AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu is 'very, very likely' to join Manchester United next summer. That is according to Bild's Christian Falk, who claims the Red Devils are already in advanced talks with his agent over a potential deal.

Just read the above. Also being reported in SempreMilan. Any observations by Eds?

Haven’t heard anything about him but at 26 he surely doesn’t fit the profile of player OGS would be interested in.

1.) 26 Nov 2020 17:04:08
[Ed002]: Hakan Calhanoglu (AM/ LW) Player wants a new contract - Milan could oblige - it may depend on what happens with loanee Bahim Diaz. Atletico and Juventus have asked his German-based agent if a move is possible for them. The agent remains keen on the idea to try the player out in England or Germany.}

2.) 26 Nov 2020 17:39:10
Thanks Ed002. Appreciated. What will be will be but he doesn’t appear to play positions we’re deficient in. Agent creating a market?

{Ed002's Note - The agent has been talking with Atletico and Juventus who both have a need an he is a cheap solution. He will likely agree a new deal with Milan which is what he wants - and he gets a good deal with taxes in Italy. As I have said the driver will be talks with Real Madrid over several matters and that includes BD. The agent is doing nothing wrong.}

3.) 26 Nov 2020 18:01:06
Thanks again Ed002. Your insight is always enlightening and welcome. I didn’t intend to give the impression I thought the agent was doing anything wrong. That’s his job after all.

4.) 27 Nov 2020 11:44:54
@scoobydog because he’s so old at 26?!
Are you Meryn Trant?

5.) 27 Nov 2020 13:04:23
Prodigal please explain yourself re Meryn Trant.
OGS seems to be shaping a younger profile team hence the post was supposed to be more of a question than a statement.

Reading interesting snippets re Marc Overmars and Edwin van der Sar are becoming of interest to United after they have hinted as to their time in Holland possibly coming to an end. Okay it is in the Mail but being picked up by other outlets as well. Any comments or observations from Ed's? I would love for it to be true.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "are becoming of interest to United" means. It is no secret that the pair may look for an interesting option next summer of the one after but I don't see how Manchester United would come in to this.}

1.) 15 Nov 2020 19:49:27
Nor me Ed002. I was quoting and hoped you might be able to throw light upon it.

Being reported that Alex Telles tested positive for C.V. again yesterday Saturday 14th) .

10 Nov 2020 10:18:29
Hearing more rumbles re Greenwoods attitude. Latest is a suggested bust up with Bruno re his lackadaisical attitude during training, arriving late for training etc. I do hope we don’t have another Ravel prepared to squander his talent.

1.) 10 Nov 2020 12:16:01
Isn’t it a coincidence that another young English forward for us gets it in and the press? And every time there’s an apparent story it’s Bruno who’s involved in a “bust up” or argument.

I’m not saying there’s not anything in the stories, but they are more than likely exaggerated. If mason wasn’t performing in training he shouldn’t be picked.

2.) 10 Nov 2020 12:17:54
This would be a bigger waste of talent imo. It’s difficult to comprehend a young player with the world at his feet can have such a rubbishty attitude. I think all of us would give our left testicle to be in his position.

3.) 10 Nov 2020 12:41:39
It was the Daily Mail, lads. Come on, now 😁.

4.) 10 Nov 2020 13:00:19
Not only Nouvamp.

5.) 10 Nov 2020 13:27:05
Fair enough, Scoobs.

6.) 11 Nov 2020 01:04:51
colan if the lads acting like a knobhead why should he not be called out. if he did it for england what is the difference doing it at united.

{Ed0666's Note - Arguably it’s a worse offense doing it for you’re country.

7.) 11 Nov 2020 10:20:20
Daily Mail? Seriously fellas? They have an agenda against a young, successful man of colour? Who knew?

8.) 11 Nov 2020 10:57:29
It wasn’t only the Mail. Man of colour? You will be expected to resign now.

9.) 11 Nov 2020 12:22:46
World has gone mad scooby. Media all over it like a rash.

10.) 11 Nov 2020 13:08:14
Indeed SAF.

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is confident that Man Utd midfielder Andreas Pereira will join the club "in the next two or three days" 🤝.

Well Poch won’t be replacing Ole. He’s been appointed at PSG.

1.) 02 Jan 2021 16:11:31
Great job for him - will soon get one that won nothing label now.

2.) 02 Jan 2021 16:29:46
always thought David Moyes should have gone to Celtic after the United job. word was he wanted time off away from the game. He could have got silverware same as Rodgers maybe would have boosted his career a bit.

3.) 02 Jan 2021 19:51:57
Exactly bfb - get that monkey off your back so to speak and come back. Poch will be judged by PSG on his performances in the Champions League though not domestic league and cups.

{Ed033's Note - Happy New Year.

I wanted to respond to Shappy’s post but it’s so long I can’t find the part I need to refer to 😂😂😂.

1.) 14 Dec 2020 09:45:06
I don't know what your talking about I'm always very succinct 🤣.

2.) 14 Dec 2020 11:14:11
lol guys :)

3.) 14 Dec 2020 14:37:36

4.) 14 Dec 2020 20:06:19
Love it Shappy. Keep it up and don’t change 👊🏽.

Watching Rashford interview on Sky Ports News. What a man. His loyalty to United is highly commendable. Top bloke.

1.) 10 Dec 2020 19:23:55
Just watched it Scooby. What a man he is. I’d love to see him go on a scoring streak and move up a level, he deserves it.

07 Dec 2020 14:31:49
Cavani and Martial unavailable v RBL. Not too bothered re Martial but Cavani will be missed.

1.) 07 Dec 2020 15:17:14
Same here, it's really frustrating that a player (Martial) with such Caliber goes through such a dip in form every now and then.

2.) 07 Dec 2020 15:53:15
As long as they (Cavani especially) is available for the derby, we should still have enough firepower against RBL.

3.) 07 Dec 2020 16:35:05
If we start Greenwood and Rashy and if we need goals from the bench, we have only Ighalo to bring on.
It's a blow loosing 2 strikers together.

However, the belief from Ole and Maguire was quite strong from the press conference.

4.) 07 Dec 2020 17:19:18
Shaw is back so I'd expect the same formation we played at PSG with Lindelof, Maguire and Shaw in the 3 and Telles and AWB at wing back where i think he looks better.

We can then play with Greenwood and Rashford up top with Bruno behind and then any 2 of the midfielders (Matic, Mct, Pogba, VDB) .

5.) 07 Dec 2020 18:04:37
Wouldn't be bothered about martial. Loads of talent no work rate.

6.) 07 Dec 2020 18:07:06
Telles looks better at wing back not AWB, obviously AWB isn’t better there.

7.) 07 Dec 2020 18:36:37
Hopefully we take a forward player from the u23 team for the game tomorrow, would probably be a better option coming off the bench than ighalo.

8.) 07 Dec 2020 18:58:35
Agree GDS, with nine defenders in the travelling squad looks certain we will play 5 at the back. Bruno and Matic will probably leave a choice between Pogba, DvB and Mata for the other midfield starting place, with Mason and Marcus up front.

CR7 is the type of player a team is built around. He’s too old for that to be viable.
I say that boat has long since sailed, be proud of what he and the club did for each other and move on.
The End.

For sure AJH but we are good as often as we are poor. Liverpool WILL get better. Can we? At this moment in time and without additions I’m not convinced we can.

Salford7:
First off if all the footballers stayed in proper bubbles and their families and the other staff at the football clubs also acted sensibly and with real care then the incidence of positive C. V. tests would be a lot less for the players.
Unfortunately many footballers are quite clearly not taking this seriously enough. " The very same applies to society generally though.

To DSG. I just know that if this C.V. only, or more largely, affected the young the older folk would be working their nuts off to ensure safety. The old aren't a 'burden'. Awful thing to suggest. The 'burden' continues because people generally are not helping. Voluntary compliance isn't working for a few that are infecting the many.
