It seems I sent unfinished post and pressed too early.

Looking at Ole's last few press conferences talking abt "Set up" legs etc that only hints Ronaldo was forced on him by Sir Alex and Ole's mates stoping him going to City without having any plans for him which has massively effected the set-up/ progress from last season tho

This is the 1st time I'm watching ole talking Abt the Set up legs etc in 3 yrs.

A Scouser shooting his bolt too quickly? Never ?.

2.) 18 Oct 2021 18:03:10
Then drop Ronaldo if that's what his issue is. But you better make sure you win. It's that simple.

3.) 18 Oct 2021 18:52:45
I don't think anybody wants ronaldo to play every game but if you can't find a way for him to score then you are a dunce of a manager.

4.) 18 Oct 2021 18:57:55
Have to laugh how Ronaldo is being made the scapegoat by some of ole’s mates in the media… it’s not like we were a high energy, cohesive unit before he showed up is it.

5.) 18 Oct 2021 19:09:46
Anything to take the blame away from the buffoon. Play Ronaldo with Klopp and he would break goal scoring records.

6.) 18 Oct 2021 19:11:40
Ronaldo wasn't bought for football reasons, it was to boost the share price ahead of the sale of some shares.

IMO it is a terrible signing and Utd should have let him go to City. Can you imagine Guadiola letting him stroll around without pressing or defending from the front? Not a chance and that would have been explosive!

Solksjaer isn't man enough to make demands of him or drop him if he doesn't do what he's told. Screw lazy, entitled Ronaldo, Cavani should be playing centre forward.

7.) 18 Oct 2021 19:21:32
Ronaldo is the greatest goal scorer of all time.
Still the clueless one cannot manage to utilize him.

The service to Ronaldo is non-existent and he has had to feed on scraps for the last 5 matches.
No crosses, no through balls, nothing.

8.) 18 Oct 2021 19:53:15
By the way manc man I was one of those happy enough to allow him to sign for City.
However he is here now. Let's get one thing straight ronaldo is not a lazy player. He is a goal machine and needs to be utilised and played according to his strengths. I also belive that he needs to play as part of a team.
I also think cavani should play and start as often as possible.
Why not start them both?
It was an opportunistic signing if ole drops ronaldo and the team wins nobody on here will question that.
The bottom line is we were crap before he came we are still crap that's not ronaldos fault. The coaching is non existent so you can keep adding players but if there is no system no plan no style of play then it will only work sporadically it doesn't matter who plays.
I think ole is going to suffer a slow, very painful, embarrassing and humiliating demise. The more pressure he comes under the worse it will be for him.
We need a win so much on Wednesday to give ourselves a shot at winning our group. It could be a catalyst for change and to go into the Liverpool game with some confidence but if we don't win it will make the Liverpool game that much harder.

9.) 18 Oct 2021 19:55:09
It amazes me how they are trying to make out its all Ronaldo's fault.
Did we press high with intensity since the clueless one became manager? No
So how come it's all Ronaldo's fault all of a sudden? The press are driving this as they want him to fail, and unfortunately, neville and posters on here are believing what the idiots at the press are saying.
Also, Neville is as clueless as Solskjaer. When discussing on MNF tonight, he spoke complete rubbish about Solskjaer, he said he won't criticise him as he's an ex team mate, a friend and he likes him as a person. What the F has any of that got to do with Solskjaer's ability as manager?
Carragher said that Solskjaer is not in the same league as Pep, klopp or Tuchel, and that is the problem we face. Neville also said that Solskjaer has a lot of egos that have to be controlled, agreed, but why isn't he controlling them?

10.) 18 Oct 2021 19:57:10
MancMan, don't think any top manager would be signing Ronaldo with the idea of him pressing from the front like a Tevez/ Cavani.

Ronaldo is not about that. Any top manager would get him for 2 reasons alone:

1. Obviously to score goals
2. The commercial opportunities and revenue his presence will bring in.

We can all blame Ronaldo as much as we like but it's not going to change anything as our manager is incompetent at his job and doesn't know how to utilize or manage his top players properly.

I do worry for both Cavani and Greenwood though. Once Sancho picks up any sort of form it could be Greenwood who loses his place next.

11.) 18 Oct 2021 20:14:51
Who’s controlling ole’s ego?!

12.) 18 Oct 2021 20:25:27
Tim_99, the one the only Sir Fred ?.

13.) 19 Oct 2021 03:50:31
Its good that Ronaldo is being criticized. The angrier he gets, more he gets annoyed with Ole and quicker Ole gets the boot.

14.) 19 Oct 2021 05:44:14
United Addict, really? You want seeds of disharmony and discontent to be sown at our club, in fighting and division within our team just to get a manager you dislike sacked.

And you wonder why United fans get labelled as "Toxic" ?‍♂️.

15.) 19 Oct 2021 06:48:55
If Cavani can work as hard as he can then why can't Ronaldo or any other player? This idea that it's not his game is nonsense.

That said, i'd like to see Ronaldo's stats for distance covered.

16.) 19 Oct 2021 07:05:10
Were these your words when you were having a go at Jose against Pogba, Shappy? You do change your colors quicker than a chamaleon.

17.) 19 Oct 2021 07:20:15
I do shappy i'd love it if the players called him out for the idiot he is. Anything that hastens his departure is a good thing in the long run.

18.) 19 Oct 2021 10:48:10
United Addict, I never backed Pogba over Jose. I said that clearly the relationship had broken down. I said I was disappointed with Pogba celebrating Jose's sacking even if I could understand his sentiment.

I don't want there to be anything but a completely united Manchester United club. I want everyone pulling in the same direction. As its impossible to be successful unless they are.

I was never a fan of Jose joining United, I thought he was a great coach but he didn't suit our club. Negative football and zero trust in youth. I said when he signed he wouldn't see out three seasons and we would be back to square one looking to rebuild when he leaves.

However, once he signed I backed him. He was the manager, and I want our club to be successful. I continued to back him right up until 5-6 games into his third season when everything was unraveling and it was obvious that it was the start of a downward spiral. I even said that Jose deserved to start the third season due to his second place finish the season before.

I disagreed when Jose washed the club's laundry in public. Just like I disagreed with Ole's comments about Rashford. That sort of thing should stay in house and with modern footballers fragile ego's only causes you problems as a manager.

They are a 100m asset, you are a guy they can sack for less than 10m. If you make the board pick between the expensively assembled squad and yourself you can be sure you'll be out on your ear pretty quickly. It doesn't pay to go to war publicly with your players ever. And any manager who does so is a fool in my eyes. It's the beginning of the end of your reign when you do so.

19.) 19 Oct 2021 11:00:03
Ken, good thing in the long run assuming that they make a sensible appointment next. If they pick the wrong man next then we could start to slide even further behind.

Lest be plain, the club's track record of hiring managers is pretty poor, other than dumb luck what makes you confident that they will make a good appointment next time?

From outside it looks like Ronaldo was forced on Ole by Sir Alex and he's msted.

Ole has a lot of backing, he's pals in media and half of United fans like Shappy AJH etc are in streets of United backing him blindly because of he's connection as United Player.

As an LFC fan I just hope he continues as your manager 😀😀.
