The dire international break is almost over again.
Predictions for Liverpool?
I'm going with a relatively timid 1-1.
1.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 09:14:09
scousers 3-1 or 4-1.
2.) 14 Oct 2025

Feeling positive. 2-1 win.
3.) 14 Oct 2025

Liverpool look fragile at the back. Konate is a doubt as is Gravenberch. It's a pretty good time to be playing them, if the team can click and put in a performance it could be a great catalyst.
4.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 10:46:19
3-1 scousers. Another lame away day for us.
5.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 11:19:46
I got a good feeling about this one. They're in something of a bad patch themselves, leaving goals despite sitting in second. And of course there's always the customary Bruno penalty we'll get. Hopefully he's been practising.
6.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 12:22:46
We’re going to lose. Liverpool need a performance, similar to when City played us, and will adopt the same approach.
They will sit deep, and punish us on the counter.
Any team with quality in attack can get at us that way. I don’t see any other outcome.
7.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 13:54:14
Liverpool will play tippy tappy with VVD as quarterback and try and steal the 1st goal like they always do. If they score 1st they probably win 2-0/ 2-1.
If we keep our defensive shape well and keep them out and then we score 1st then I think different outcome. 1-1 or 2-1 to us.
If we are smart then force Konate to have the ball more than VVD in their build up. I expect Mount to be in on the left for the press with Mbeumo and maybe Sesko.
8.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 14:56:18
Liverpool or Draw, considering we won the last game, under Amorim we are not allowed to win the next game.
9.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 15:47:00
Goodness you're all so negative. We blew Sunderland away, clear progress is being made, clearly we are going to smash them 3-0.
10.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 16:12:45
Hoping for a win. Happy enough with a draw. I think they are there for the taking. 1st goal will be crucial and we will have to withstand a big onslaught.
A real baptism of fire for lammens in his 1st away game.
They need a win and i'd expect them to raise their game so we will need to do likewise.
Looking forward to it.
11.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 17:43:26
A win for us and its going to be 2.1 to us.
12.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 17:49:40
Every time I've been optimistic we get smashed so I'll go for Liverpool to win 16-0.
13.) 14 Oct 2025
14 Oct 2025 20:43:46
3-1 pool. utd will get back to 2-1 but lose 3rd on counter late on. in truth i'm expecting another limp pathetic performance.
14.) 15 Oct 2025
15 Oct 2025 07:36:30
It's a tough game to call. We're in poor form ourselves and United always raise their game when playing against us. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a draw. My guess is it'd be 2-2.
15.) 15 Oct 2025

Would have been nice to have played them before the international break off the back of their defeats. Appreciate players have been away with international teams but it's given them time to reset. Casualties from international duty may play a role in the game, read that Gravenberch came of for Holland, would be a big miss for them but I expect we'll have a couple who are fatigued or carrying knocks.
Both teams will want this game as a confidence builder so perhaps it will be quite a tentative opening to the game. Think Mount will have a big role to play in the game. Going for a hopeful 1-0 United win.
16.) 15 Oct 2025
15 Oct 2025 11:35:38
A subjective 4-1 win for us.
17.) 15 Oct 2025
15 Oct 2025 13:19:58
despite their recent form i very much doubt we will see them hand us a win at anfield.
1-1.
18.) 15 Oct 2025
15 Oct 2025 18:33:05
3-1 to the Scousers unfortunately. back to reality for us after sunderland.
19.) 15 Oct 2025
15 Oct 2025 22:29:19
Our defence is poor and so is our midfield. Liverpool will be determined to win after their recent losses and I can see Isak and Ekitike have a field day. Salah usually scores against. Will be a real test of Utds mentality. If Scousers get an early goal it could be a drubbing. Then again with Utd you just never know and they might actually turn up and win.
20.) 16 Oct 2025
16 Oct 2025 04:46:24
I'm always a glass half full guy, so I'll go for just the 3-0 defeat.
21.) 16 Oct 2025
16 Oct 2025 11:59:59
I don't see them having a field day at all. Salah is looking well out of sorts. Isak on fire is behind only Haaland IMO in the Prem but he's barely packed his new locker. Ekiteke looks like a decent addition. I think there'll be chances at both ends.
22.) 17 Oct 2025
17 Oct 2025 15:32:40
3 or 4 nil to Liverpool, suddenly Salah will burst in to action and hit some form.
23.) 18 Oct 2025

I see this game as a free hit. We aren't expected to get anything from an away game at Anfield right now. They are the champions and we had our worst season in over 50 years last season.
We are so low right now that avoiding a humbling defeat could be seen as a step in the right direction. In recent years they have absolutely spanked us a few times. We could easily find positives in a battling 1-0 defeat.
That said they have had their first wobble under Slot, three defeats on the bounce. With their side looking a little disjointed with all of the changes made over the summer. Some key players leaving in TAA, Diaz and Nunez, while key players like VvD and Salah are another year older and will start to slow down at some point (maybe we are seeing that this season) . The new signings are trying to settle and the way the team is being set up and asked to play is different to last season. There are several questions that Slot will need to find the answer to soon if they are to be able to retain the title. Who is first choice RB, Bradley or Frimpong. They are two very different players and who he picks will make a big difference to how the team plays. Who starts on the left and the shape/ patterns of play in attack also needs to be addressed. Writz, Gakpo or even Ekitike on the left if Isak is going to start as the main striker. How does he fit all off his best attackers into a line up that works and gets the best out of them? Is it time to drop Salah? Does he even have the credit in the bank to drop Salah?
While there seems to be questions over squad depth at CB. VvD is aging. Konate hasn't signed a new deal and maybe that's impacting his performances this season, while he can also pick up a few injuries. That leaves Gomez who also looks set to leave on a free without a new deal, and with Slot seemingly not fancying him at all. Leaving Williams and new boy Leoni as two very young and inexperienced options as the only squad depth, both of which are injured right now.
Midfield when everyone is fit should be solid enough, but when Gravenberch isn't available they can look a little bit light in midfield, although I think it's as much about shape and tactics this season as it is about the skills of the players available. They seem a little top heavy, trying to fit all the best attacking players on the pitch in their best positions, but that often leaves the midfield pivot with more space to cover, with Gravenberch being the only really quick and athletic midfielder they have who is defensively aware enough to cover the gaps that can appear.
They have a lot of things that need to worked out, and I'm fairly confident that Slot will get them playing well enough to challenge for the title this season, but it might be next season or even the year after before this new emerging team really starts to hit it's peak. I think they will need to bring in a couple of top CB's to be first choice, and probably another more athletic midfielder who can cover a lot of ground and plug the gaps if they want to continue to let the front four play with that attacking freedom that is needed to get the best out of them.
While I don't expect us to get the win tomorrow, I think it's our best chance to actually get a win at Anfield in recent years. I wouldn't be totally surprised if we did come away with a win. I think the game will end 2-1 but that could be either way, although I expect it will be a Liverpool win.
