is reckless.

Mario Gotze, Eriksen, Kroos etc yes

10.) 09 Jan 2020 10:15:51
An unbelievable striker who was never first choice gds2. How's YOUR memory?

11.) 09 Jan 2020 16:38:18
He scored 91 goals in 235 games for the club, practically a reserve 😂.

12.) 09 Jan 2020 18:18:35
Definitely a reserve. Good in the box- not so good outside. Surrounded by great players who created so many chances. Behind Yorke, Cole and Sherringham on ability. Good sub. Never "outstanding. "

13.) 09 Jan 2020 19:30:19

I’ll assume this is a joke.

14.) 10 Jan 2020 08:45:51
Assume what you like. Denis Law was outstanding. Van Nistelroy was outstanding. Oli was not. He was good. How would you rate Yorke and Cole.

{Ed047's Note - Theo Walcott, 120 odd goals in 290 odd appearances, an outstanding player! 🤦‍♂️😂

15.) 10 Jan 2020 09:18:28
Exactly Ed47.

anybody able to justify Lingard included in the UCL 'A' squad ahead of Greenwood who isn't? Given that Greenwood is a regular starter in the EPL and Lingard isn't. I am confused!

1.) 09 Oct 2020 10:39:21
Greenwoods age and homegrown status means he can be on the b list which allows the club to place him in the UCL squad 24 hours before a matchday.

Lingards age means he has to be in the A list if i understand correctly.

2.) 09 Oct 2020 10:40:33
Greenwood is in the squad. He doesn't have to be listed because he is home grown and under a certain age.

3.) 09 Oct 2020 10:41:01
Fairly sure that Greenwood doesn’t need to be named due to his age coming through the youth team.

4.) 09 Oct 2020 10:54:05
The club put out a tweet explaining the exclusion of Greenwood, Brandon Williams and Mengi. They are homegrown and U21 so don't need to be registered in the Assist. They can be included in the Valuation which can be updated until upto 24hrs before the kickoff on the matchdays.

5.) 09 Oct 2020 11:06:43
*A-list not assist
*B-list not valuation.

6.) 09 Oct 2020 12:09:54
Haha imagine thinking they picked lingard and not Greenwood. Same every year.

7.) 09 Oct 2020 14:27:48
Flip sake, Scooby. Do you not play Football Manager? 😁.

8.) 09 Oct 2020 15:08:25
Noucamp 😂😂😂 Actually no I don’t as it happens.

9.) 09 Oct 2020 20:52:42
It's where I get all my knowledge on squad registrations, mate 😁.

10.) 10 Oct 2020 14:22:07
I’m getting the impression it’s not required to. 😂
Thanks folks. All is now clear now. Fair to say I near parked a log when I first read the news. Phew.

05 Oct 2020 22:32:00
Telles apparently feels the “great honour” joining United and “cannot wait to pull on the famous shirt”. He appears unaware we’re only buying for our bench alongside DVDB. 😂.

1.) 06 Oct 2020 02:56:38
Or maybe they both are going to dislodge the ones already in the first team - both shaw and pogba haven't been at their best anyhow so wouldn't be a surprise. However, is Ole bold enough to make the decision to bench shaw and pogba is another question all together.

26 Sep 2020 11:41:52
Ole looking desperately like a man who believes our business is done and expects no more movement in the market. Looked very despondent.

1.) 26 Sep 2020 13:19:55
Ermm haha.

2.) 26 Sep 2020 13:21:48
Can you blame him?
You get top 4, you expect a bit of backing to push higher, yet in return you get nothing.

His optimism seems gone too.

3.) 26 Sep 2020 13:32:28
Resign before Christmas.

4.) 26 Sep 2020 13:51:43
Tomorrow ideally bfro.

5.) 26 Sep 2020 14:07:29
He won’t resign will he, too loyal.

It’s those above him who need to resign.

6.) 26 Sep 2020 14:37:08
His optimistic seems gone. Maybe he understands that he created a team who can't make 5 passes in a row.

7.) 26 Sep 2020 14:37:49
Yeah ken resign for the next manager to be on the same situation as the previous 3 managers.

You can keep banging on about the manager but if woodward who was sat in the stands watching this doesn't see we need players to imorive this team.

I agree ole needs to grow a pair and drop players that ain't performing, pogba, rashford other than his goal, martial was poor.

But we need signings we got out of jail today was very lucky been out played but palace and brighton and struggled against luton for large parts of the game.

8.) 26 Sep 2020 14:42:51
Woodward and ole deserve each other. Both are incompetent at their jobs hoping the other bails them out. Yes we need signings but that is not the reason why our first 11 can't play out of the back nor is it the reason why after nearly 2 years of being manager we still don't have a football system or identifiable style of play. Against big teams, its always park the bus and counter, against smaller ones its hope that front 3 and bruno create a bit of magic.

9.) 26 Sep 2020 15:08:59
A win or not, he should still be sacked after that shambles.

10.) 26 Sep 2020 15:31:29
Bolger you keep banging on about woodward and signings.
They are not on the pitch. They are not coaching what we have. They are not picking out of form players.
Is ole getting the best out of iur players? I don't think he is.
Do we look like a coherent team attacking?
Do we look like a coherent team defending?
We are submissive and defencive for the most part. Static etc. We finished with 1 attacker on the pitch in a match against Brighton. They hit the woodwork 5 times, dominated the chances. That's not the boards fault that's the coaches fault.

11.) 26 Sep 2020 18:42:18
Rohanarora i can blame him. Transfers or not in pappers we have the quality to dominate most teams. We have the quality to move the ball quicker and make 5 passes together. To not be dominated so much against Brighton and defend better. Its not about defenders only, its about defending as a team. We finished the match with one player upfront because our Norwayan Mourinho who pretends to be manager decided to bring more defensive players and invited more pressure. The same he did with Sheffield United in last years 3-3. He clearly is out of his depth and transfers is no excuse, let's say we had another players in that wouldn't be ready like Chelsea's transfers, what would be the excuse? Some overestimate transfers, its what players you have that counts most and not the 2 players that will come from transfers, but the other 20. Make them play like a team with confidence and then let the transfers come and fit in slowly and make a difference.
People think of transfers like every summer the quality goes to zero and there is no continually in the team. Its like only the players that come from transfers can play every time season starts.

02 Sep 2020 17:40:13
DVDB signed for 5 years 👏👏👏.

1.) 02 Sep 2020 18:17:59
Welcome to Manchester United Donny Van De Beek!

2.) 02 Sep 2020 18:32:47
I am excited about this signing.

3.) 02 Sep 2020 18:42:53
Very happy with this signing, wanted him at United for a few years. He was immense last year for Ajax so hopefully he brings that quality to us. Midfield looking a lot better now in terms of options👍.

4.) 02 Sep 2020 18:54:47
Over the moon, I think he will be a great signing.

5.) 02 Sep 2020 19:07:28
Nice touch from Donny in choosing No.34 for his shirt.

6.) 02 Sep 2020 19:24:24
Cracking player. Delighted. Let's hope he settles in quickly. Its a big step up and one we all hope he will take in his stride. He has great pedigree really good ability and what appears to be a great attitude. Plus he has to have one of the best names ever 🤣 A couple of our dutch vans turned into ferrari's i think Donny will too.

7.) 02 Sep 2020 19:50:08
Great signing is right. Very excited to see him play. Good on the club, really big improvement.

8.) 02 Sep 2020 19:59:22
Dembele of Lyon in next?

9.) 02 Sep 2020 22:57:49
I haven't watched that much of him, but I'll take your word for it guys. Hope he does well.

26 Jul 2020 20:16:40
Not going to bother reading through endless wittering but. whilst not celebrating winning an Arsenal trophy I have to say I’m immensely pleased that we are in a decent bargaining position re UCL and transfer negotiations. Still not convinced OGS is the way forward but given where we were and where we’re at it has to be regarded as improvement. I’ve loved and supported this club of ours since the late 50’s and I’m convinced the cycle will continue as before, we WILL be back. Have faith brothers and sisters. Love and peace to all. 😘.

1.) 26 Jul 2020 20:40:38
Winning an arsenal trophy?

We have just finished 3rd, which for this team is a fantastic achievement we was 14 points behind Leicester at 1 point

We could end up having a great season if we can win the europa.

2.) 26 Jul 2020 21:29:40
i seen a couple a weeks ago that psg want rashford for 100 million i'm sorry i would bite the hand off them for that and would bring back zaha he is a much more complete winger than rashford imo imagine having zaha on the left and sancho on the right teams could never live that sort of pace and power no hance.

3.) 26 Jul 2020 21:42:56
Scott, you're surely not serious?

4.) 26 Jul 2020 22:03:30
Scott u been on the sauce 😁😁.

5.) 26 Jul 2020 23:57:23

Haha good one.

6.) 27 Jul 2020 04:03:53
Please shoot me now.

{Ed0666's Note - we could get Lingaard to shoot you Dcodgy but he would probably miss.

7.) 27 Jul 2020 07:04:14
Seriously Scott?
He is our joint top scorer even after being sidelined by injuries for more than 2 months.

He is a top professional and a great human being, fighting for social causes. These are the type of characters you need in the dressing room and for the young players to look upto.

Whatever Manchester United’s transfer strategy was this summer, it didn’t involve signing a 33-year-old free agent at the last minute.

I don’t see Dembele coming to us but, didn’t Giggs suffer a succession of hamstring injuries during a fraught period of his career? I seem to recall he did and addressed his issue with expert advice, different training and stretching routine plus adopting yoga as a regular practice.

WRD I don’t get the impression he’s saying that. I get what he’s saying. My take is we’re Manc Scousers. We’re going through their ‘process’. I just hope beyond hope we aren’t the Manc Scousers for as long as the real scousers were before they came back.
