Now City are pushing for Bouaddi and to get him this season, it would be another 100 million ?. According to D. Ornstein he’s going to make a decision soon

I’m sorry but where are these valuations coming from?

Not scored a senior goal, played less than 70 games, he’s looked a good prospect in the World Cup.

But Jesus. Why’s the market so inflated on prices of players?

Average players and great prospects going for more than double what they are worth is baffling.

City are just taking the piss now. Either that, or they know a transfer ban is imminent.

2.) 14 Jul 2026 16:07:45
Redseven, if I was being skeptical, I would suggest that an agreement between City and the Premier League has been met. One where the Premier League knows they cannot financially beat City, and City have accepted that some sort of charge needs to be given. An agreement that City will get a 2, maybe 3-year transfer ban, but they are allowed to get their house in order before this is announced, which is why they have gone heavy in January and this summer.

I absolutely appreciate this could, and most likely is, nonsense, but I have zero faith in any football awarding bodies nowadays to do the right thing.

3.) 14 Jul 2026 17:13:44
There's clearly something going on, Ports. I don't think anybody expects the FA to hand out a real punishment at this point. A transfer ban after they've spent half a billion would suit both parties.

4.) 14 Jul 2026 19:23:42
There is nothing agreed. It's more of a case that City believe they can tie the case up in appeals if any punishment is given.

City will keep on spending and acting like the charges don't exist. That is the entire strategy.

A lot of people worrying about us not getting a Casimiro replacement

I see it as are the club moving on from a CDM/ holding role type like cas and are looking at changing the structure of the midfield to one where all are technically good on the ball and all have to be able to get up and down the pitch and rotate constantly

Similar to psg and there 3 in the middle they never play a specific holding or sitting

All 3 do it throughout the game

For me we haven't had a dominant midfield in forever, technically good on the ball that can play in tight spaces and can play on the half turn not afraid to have it in areas that you need to be able to beat the press and importantly a midfield that knows how to keep hold of the ball and control games

I think we all need to relax and trust ineos to again get it right with signings as they did last season which turnt out to be a successful window

Personally I would like us to get Scott from Bournemouth if he is to be the 3rd and final midfielder to go along side santos and ederson

I can't say I've seen much of either of the later play much but I hope they can fit in and settle and improve the team

Let's be real if we was playing more than once a week last season Casemiro probably wouldn't have had as good of a season but the 1 game a week games played in his favour but he finished his last season with us in good form

And anyone we sign is better than Ugarte so already the two players we have agreed deals for improve us

I still think we might turn towards baleba but strange we went in for him last summer and in Jan and haven't gone back in yet

Another bonus is also santos and ederson are not on big wages something we've struggled with when it's not worked out and we can't sell players like your sancho and rashford

Get the 3 midfielders sorted then move onto another forward to support sesko a left sided winger and a full back

Still need to try and sell players

Rashford
Bayinder
Zirkzee
Ugarte (won't happen now)

Players like Martinez and de ligt who you can't trust to play consistently and mount will most likely be unable to get rid of

But 6 weeks or so till the season starts hopefully the club start moving a bit quicker now but we don't want to rush and pay over the odds and pay daft wages and then be stuck when trying to sell these players.

So apprently according to indykaila on twitter (who is quite accurate if anyone has been following him)

There is currently a power struggle, Wilcox wants Carrick but other senior figures want ole.

Deja vu again. club can’t come to an agreement and the people paid to make decisions can’t make those decisions without issues

Club has gone backwards under Ineos.

Bolger3

1.) 12 Jan 2026 08:38:05
Wilcox Just went up in my estimation after reading that.

2.) 12 Jan 2026 08:45:27
Feels like too many cooks which was always going to be the case under the ridiculous structure the club have in place.

Until Ineos and the Glazers are gone, nothing will change.

Before we know it they’ll appoint a joint interim head coach in Carrick and OGS, assisted by RVN, and anybody else who once played for the club.

The club is a joke. The majority of players unlikeable, the leadership structure everybody hates, and smacks of a toxic and grim culture. Good riddance to the lot of them.

3.) 12 Jan 2026 08:51:45
They seem to be quiet reliable and if so its worrying that anyone on the board wants ole.
Carrick is the only option he might not have done the best at Middlesbrough but at least we're not going back he should have been in charge for yesterday to be quiet honest.

4.) 12 Jan 2026 09:00:19
If people want Ole they are utterly clueless

This is a divided falling failing club that desperately needs total new ownership. The Rat and Glazers have to go for the good of the club. This club is not unified and will continue to fall until this toxic ownership and lack of basic football intelligence is sorted out

Rats other club in France is really doing well!

God help us if they put Ole in.

5.) 12 Jan 2026 09:08:58
Both are inadequate and underwhelming. We are and have been for a long long time a effing shambles.

6.) 12 Jan 2026 09:46:16
Red man, despite suites and rhetoric, neither the glazers or INEOS care about the club or the fans, they only care about what they can get out of it. Whether that be finances, sponsorships, brand recognition.

Every decision made over the last 20 years has been to benefit them and. Them alone. Unless someone offers 6bn then neither are going anywhere. Honestly with their greed I doubt they’d even accept that.

7.) 12 Jan 2026 09:47:56
The fact the club are still infighting about an interim shows how knee jerk Amorim's firing was. What a mess.

This season looks a write off, unfortunately.

The worry for me is, the sporting team (Wilcox, Vivell) don't stick to whatever strategy they set out when they appointed Amorim and start a completely new project in the summer. Also, how on earth do you sell a project to a player when you haven't got your manager in place? The summer recruitment should be well underway, one can only assume Amorim's firing will impact the deals being worked on.

8.) 12 Jan 2026 10:43:11
To be fair, Vivell seems the one sensible person in the asylum.

9.) 12 Jan 2026 13:14:58
I don't know what his role is tbh brd so its hard to judge.

10.) 12 Jan 2026 18:33:05
Why is Carrick so much better of a choice than Ole? Anybody like to enlighten me?

I think you have to be looking at Yoro and Heaven being the next cb pairing in the future for us. Hopefully there will be plenty of games where they both play together this season, especially in the cups.

Martinez, Maguire and de Ligt all need moving on for me and replacing over the next 12-18 months. Neither are going to make us title winners.

Maguire, although a nice guy, should have been sold years ago.

And all have their injury issues. If any bids come in this window I would be looking to accept and try to get a cb or two in.

Same with the full backs. I always worry with our defence. We do give a lot of chances away.

85 million for a player who has been relegated two years running and not been a stand out in either team.

Ridiculous how he's been priced at that.

Move on, let Spurs have him.

Rather get the lad from Bournemouth.

That’s what happens when you have idiots on changed that give big contracts to average players

Just like with sancho and rashfird

These players will run their contracts down unless it’s a loan move

More problems at the club than just what’s being delivered on the pitch still.

But I will add he has a lot of potential so hopefully gets a chance and shows why he should be in the team because I like mainoo.

If that’s his attitude then sell him,

Why should a player dictate how much game time they are getting you perform in training and earn your spot if that’s not what you want then sell him

He was garbage last year aswell wouldn’t warrant a starting spot and then the games he has played, like the rest of them last year he was poor

Mard kids who think they deserve the world,

Last week we played well so why did the manager need to change his team?

We didn’t exactly get played off the park yesterday we had 2/ 3 chances in the first half and a missed pen other than some dodgy corners and dalot not doing his job we would have got the points

We lost the battle in the centre of the park but mainoo isn’t the answer either he isn’t a good central midfielder we’ve seen it plenty of times when he’s played there.

Dont see an issue it’s 2 games in he needs to get a grip and stop being so entitled.

I think it will be Baleba. I like Scott, but either would be good signings.

Don't rate Bruno from Newcastle, 29, be wanting big wages, and for the fee Newcastle are being quoted as wanting, no thanks.

If it is for rotation and a back up to the Ederson failed transfer, then yes.

But we still need a starter to play alongside Mainoo.

Would be worried if we don’t make another signing in cm.

But time will tell.

Scott is still the one I hope we get.

Balaba, Kone, Wharton are the other names.

What I will say is United are releasing snippets, throwing the journalists off, then making signings quick out of nowhere for players no one has mentioned, and another player not on a lot of wages.

For me, we need midfielders who can progress the ball, are technically good on the ball, can play in tight spaces, and ultimately can pass a ball.

Midfielders that can control and dictate tempo, similar to PSG, and how their midfield all rotate and dictate the tempo of games.

I really like Scott from Bournemouth and Baleba.

I have not seen much of Ederson, but for the fee, let's hope he is good enough.

I still worry about the fullbacks, and do think we need a cb. Martinez and de Ligt can't be trusted to stay fit, and Maguire, although he did alright last season, isn't going to win us titles.

Yoro and Heaven are kids; hopefully they play as a two in the cups and some prem games, and get a connection, as both could be the pairing for the future.

We do need a striker backup to Sesko. I have liked Cunha in that false 9 for Brazil so far, so he could be something for Carrick to look at also.

For the right player, I do believe we would pay the money. I'm glad we avoided Fernandez and Tonali for the prices they have gone for.

Difference with Rashford is his wages, mate. If he wasn't on those wages, he would be easy to sell.

Look at our recruitment recently, all signed on good wages, so if it doesn't work out, they have a better chance at selling.

I trust this lot a lot more than the previous ones in that department, and so far the signings have worked out.

Rumours we bid 59 million for Scott, that's been rejected, so hopefully a few more million, with some decent addons, and we manage to get him.

Midfields that control games are what we need, technically good on-the-ball players, and players that can play in tight spaces under pressure.

Tonali is a good player. He would improve us, but 100 million and rumoured 300k a week is way too much. Prices are ridiculous.

Is he really a top manager, Tumble? He did decent with Brighton. His Marseille side fell apart, and he is known to be hard to work with.

But now is the time. The club need to get a move on, 7 weeks till the season starts. Can't be slacking and getting players in late and starting the season slow.

We have a very good start to the season, and need to be in the champs again next year.
