AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu is 'very, very likely' to join Manchester United next summer. That is according to Bild's Christian Falk, who claims the Red Devils are already in advanced talks with his agent over a potential deal.

Just read the above. Also being reported in SempreMilan. Any observations by Eds?

Haven’t heard anything about him but at 26 he surely doesn’t fit the profile of player OGS would be interested in.

1.) 26 Nov 2020 17:04:08
[Ed002]: Hakan Calhanoglu (AM/ LW) Player wants a new contract - Milan could oblige - it may depend on what happens with loanee Bahim Diaz. Atletico and Juventus have asked his German-based agent if a move is possible for them. The agent remains keen on the idea to try the player out in England or Germany.}

2.) 26 Nov 2020 17:39:10
Thanks Ed002. Appreciated. What will be will be but he doesn’t appear to play positions we’re deficient in. Agent creating a market?

{Ed002's Note - The agent has been talking with Atletico and Juventus who both have a need an he is a cheap solution. He will likely agree a new deal with Milan which is what he wants - and he gets a good deal with taxes in Italy. As I have said the driver will be talks with Real Madrid over several matters and that includes BD. The agent is doing nothing wrong.}

3.) 26 Nov 2020 18:01:06
Thanks again Ed002. Your insight is always enlightening and welcome. I didn’t intend to give the impression I thought the agent was doing anything wrong. That’s his job after all.

4.) 27 Nov 2020 11:44:54
@scoobydog because he’s so old at 26?!
Are you Meryn Trant?

5.) 27 Nov 2020 13:04:23
Prodigal please explain yourself re Meryn Trant.
OGS seems to be shaping a younger profile team hence the post was supposed to be more of a question than a statement.

Reading interesting snippets re Marc Overmars and Edwin van der Sar are becoming of interest to United after they have hinted as to their time in Holland possibly coming to an end. Okay it is in the Mail but being picked up by other outlets as well. Any comments or observations from Ed's? I would love for it to be true.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "are becoming of interest to United" means. It is no secret that the pair may look for an interesting option next summer of the one after but I don't see how Manchester United would come in to this.}

1.) 15 Nov 2020 19:49:27
Nor me Ed002. I was quoting and hoped you might be able to throw light upon it.

15 Nov 2020 08:46:30
Being reported that Alex Telles tested positive for C.V. again yesterday Saturday 14th) .

10 Nov 2020 10:18:29
Hearing more rumbles re Greenwoods attitude. Latest is a suggested bust up with Bruno re his lackadaisical attitude during training, arriving late for training etc. I do hope we don’t have another Ravel prepared to squander his talent.

1.) 10 Nov 2020 12:16:01
Isn’t it a coincidence that another young English forward for us gets it in and the press? And every time there’s an apparent story it’s Bruno who’s involved in a “bust up” or argument.

I’m not saying there’s not anything in the stories, but they are more than likely exaggerated. If mason wasn’t performing in training he shouldn’t be picked.

2.) 10 Nov 2020 12:17:54
This would be a bigger waste of talent imo. It’s difficult to comprehend a young player with the world at his feet can have such a rubbishty attitude. I think all of us would give our left testicle to be in his position.

3.) 10 Nov 2020 12:41:39
It was the Daily Mail, lads. Come on, now 😁.

4.) 10 Nov 2020 13:00:19
Not only Nouvamp.

5.) 10 Nov 2020 13:27:05
Fair enough, Scoobs.

6.) 11 Nov 2020 01:04:51
colan if the lads acting like a knobhead why should he not be called out. if he did it for england what is the difference doing it at united.

{Ed0666's Note - Arguably it’s a worse offense doing it for you’re country.

7.) 11 Nov 2020 10:20:20
Daily Mail? Seriously fellas? They have an agenda against a young, successful man of colour? Who knew?

8.) 11 Nov 2020 10:57:29
It wasn’t only the Mail. Man of colour? You will be expected to resign now.

9.) 11 Nov 2020 12:22:46
World has gone mad scooby. Media all over it like a rash.

10.) 11 Nov 2020 13:08:14
Indeed SAF.

29 Sep 2020 10:17:35
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is confident that Man Utd midfielder Andreas Pereira will join the club "in the next two or three days" 🤝.

One of the fans who broke into old Trafford yesterday was found to be a Tottenham fan who was arrested while trying to steal a trophy 🤣🤣.

1.) 03 May 2021 08:09:41
Those fans had more minutes on the pitch than Donny Van de Beek 🤣🤣.

29 Apr 2021 17:53:03
Who wouldn’t want to give Liverpool a right royal humiliating 6+ goals to nil slapping on Sunday?
Part 2: Would anybody sacrifice tonights game or even the tie in order to see us confirmed into ECL next season and help stop them possibly achieving q.

1.) 29 Apr 2021 18:32:55
1. i'd love the batter them
2. No i'd prefer to win the cup.

2.) 29 Apr 2021 18:42:11
I was thinking this today. I would happily loose to Liverpool if it meant spanking roma. We have to win the EL it's the only chance of silverware and we should qualify for the champions league easily now.

3.) 29 Apr 2021 18:47:29
Would love to batter them buts its a dead rubber for us in all honesty.

Want and need a cup win.

4.) 29 Apr 2021 19:22:19
I'd agree Simon and UR.

09 Apr 2021 11:41:10
Anybody considered the possibility of a swap deal involving Lingard and Rice?

1.) 09 Apr 2021 12:43:24
I'd love that to be fair. I think Rice would be an excellent signing for us, and if we can grease the wheels of that deal by involving Lingard then great. Two birds one stone.

2.) 09 Apr 2021 12:53:10
I would think West Ham are looking at around £70 million for Rice, maybe we could pay £30 million and include Jones in the deal?

3.) 09 Apr 2021 13:03:31
Or we could pay £75m plus Jones as Jones brings the transfer value down.

4.) 09 Apr 2021 13:03:40
£15 million and Rice should be enough for West Ham to get Lingard.

5.) 09 Apr 2021 13:10:55
I suspect because it's Man Utd, Rice will cost three times the value of Lingard. Of course his age increases his value but I haven't seen a great deal other than the fact he's English to suggest he's worth towards £100m. If he was Swiss would he cost that much? Not even half.

6.) 09 Apr 2021 13:15:50
That's the dream swap deal Scooby.
Rice is streets better than Fred.

7.) 09 Apr 2021 15:11:10
Maybe Rice doesn't want to go to United, maybe he want's to stay in London.

8.) 09 Apr 2021 15:34:15
Sim, Chelsea is Rice's dream move, and if Chelsea compete for his signature we will lose out.

That said many players don't end up playing for their dream club, some even end up playing for the rivals of their childhood club. Carragher, Fowler and Gerrard were childhood Everton fans, Alan Smith joined us from Leeds even though he was a die hard Leeds fan.

If Rice is given the choice of Manchester United or West Ham I would expect he'd join United.

If he has no interest in joining United then I would expect the club would have found that out via players like Rashford and Maguire who'd have chatted with him on England duty, or through Jesse who'll obviously be in regular contact with him.

Clubs put the feelers out all the time, they may even be bold enough to ask his agent whether he would be interested in a move long before they started putting the wheels in motion to try and sort a deal.

{Ed002's Note - It was Lampard interested in taking Rice back to Chelsea.}

9.) 09 Apr 2021 16:32:29
I'm pretty sure Chelsea don't want him and don't like the optics of spending £50M+ on someone they let go.

Also didn't they get seriously iterated by Lampard asking them to sign him?

{Ed002's Note - Iterated? No. No. No ......}

10.) 09 Apr 2021 16:46:09
Rice has surprised me I have to say. I really thought he would develop into a really top class cb. In the mould of stam. But he has taken on the no6 role and improved himself on the ball and in his positional discipline and he does a really good job for West ham.
If we can get him then he would improve our 11 straight away.
As for Jesse he is playing great. Its like he had has the weight of the world lifted off his shoulders. He reminds me of some of the United players when Jose left. He is playing with confidence and freedom. I hope he gets his move and enjoys the next few years of his career.

11.) 09 Apr 2021 20:58:43
60 Mill and lingard for rice would be a decent deal for us. Lingard is surplus to requirements or he wouldn't be loaned. I was unsure about rice but he is a leader and does a decent job at cdm. I would like ndidi over him tho, I think with him and a fluid forward we could challenge for some silverware.

12.) 09 Apr 2021 21:18:47
Sell pogba Fred matic, promote garner and hannibale buy rice midfield options of dvb rice garner Scott with hannibal to cover this position and Brunos any chance Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United gave Matic a nice new contract, Pogba could look to run down the last year of his contract, there has been no attempt to sell Fred, van der Beek will have options elsewhere after his career has been stalled by the amateurs.}

13.) 10 Apr 2021 12:33:46
Cheers Ed as I expected it makes far too much sense for man utd at the moment.

29 Mar 2021 21:00:47
You know them gert big tug boats that turned the boat blocking the Suez Canal? Reckon they might help in sorting Maguires’ agility?
Honest question 🤣.

1.) 29 Mar 2021 21:57:13
That made me laugh scooby🤣.

2.) 29 Mar 2021 22:04:16

3.) 30 Mar 2021 21:43:28
No point making any more jokes about the Ever Given.

That ship has sailed.

06 Mar 2021 08:16:44
Just heard that the bloke in charge of the fake crowd noise at Anfield when Liverpool score, has been furloughed, 😂🤣.

{Ed077's Note - how many goals have Man Utd scored at OT and how many times has the team drawn a blank?😂

1.) 06 Mar 2021 08:46:33
Ed077 stop allowing facts to affect your judgement and get in the way of a good story 😂🤣.

{Ed077's Note - actually I was just concerned about the guy who performs the same role at Man Utd

2.) 06 Mar 2021 09:03:34
OP was quite funny. The one in charge of fake crowd noise at OT keeps playing Ole songs when we are boring everyone to death.

3.) 06 Mar 2021 09:11:31

4.) 06 Mar 2021 09:13:03
Got to love a bit of banter.

I do have some sympathy for Liverpool fans however, 30 years of not winning the league, then the season they do, they have to play with no fans in the stadium, that must have affected the players.

5.) 06 Mar 2021 09:42:52
My heart bleeds Grim 😂.

6.) 06 Mar 2021 09:12:25
LLLLLLiverpool 🤣.

{Ed077's Note - Good one Scooby

Manchester UnitedDDDD😂

7.) 06 Mar 2021 10:48:31
Manchester UnitedZZZZZZZZZ.

8.) 06 Mar 2021 12:15:36
Such a shame for Liverpool, wait 30 years to win the league and when they finally present the trophy to the fans at Anfield, the real one will be with City. 🤣🤣🤣.

9.) 06 Mar 2021 13:36:31
Great joke the first one, we are bad but we aren’t as bad as the greatest team ever in the history of the world.

10.) 06 Mar 2021 14:00:42
The fake crowd noise is the best atmosphere I've ever heard at the Emirates 😂.

{Ed077's Note - come on mate, they are already suffering so much. No need to add salt to the wound. Fighting for their lives to finish in the top half Arse-anal so take it easy on them🤣🤣🤣

Why is it of interest that he plans to stay on social media for another year?

{Ed001's Note - people were worried he was joining the boycott?}

Because the player would worry over losing a few bob failing to give notice. Poor dear must be skint.

In that case Ed, have the club yet accepted this and are they actively seeking a teplacement.

{Ed002's Note - They already have van de Beek and may not look for a direct replacement but look to strengthen elsewhere.}
