Bolger3 has written an article entitled, Manchester United Still In A Cycle Of Poor Decision Making
1.) 12 Jan 2026 11:24:22
Excellent post, Bolger.
12 Jan 2026 08:04:34
So apprently according to indykaila on twitter (who is quite accurate if anyone has been following him)
There is currently a power struggle, Wilcox wants Carrick but other senior figures want ole.
Deja vu again. club can’t come to an agreement and the people paid to make decisions can’t make those decisions without issues
Club has gone backwards under Ineos.
1.) 12 Jan 2026 08:38:05
Wilcox Just went up in my estimation after reading that.
2.) 12 Jan 2026 08:45:27
Feels like too many cooks which was always going to be the case under the ridiculous structure the club have in place.
Until Ineos and the Glazers are gone, nothing will change.
Before we know it they’ll appoint a joint interim head coach in Carrick and OGS, assisted by RVN, and anybody else who once played for the club.
The club is a joke. The majority of players unlikeable, the leadership structure everybody hates, and smacks of a toxic and grim culture. Good riddance to the lot of them.
3.) 12 Jan 2026 08:51:45
They seem to be quiet reliable and if so its worrying that anyone on the board wants ole.
Carrick is the only option he might not have done the best at Middlesbrough but at least we're not going back he should have been in charge for yesterday to be quiet honest.
4.) 12 Jan 2026 09:00:19
If people want Ole they are utterly clueless
This is a divided falling failing club that desperately needs total new ownership. The Rat and Glazers have to go for the good of the club. This club is not unified and will continue to fall until this toxic ownership and lack of basic football intelligence is sorted out
Rats other club in France is really doing well!
God help us if they put Ole in.
5.) 12 Jan 2026 09:08:58
Both are inadequate and underwhelming. We are and have been for a long long time a effing shambles.
6.) 12 Jan 2026 09:46:16
Red man, despite suites and rhetoric, neither the glazers or INEOS care about the club or the fans, they only care about what they can get out of it. Whether that be finances, sponsorships, brand recognition.
Every decision made over the last 20 years has been to benefit them and. Them alone. Unless someone offers 6bn then neither are going anywhere. Honestly with their greed I doubt they’d even accept that.
7.) 12 Jan 2026 09:47:56
The fact the club are still infighting about an interim shows how knee jerk Amorim's firing was. What a mess.
This season looks a write off, unfortunately.
The worry for me is, the sporting team (Wilcox, Vivell) don't stick to whatever strategy they set out when they appointed Amorim and start a completely new project in the summer. Also, how on earth do you sell a project to a player when you haven't got your manager in place? The summer recruitment should be well underway, one can only assume Amorim's firing will impact the deals being worked on.
8.) 12 Jan 2026 10:43:11
To be fair, Vivell seems the one sensible person in the asylum.
9.) 12 Jan 2026 13:14:58
I don't know what his role is tbh brd so its hard to judge.
10.) 12 Jan 2026 18:33:05
Why is Carrick so much better of a choice than Ole? Anybody like to enlighten me?
14 Sep 2025 23:34:55
Do people have dementia in here or am I missing something?
Our central midfielders have been casimiro Bruno Ugarte mainoo (along with the likes of Erickson who has gone, collyher)
We have played 3 in midfield and still be dominated and overan
Amorims system isn’t the issue on why players can play a simple pass or fail to be in the right position or follow there men
Bruno as Bruno does just let's foden walk past him, shaw for both goals was poor along with Ugarte
The only think we should be blaming Amorim on is why he is continuing to play shaw as a cb but then again he should have been sold 5 years ago so that is on the glazers
Ugarte, casimiro Bruno and mainoo are simply not good enough centre midfielders and no formation or system will change that
We are a mid table team I don’t know why we have such a panic when we get beat by a far better team than us, what did people expect going into the game
We are where we are, expectations needs to be lowered massively
We are around 8th-14th that mid table fodder section at best so I don’t know why people expect more from the squad we have
We are turd. and some players should be questioned on there decision making and what goes through there brains when they make certain passes or passes they should make instead.
On the up side it’s only 1 game a week so we only get the dross served up once a week.
1.) 15 Sep 2025 01:27:55
Agreed Bolger. Said as much from the start of season. Our aim is top 8.
We have played 4 games, and should have more points from those games.
All is not lost. keep the faith.
2.) 15 Sep 2025 04:56:28
Maybe because we just spent another 200 million plus and not on the positions required urgently don’t give me that we needed scorers we still can’t score and we have many number 10s already
It’s always been build up too slow and not good enough and a slow defence spine, what we do buy 2 number 10s a striker who is same potential as Rasmus and a Potential GK that's stupidity whatever way you look at it.
3.) 15 Sep 2025 05:35:39
Nuno moved forest up from 17th to top 6 last season in one season!
Iraola lost best players this summer new players fitted in
We spend 200 million on striker force still can’t score
Everyone knows we needed a midfield and GK capable of starting and dominating we got neither
This is a strange way of building a team of any discription let alone building United team
RA looks like a lost little boy, he so far out his depth, too stubborn too lack of experience
Time to go was last week. move on it ain’t worked.
4.) 15 Sep 2025 06:21:23
Great post. Only criticism I’d level is goalkeeping selection. If not Lemmens then Heston. Bayindir is sh*te.
5.) 15 Sep 2025 08:35:36
Were we expecting to beat Arsenal and city when the fixtures came out?
Even Chelsea and Liverpool coming up in the next few games these are the games we would be happy with a point.
It’s looks really terrible and we will probably lose 2 out of are next 3 games in Chelsea and Liverpool and tbh I wouldn’t be suprised if we failed to beat Brentford
4 games in 4 points it does look shocking something does have to change but I can’t see how playing 4-3-3 changes this
We are just an average mid table team.
6.) 15 Sep 2025 08:37:50
Byandir can’t be blamed for yesterday’s goals though.
7.) 15 Sep 2025 09:32:06
He almost gifted haaland a goal with his poor touch.
8.) 15 Sep 2025 13:19:57
Byandir should of been out sooner for the second Haaland goal, he came and stopped and then came again and didn't fully commit.
9.) 15 Sep 2025 17:18:33
Imo a top keeper saves at least one of the goals yesterday. That's what top keepers do. They make saves they are not favourite to make just like the city keeper yesterday. If mbeamo shat had gone in he wouldn't have been blamed but he still saved it.
So while he was not necessarily at fault a top keeper saves at least 1 imo.
20 Jun 2025 16:09:00
How many weeks has it been since we had our 1st bid rejected for mbeumbo?
Not to start a rant but we have just had our worst finish to a prem season ever, would think the club would be moving a lot quicker to get players through the door we need, espically after more than once we’ve stated “we have a plan”
I think even with mbembo we still need a number 9, a cb and another cm. not to mention a keeper (although cannot see that unless Onana is sold)
It’s quite worrying how hard we find it to sell players, at no fault of Ineos as they were given there contracts pre them taking over but the players we are trying to sell we are stuck with,
Sancho and rashford won't take a pay cut, and what clubs are even interested, Garnacho has the ego of Ronaldo and is demanding wages more than what he's performing on and is putting teams off and no one wants to pay the money for Antony.
We need to get a move on.
1.) 20 Jun 2025 16:53:31
I gave up soon after, "Not to start a rant but. "
2.) 20 Jun 2025 17:14:09
It might start moving after July 1st. Isn’t that when the new year starts for PSR?
3.) 20 Jun 2025 17:14:31
It’ll happen.
Rashford, Sancho, Antony and Garnacho will all be sold/ loaned out in the next couple of months, I’m absolutely certain of it.
It’s going to be a busy old window. It’s only just starting.
4.) 20 Jun 2025 17:27:06
There is considerable talk that we put a new bid in yesterday, in excess of £60m, we are awaiting a response from Brentford, apparently expect to hear in the coming days.
I would be fairly confident they are carrying out a lot of work, behind the scenes, in an effort to move players on which, as we know, is massively important.
It may be frustrating but suppose we have to be a bit patient.
Let's not forget the window has only been back open a few days.
{Ed077's Note - The add-ons are already counted for? Why is it that the "reported figure" for Man Utd, Liverpool are with add-ons but for City, Chelsea they're not?
5.) 20 Jun 2025 17:50:28
Welcome to our world 077. It has been thus for United for many years.
{Ed077's Note - I don't know what to say
6.) 20 Jun 2025 18:11:28
No idea Ed, suppose they want to try and make things look worse for Utd and L'pool and better for City and Chelsea.
There definitely seems to be an agenda whereby Chelsea never get questioned about the money they spend, isn't it over a billion in 2 years? . Much is said of our failures but never a word about Chelsea's. Given the number of player's they signed must be many.
How many are they going to sign this window? Should be a competition, how many signings will Chelsea make this window. I go for 11.
{Ed077's Note - Chelsea have sold most of the club assets to the owners, to get round the FFP issues. How that complies with PSR is something way beyond my comprehension. Why isn't there a big news cycle on them selling off the hotels, the women's team, everything off to "truck" the financial rules? Less said about City the better
7.) 20 Jun 2025 18:31:19
That's right Ed, they found a bag of chips outside the ground and tried to flog those as well. Supposedly the authorities checked these deals out and gave them the all clear.
It may be paranoid, but I genuinely believe these financial rules are not trying to ensure financial stability and sustainability but merely a power grab by the authorities who could see their control waning and used the issue of finance to re-establish dominance.
8.) 21 Jun 2025 10:25:34
Some moves happen quicker than others. Cunha for example was an easy deal to conclude, he only wanted to join us, and had a set release clause value.
Mbeumo on the other hand has had options from other clubs that he has seriously considered, but supposedly has decided he wants to join us. While Brentford don't have to sell as there isn't a set fee, and they want as much as they can get for their best player. They've tried to get other clubs involved to create a bidding war, and they are holding out for as much as they can get. While United have many positions that we need to recruit while being sensible with spending to avoid breaking PSR rules.
There are also two other factors that will likely be dragging this one out. Firstly Mbeumo is on holiday and isn't available to complete his medical etc. So no need to try and rush something through. Secondly, if the deal is concluded after the end of June it goes on next year's accounts, while we also have the final COVID impacted year drop off of the PSR calculations which makes a difference on what we can afford to spend.
I expect this deal will be concluded in the first few days of July for those reasons.
30 Aug 2025 09:40:16
That’s what happens when you have idiots on changed that give big contracts to average players
Just like with sancho and rashfird
These players will run their contracts down unless it’s a loan move
More problems at the club than just what’s being delivered on the pitch still.
25 Aug 2025 18:08:20
But I will add he has a lot of potential so hopefully gets a chance and shows why he should be in the team because I like mainoo.
25 Aug 2025 17:28:47
If that’s his attitude then sell him,
Why should a player dictate how much game time they are getting you perform in training and earn your spot if that’s not what you want then sell him
He was garbage last year aswell wouldn’t warrant a starting spot and then the games he has played, like the rest of them last year he was poor
Mard kids who think they deserve the world,
Last week we played well so why did the manager need to change his team?
We didn’t exactly get played off the park yesterday we had 2/ 3 chances in the first half and a missed pen other than some dodgy corners and dalot not doing his job we would have got the points
We lost the battle in the centre of the park but mainoo isn’t the answer either he isn’t a good central midfielder we’ve seen it plenty of times when he’s played there.
Dont see an issue it’s 2 games in he needs to get a grip and stop being so entitled.
16 Jul 2025 10:18:56
He’s had a good 18 months in his entire united career
Any other top club would have got rid of him by now.
Amazes me why he is still at the club.
25 Jun 2025 13:40:40
Apprently We only needed to get around 15 million for him to not go down as a loss for psr and 5 million of that has already been paid by Chelsea for terminating the agreement.
But like above anything for him is better than nothing.
What a waste of a career so far Shane really as he looked a great prospect and would have been perfect in Amorim’s system as a 10.
14 Jan 2026 22:48:55
Our defence is shocking tumble we look like we will concede everytime a half decent team attacks
And we give easy turnovers every time because we lack the playing to play the right pass so when we do attack we are out numbered for the counter as a result
City will pick us apart weekend, and if we concede early and then have to open up a bit it could be embarrassing.
12 Jan 2026 16:45:21
But then do you trust the club to use the money to get the team better
I’m not so sure
Look at now, rumours Amorim fell out with Wilcox as they said as semeyo has gone city they wouldn’t be getting anyone
At this moment we can’t trust anyone at the club to do anything right.
12 Jan 2026 15:54:17
Confidence is on the floor through the likes of Wilcox sacking the manager because he called them out after they have been leaking snips to the press
Failed promises.
12 Jan 2026 15:51:53
The same issues coming up with the same group of players which another manager has failed to get a tune out of.
Isn’t it strange that.
Every season the excuses come in, lack of confidence, players are fragile, poor them yet us fans who folk out thousands a season are the ones suffering.
It’s just a constant circle you could go back 14 months and I have probably posted this exact reply.
12 Jan 2026 15:48:38
If we sell Bruno we best replace his numbers, regardless of his antics and somtimes he does try the killer balls to often maybe loses with ball to much but that it just what player he is as he can do the impossible compared to most players
And in another team with those numbers he throws out he would have won a hell of a lot
Love him or hate him he has been exceptional in a very poor Manchester United era and he is unappreciated by some of the fan base
Players come and go but we should be getting rid of a hell of a lot more before we think about selling Bruno, but money talks and he’s our biggest assess and as you say given age and where we are at it’s probably the best and right time to sell him now
He deserves to go somewhere and win some trophies before he retires.
