Apparently we have completed a deal for Morgan Schneirderlin for €35million Euros according to reports coming from Europe.

He is listed as a Man Utd player on Betinf.com for anyone who likes to dabble in the old mugs game of gambling. Any news from anyone else?

JMB

1.) 04 Jul 2015 12:26:21
thats grt news jmb if its true

2.) 04 Jul 2015 12:41:48
Rumours ! How many players have missed regardless of such rumours , I will only be exicted when a target puts pen to paper like Depay
pals , we don't just need signing but a signing of what we lack in our team is what is important , we better don't sign if such targets are unvailable then why pay such fees 25m for unprooven player where as prooven player are available : De jong(free) , Song(3-5m)

3.) 04 Jul 2015 12:56:07
de jong . song . let's get all freebie . we r not looking for squad players and Schneirderlin is proven epl player and we have scouted him for long time

4.) 04 Jul 2015 13:01:36
Obin - what are you even talking about?

5.) 04 Jul 2015 13:05:43
And that site suggests it happened on the 15th June.

6.) 04 Jul 2015 13:15:02
De Jong signed with Milan

7.) 04 Jul 2015 14:13:10
I lost 5 bottles of hard beer yesterday . I guess obinahk found it

8.) 04 Jul 2015 14:17:42
Obin,do you do all your shopping in the pound shop

9.) 04 Jul 2015 14:18:06
Obinahk is right JMB, schneiderlin is relatively unproven in the prem as he's only bossed it for 3 seasons

10.) 04 Jul 2015 16:58:50
Wouldn't want de Jong near United, he's just signed a new 3 year deal at Milan too. Song, decent player but we surely would've gone in for him last summer if we had any interest when he was available for loan, it tells a story that west ham got him, no offence hammers fans.

11.) 05 Jul 2015 11:15:50
Another player i never thought we have an interest in, he was already in the PL and was deemed not good enough. Stop believing anything the sun, metro, star prints.

Still believe we have zero interest in Turan, Gaitan but according to some of the papers we have signed or about to sign them. It does not take a genius to know they are not even close to anything we need if you have ever watched them and what we already have.

I asked the other day where do you play Turan and who sits on the bench for everyone who is suddenly a fan of him and got zero response. That should be a good enough indication that he does not fit the bill.

BTW neither Barcelona or Chelsea will buy him either as they already have much better players in those positions. Would nto be surprised if Spurs buy him as he is the type they go venture with their money. He is the turkish version of Milner LOL.

Ed025 since I know you are a big Evertonian, I have a rumour for you that came from a mate of mine who lives in London.

He told me that he seen Saido Berahino in a sports shop with another lad (he said he was pretty sure it was him and he spotted him later that day in Harrods also) and he slipped on an Everton top over his shirt and asked the guy he was with "how does blue suit me" or something to that effect.

I know United have been linked with him in the past and I think he is a good player but his attitude let's him down for me (reminds me of a certain Lukaku). Anyway mate it may be nothing, heck it might not have even been him but it's a rumours site after all so I thought I'd let you know so you can ponder over it.

JMB

{Ed025's Note - cheers JMB...but seeing as he has never played for wigan or united, and is a good player...i cant see us getting him mate.. :(

1.) 04 Jun 2015 22:49:27
Just seen this mate. I see what your saying Ed025 but I think the rumours of all these cast offs going to Everton are just a smokescreen. I think a big summer is needed for you lads and I can't see the hierachy happily sitting idle if RM see's Evans, Clev and co as the answer. Personally I'd move on Lukaku and invest wisely!

{Ed025's Note - lukaku has the makings of a very good player JMB, and if you want your club to move forward you dont sell your best players!, everton have a history of being orthadox tight arses when it comes to spending on players, so im not expecting great things to happen on the transfer front mate..

2.) 05 Jun 2015 05:03:46
Not being funny jmb but can you take this to the Everton page please ;)

{Ed025's Note - get over yourself dave, its pre-season mate and a bit of banter between supporters is all good whichever page its on..

3.) 05 Jun 2015 07:00:42
It was a joke ed025 but I'll let you off its early ;)

{Ed025's Note - it is dave..have a nice day mate..

With Schweinstiger still not penned a new contract yet is it possible he may leave for a big payday given he is now in his 30's?

{Ed002's Note - (a) What interest? Try the search engine. (b) I don't know what you mean "big pay day". Schweinsteiger is already eking out a reasonable living.}

RE my other post this is what I asked about Bastian in March. Woody should just hit me up for any more advice he needs.

JMB

{Ed002's Note - Why don't you also tell them that you are the reason that I won't provide any more information to this page this summer? Actually, now I won't provide any at all in the future.}

1.) 14 Jul 2015 08:48:46
Gee thanks a lot jmb. This is exactly the information i was looking for.

2.) 14 Jul 2015 08:53:54
Oh JMB, Why poke the bear!

3.) 14 Jul 2015 09:03:30
JMB, would you kindly stop.

4.) 14 Jul 2015 09:08:50
JMB,

Enough people on here think you are a bit of an idiot without you doing stuff like this, I think most people would agree they would kindly have you banned to get Ed002 back on here. The site is not about point scoring and digging up old posts, what an absolute twonk.

5.) 14 Jul 2015 09:09:54
So you've basically spent your time searchbg that post for what, so you can try and show up Ed002 and once again potentially spoilt things for everyone else. Maybe an apology to Ed and us would go a long way.

6.) 14 Jul 2015 09:55:03
Just when i thought this guy cudnt get more frustrating with his posts.

7.) 14 Jul 2015 10:01:19
jmb this really uncalled this a banter site with fellow supportes and ED r here to just help us its better have banter with us with all the respect u need to apology to ed . none bigger r smaller .

8.) 14 Jul 2015 10:06:48
JMB , you just can't help yourself can you? It is rather ironic that you criticise LvG for having a massive ego given that you seem to have one yourself. You seem to need attention in the same way that the rest of us need oxygen.
You asked the other day "why I hate thy so?".
Well , I don't hate thy so. To ne honest I actually feel sorry for you. I don't want to see anyone banned from the site , but at the moment you are about as popular as a fart in an astronaut suit.
When you joined the site you were constructive , and made a lot of really good points. Its mot for me to give advice, but why not go back to posting quality rather than quantity.
Too many people now use sites like this in the same way they use social media such as twitter.
This site is so much more than that. Perhaps if you treated this site , the Eds and its users , with the respect it deserves , then you would get some in return.

9.) 14 Jul 2015 10:08:10
What a cock

10.) 14 Jul 2015 10:15:07
Of course the eds aren't 100% right all of the time, their normal people, which I think is often forgotten on here. A week ago noone expected us to sign Bastian so looking for posts from 4 months ago proves what? Maybe at the time there was no interest. Things do change. Maybe recently his agent tipped us off.

As GDS said twonk

11.) 14 Jul 2015 10:17:00
That's ridiculous. Hopefully ed002 will reconsider if everyone other than JMB wants her back

12.) 14 Jul 2015 10:35:54
What an idiot.

13.) 14 Jul 2015 10:36:44
I would gladly have him banned to get ed002 back in, an absolute numpty JMB, you've proved it time and time again.

Eds is there anything we can do about this? This is a site I've visited for years on end and loved it for the people like Syd, gds, Shappy, jred etc. But the knowledge that the Eds bring to this site is invaluable especially ed 002.

To bring this site back to what it was we need to get rid of some of the rotten bits

{Ed001's Note - his accounts have been deleted.}

14.) 14 Jul 2015 10:50:26
GD, I agree. Tried to like your concise post more than once

15.) 14 Jul 2015 11:06:27
Lovely job ed. is there a way we can get ed 002 back now at such a pivotal time for his/her knowledge?

{Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen.}

16.) 14 Jul 2015 11:12:57
That's a shame ed, I just thought by getting rid of the reason why you don't post here anymore the door might be left ajar.

I must say thanks for all of your input, i think you were the main reason so many people joined this site, certainly mine. The other sites are lucky to have you. I'll still be popping to various sites to read your input and it's a loss to not have you over here anymore

17.) 14 Jul 2015 11:24:15
Hi Ed002,

Given that the account has been deleted and the regular readers have suffered at the expense of a few. I think your message has hit people "loud and clear". Can we please resolve this situation, we'd love to have you back and we want to hear from you.

Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - I am no longer providing anything on the MU page. Sorry - it is really not worth the grief.}

18.) 14 Jul 2015 11:26:24
great post GD. post of the year IMO

19.) 14 Jul 2015 11:27:10
Completely respect your stance 002, its a matter of principle now, ed002 has said on more than one occasion they are not posting up or answering questions on here, I won't lie, the info was invaluable but as a man of principle myself I get 002's stance and trying to belittle that info with posts from 4 months ago is pretty petty.

No one thought BS, MS, darmian would sign 4 months ago!!!

20.) 14 Jul 2015 11:27:47
Accounts, plural? Was he posting under more than one name Ed001?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

21.) 14 Jul 2015 11:37:15
What's that? The minority spoiling it for the majority AGAIN.

22.) 14 Jul 2015 11:37:34
It wouldn't surprise me if he was the beast as well lol only joking beast. I presume the 2 accounts in questions are just JuanMatasBeard and JMB.

GD, your post just made me laugh out loud in the office, I went with twonk but cock is much more appropriate.

23.) 14 Jul 2015 11:39:22
I'll be the first to admit I am a tw@ at times but this guy was something else.
Well done to all involved in drawing a line and saying enough is enough.
Regards

24.) 14 Jul 2015 11:39:49
I knew Jred and Deeps were the same person, didn't know they were JMB too! No one could have that much of a crush on Rooney without being one of the Rooneys or on a wind up!

25.) 14 Jul 2015 12:10:04
On yer bike, JMB! (So long as it's not Ed002's Electra Indy!)

Glad Eds deleting accounts of numpties who ruin this site for the rest of us.

Completely understand Ed's principalled stance about not posting on here: why should they when all they get is grief?

Perhaps she might kindly consider returning here once more pruning of weeds is done, allowing the real flowers to blossom.

Ps thanks to all other Eds also who do such a brilliant job - very much appreciated.

26.) 14 Jul 2015 13:01:36
Right, Ed002 isn't coming back, let's just accept it people. We here, as everywhere in society, have a minority on knuckle scraping Neanderthals, who can't help but f*ck it up for those who enjoy this place for what it is, and appreciate what all the eds do, not just 002. Maybe without ed002 to wind up, the amoebas will p*ss off and find the rock they climbed out from under, and at some point in the very distant future he/she may return, who knows. Let's just enjoy this place minus ed002, and if it ever changes then great.

That said, If ed002 is female, I will happily put off my meal with Ana Ivanovic, and entertain her instead, if it helps get her back by the end of the decade. If you are a fella, I'll get the beers/JD's in when I've finished with Ana :-)

27.) 14 Jul 2015 12:46:09
Lol cocks not word for this joker. As ed says what a glifnard!

{Ed001's Note - just to point out the other account was JGunner, not sure he ever posted using it.}

28.) 14 Jul 2015 13:55:00
Quality conlusion Brendan 😂

29.) 14 Jul 2015 21:47:22
Thanks ed

12 Jul 2015 14:15:34
We all know we need some new CB's and have been chasing many big names if the press is anything to go by but I think we could do a lot worse than look at someone like Ashley Williams who is a solid defender. I'd rather take a chance on someone like him than see us throw money at a name just for the sake of it.

Cue the hate mail because he isn't a fancy name.

JMB

1.) 12 Jul 2015 14:32:55
You have a fair point JMB, if he was a free transfer then everyone would say take a punt - Cahill to Chelsea for £7m was hardly eye catching and he has not done to bad.

I still think it will be Otamendi though - he is a bit of a beast - Vidic and Stam esque.

2.) 12 Jul 2015 14:33:04
Good defender ok , we could certainly do a lot worse

3.) 12 Jul 2015 14:41:45
I wouldn't mind him as the 2nd CB for sure, I think we need a bit better as our "primary" CB if we want to compete at the very top, but rather Williams than any of our current CB's.

4.) 12 Jul 2015 14:50:47
Agree with Beast, we have enough decent or good CB's I'd like just one top level CB to come in to help organise and lift the others in the ranks.

5.) 12 Jul 2015 14:57:49
if were signing two CB's which I doubt , then Ashley williams would be a good fit for the second one. I watch my national side a lot and he's a very solid international standard CB mate

6.) 12 Jul 2015 15:07:04
JMB and Beast , you two would be the first to come on here and tell us how United just can't buy its A list players and are in such a decline. Just making a point.

7.) 12 Jul 2015 15:16:59
Ashley Williams is world class ofc we should go for him.

8.) 12 Jul 2015 15:43:34
Smalling is just as good if not better than Williams and has age on his side.

{Ed004's Note - 100% agree with this}

9.) 12 Jul 2015 15:44:54
You been sipping that rum sailor?

10.) 12 Jul 2015 16:18:55
Snaking is no where near as composed as Williams

11.) 12 Jul 2015 16:26:55
Didn't really put a foot wrong after his sending off against City. If we see him improve at the same rate this season then I can't really find anything to moan about mate

12.) 12 Jul 2015 16:38:59
He sleeps and makes lots of errors, just nothing as blatantly obvious as the City game. Awful with the ball, but very good in the air and he can recover well.

13.) 12 Jul 2015 19:06:25
Fair point. Always room for improvement I suppose! Think as he gets older his reading of the game will get better making his decision making better too.

14.) 12 Jul 2015 22:08:02
I hope so Red, especially with some experience around him.

11 Jul 2015 11:35:02
It's great to see us sign players like Bastian and go for ones such as Schneiderlin who is a very good player. Depay may well be the next big thing and Darmian could well solve our RB problems as well, but just out of interest does anyone think we will bring in any Home Grown players this window?

Obviously City are falling over themselves trying to bring in HG talent and Liverpool have brought in a few of their own (albeit not the quality to challenge for the league for me) but I personally would like us to do a deal for a good HG talent.

Yes we have been linked with Kane (who I like) but relistically I can't see him leaving Spurs this window. The only other two I can think of is Stones or Barkely of Everton who could turn into top draw talents.

I can't imagine Everton selling both of them but after their dismal season last year would someone like Barkely's value have dropped since last summer? He could be a great player if managed correctly in my opinion.

JMB

1.) 11 Jul 2015 11:44:24
I think schneiderlin qualifies as home grown

2.) 11 Jul 2015 12:01:24
I'd rather my nan played for us than Ross Barkley.

3.) 11 Jul 2015 12:03:15
Doesn't schneiderlin qualify as homegrown?

4.) 11 Jul 2015 12:12:40
We already have enough home grown players based on what the League requires. Off the top of my head Shaw, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Rooney, Young, Evans, Wilson and even Pereira I think qualifies.

5.) 11 Jul 2015 14:17:57
JMB you are indirectly paying LVG a compliment, be careful!!

11 Jul 2015 09:45:01
If we manage to pull of the signing of Bastian Schweinstiger I think it could be a real coup similar to the one Jose pulled with Ballack when he put together his midfield of 'untouchables' all those years ago.

He would be a class signing. Major step up from your Blind's and Felliani's that's for sure.

JMB

1.) 11 Jul 2015 09:58:02
A positive post jmb.

You feeling OK? Haha

2.) 11 Jul 2015 09:58:30
Thought Fellaini was our best player?

3.) 11 Jul 2015 10:04:53
i totally agree JMB we need a player of his leadership

4.) 11 Jul 2015 10:09:44
Exactly same thing I said to my dad when it broke last night JMB, I think it'll be a similar catalyst, a player like him doesn't come along every other day. The guys special and won everything, people like pep just don't seem to understand that. (The pessimistic poster, not the genius manager)

5.) 11 Jul 2015 10:31:47
Betty - Firstly, why do you hate thy so? Felliani was one of our best players last season but what I'm getting at is we are signing a winner and a champion as opposed to a player who can do a job.

David - I am not negative. I just have a lot of pessimism at the moment in regards to LVG and after last years showing we should all have concerns but I still like to see us sign awesome players and I think we all would agree Schweinstiger is the class of player United should be aiming for.

Dwill, Anon - Agree completely with your views. I hated coming up against that ****** Ballack he was as solid as an Ox and a General on the park. Here's hoping Schweinstiger can do the same job for us for the next few years.

6.) 11 Jul 2015 11:37:27
So . Schweinsteiger would be a great signing .

One of the main reasons for that signing if it happens is the fact that Van Gaal is our manager .

We need to get rid of Van Gaal .

7.) 11 Jul 2015 11:45:56
JMB. I don't hate thy so. I don't even know thy so. It just ammuses me that thy so constantly knows best and tells all other thy so's that they are wrong (with the exception of thy Beasty boy) , but then contradict yourself with subsequent posts.
This thread is a fine example. You have been telling us for months that Fellaini was our best player last season , and will be a nailed in started this coming season.
I get your point about Schweinsteiger being a step up , so maybe Fellaini was just a bad example seeing as he is our best player.
If you want to be the all knowing oracle , thy so needs a better memory.

8.) 11 Jul 2015 11:54:35
So Van Gaal is a bigger draw than Man Utd Bilko?

9.) 11 Jul 2015 12:22:33
No , but he's worked with the player and by all accounts Schweinsteiger respects him so it obviously plays a big part

10.) 11 Jul 2015 12:35:46
I think he has signed for United not LVG

11.) 11 Jul 2015 12:42:59
Or the money jmb?

12.) 11 Jul 2015 12:49:49
So when RVP signed for us rather than City , you think the chance to work with SAF had nothing to do with it ?

13.) 11 Jul 2015 12:56:24
Both Chris. The money and United.

08 Jul 2015 22:07:18
My worry if we sign up Darmian (which looks possible if the news outlets are anything to go by) is that if we believe what we have read and heard over the last few months then we haven't been able to persuade our first choice targets thus far.

Even with Depay signed up, if you go down the path of looking at some pretty legitimate sources then that would give you the impression that it was in fact Bale who was of main interest to us for the wing but it seemed to be a non starter so we got Depay.

Now before I get the usual 'your a negative nelly' comments, I am not knocking Darmian or Depay but if say Bale and Coleman were first choice it makes you wonder would a club like Real Madrid have stuck to their guns and got their man? I suppose we will see with De Gea.

JMB

1.) 08 Jul 2015 22:24:09
No one knows who our first choice targets are or were. Plus that Is the reason you have options and move with changing information.
Ramos would not have been on a list because no one would have thought he would leave. there is nothing wrong with exploring that avenue if information suggests he might.

2.) 08 Jul 2015 22:24:54
Dont think we got Depay 'instead of' Bale personally.

3.) 08 Jul 2015 22:27:01
what makes you think we were after Bale in this window? and what makes you think he would have wanted to leave Real?

All these rumours have came from the papers speculating who our targets are, nothing more.

4.) 08 Jul 2015 22:30:53
Depay was nothing to do with Bale, Darmian by all accounts may have been first choice. There you go.

5.) 08 Jul 2015 22:58:08
We can't buy someone if it is a non starter.

Coleman is too expensive for what he is.

6.) 08 Jul 2015 23:00:11
jmb i don't think so depay and bale have to do anything but o agree with darmian he surely 3rd choice but tat not really the club fault dani was our 1st choice he used us then coleman was our 2nd choice everton said not for sale and other clubs where closing on darmain if its ture v got him i m happy for the 1st time rather then chasing targets which we won't get and loose the other target we done good job

7.) 08 Jul 2015 23:19:59
What is too expensive for Coleman? .

Proven, defends, attacks, and scores goals. I don't remember him having a bad game tbh. 🙋🙌

8.) 08 Jul 2015 23:24:13
Coleman may well have been "first choice" but that's only in the correct circumstances. We wouldn't want to pay £30-£40m Everton would probably demand just to make sure we nail our "first choice" targets. For me, Coleman is a decent RB but doesn't warrant a bigger fee than say £20m max. So I'd rather move on if we get told by Everton we need to pay £30 odd million. Same for other targets

9.) 08 Jul 2015 23:29:26
didn't one of the eds say we were after depay long before the rumours of bale started?

i can't remember which ed but i'm sure i read it somewhere before the season ended

10.) 08 Jul 2015 23:32:22
Well no British journalists knew we have been in discussions for over 4 months with Darmain until now. So they hardly seems very reliable to me JMB.

I tell u one person who was talking about Darmain a lot, ED02, he was putting his name out there quite a bit from what I've read on others.
Thats not a soppy we need ED02 back comment just saying we might of had a bit more of a clue he was coming if he was still about.

Anyways back to the point, i think this window is proving the British press know not much of our interest in many of our targets so who knows who 1st 2nd or 3rd choice transfer is.

11.) 08 Jul 2015 23:05:42
May have been? What makes you think?

Let's wait a minute here. The story of Darmian has only been running for the last few days for starters and as for Bale he has been linked to us for months and months through some reputable journals and sources like the Telegraph etc.

Ed002 has said that Bale would be available at the right price and that Untied was a possible destination for the player should Real cash in on him. Ed002 also spoke extensively about Clyne and Coleman for months in regards to United having possible interest, not Darmian. So was Ed002 just feeding us BS? I don't think so.

12.) 09 Jul 2015 08:18:25
Ur right JMB we aren't attracting the players we want no matter how much money we throw at them! So your theory of players only care about money still isn't working out for me this window as I've not seen any examples yet!!!!

13.) 09 Jul 2015 08:56:51
Some people will moan if we spend silly money on the likes of Di Maria and Falcao, then moan again when we try to be more savvy and get the right players for the right price - rather than a flashy name.

All the above is based on speculation jmb (altho in your head it somehow becomes fact) but don't let that get in the way of having a dig at the club.

14.) 09 Jul 2015 09:54:51
I asked ed002 about Darmian approx 4 month ago after I spotted a story online. He was mooted albeit very slightly compared to alves, coleman an clyne. Woodward and man utd seem to be playing a poker style game in the transfer windows over the last 3 and imo are getting better at it playing 1 off another. I expect more signings like everyone else I guess but still think there will be 1 major shock that surprises the massess- atm I would guess at a punt on barkley
