Reluctantly I would sell Bruno if the Saudis are really offering 100 million . he will be 31 before the end of the season . just pulling names out of the media links but add 12 mill to that and we can get cunha delap cherki . not saying they are my choices but just an example . given our finances it's got to be a serious consideration. it's a now or never deal we should accept.

Problem with that kind of plan is the players will unlikely want to joint United. The team is really poor and struggling and has no European football.

But then we see what clout the manager has . also the people around him can he convince players to buy into his vision and look to the next 24 months not just the next 12 months.

The team being poor and wanting to buy you (and others) to make them better means you're going to play lots of games, so if you buy into the vision and idea (and want to move) then why wouldn't you?

I can see both sides. On one hand Bruno is soon to be 31, has played a lot of football, might not be ideally suited to Amorim's team, and isn't a long term solution.
On the other he is our only top class player and he has carried the team. Letting him leave is a gamble as if others don't step up (either currently at the club or new signings) then we will be weaker next season.
I'm slightly falling on the sell him side, the money available goes a massive way to rebuilding this team. While part of me says we need to be brave and cut the ties from this failed team to be able to truly move forward.
Bruno is the type of player you build around, someone who needs to be given freedom to get the best from them. Is that something that we can afford to do if we are rebuilding, I don't think so.

listening to stefan borson on radio talking about chelsea and Villa having to get creative to avoid psr issues. with our lack of funds can't SJR / INEOS step forward with a 2 year deal at 40-50 mill a year to sponsor the training kit . even if he takes it out again through the back door in the near future?

not very at ease with this positivity . the brentford lad 2nd bid going in, reports he only wants us. Gyorekes also keen . i was more relaxed a few months ago when it was all doom and gloom.

8th would be my prediction today - no european football means Amorim -who I like- and his coaches have nowhere to hide as that means at least 4 solid days a week on the training ground - he came with a reputation of being a top coach so let's start with a clean slate but if a player can't or won't buy in to what he wants in terms of effort or skill then bomb them out and give a kid a chance - soon as the season starts he will already be in the bookies top 5 to be sacked so he hs to get it right very quickly in tems of on field progress.

Licha had a handful of good games after a bad injury, now he's coming back from another bad injury - i think a lot of fans might be disappointed in him this season- can see him gone 12 months from now. The PL is very unforgiving.
