I have read that spurs are close to a deal for Reguilon, maybe we did not want him?
1.) 15 Sep 2020 19:07:01
theres talk of a madrid wanting a buyback clause there's no way we should even entertain that idea so for me i'm glad we walked away.
We definitely need a left back tho so hopefully we get telles tbh i would rather have him anyway.
2.) 15 Sep 2020 21:27:56
What is wrong with the buy back clause, just get big Phil Jones to change his name to Reguilon and off he goes to Madrid in a few years time.
09 Sep 2020 10:31:03
Romero up for sale, Chelsea may be interested. Rumours keep on going.
1.) 09 Sep 2020 11:08:48
Romero deserves to be a number 1. If he signed for Chelsea I'd wish him the best of luck. Anyone buying him woild get a very good keeper.
2.) 09 Sep 2020 14:27:36
He's been a class act whenever he has played for us. 39 clean sheets in 61 appearances is exceptional. Wherever he goes he deserves to be first choice and play every week.
3.) 09 Sep 2020 15:17:54
Wish him well. He would walk into 10 teams at least in the PL. Always done his best for us.
4.) 09 Sep 2020 17:13:44
It can’t be easy being a number 2 goalkeeper given the need to be ready at a moments notice. It must be difficult to step onto the pitch and do what needs to be done having sometimes not played for months at a time. Like others, I wish him all the best wherever he goes.
I am a little worried about who we will get to replace him as he’s arguably amongst the very best when it comes to backup keepers. We should be fine next season with Dave and Dean, but I’d be surprised if they’re both still at the club come the close of next summer’s transfer window.
07 Aug 2020 20:01:41
I thought we were interested in TORRES, is this the same one as City have signed? I am seeing the name Pau Torres.
1.) 07 Aug 2020 21:20:35
City signed the winger torres. Pau is a cb.
2.) 08 Aug 2020 20:21:51
So did we want both?
3.) 08 Aug 2020 22:42:35
Neither i'd say.
27 Jul 2020 15:23:34
I'm reading of some sort of swap deal involving Sanchez and Perisic. Any Eds have a clue?
{Ed002's Note - That would make no sense.}
1.) 28 Jul 2020 04:55:42
Sanchez and skrinier swap makes full sense.
2.) 28 Jul 2020 08:04:53
Not for Inter it doesn’t. We need to get Sanchez off the books as his massive wages are a burden on the club. I doubt we’ll be asking for a large fee (if any fee at all) and will be looking to get rid of him whilst paying him as little as possible. Why would Inter give us one of their best players in exchange for a player who we would probably give away for nothing if push came to shove?
3.) 28 Jul 2020 10:48:05
Do you have any insight here, Ed002?
The press are saying Inter are serious about signing him and he is willing to take a pay cut, but Inter would still need United to help with wages?!
Is that true? Has that ever happened before?
Thanks a lot!
{Ed002's Note - Alexis Sanchez (LW/F) Inter were cooling a little over keeping him but he has agreed to take a significant cut in his financial demands. Inter will look to use players in part exchange which I doubt would suit Manchetser United who will look to a cash sale for a reasonably small amount.}
4.) 28 Jul 2020 23:55:10
Dare I say man utd are taking a sensible view on this one considering they are happy to take a small amount as a fee?
03 Jul 2020 07:55:40
Red Devil Updates have posted a report that BILD are saying Bellingham has signed for Dortmund for €23 million on a 5 year deal.

ED'S, how will this be with the players? If FIFA, UEFA, PL, FA etc ban them from all competitions, will those who still want to play for MUFC etc in the EPL and win an FA Cup still be kept to their contract?
{Ed002's Note - They would need to leave and play elsewhere. The proposal makes an assumption that the clubs will still be able to play in the PL and FA Cup etc.. Sometimes it is best to ask first.}
1.) 19 Apr 2021 15:06:01
Ed isn't this just the opening salvo in the war on who controls football, the federations or the clubs.
Can you see a point where the elite clubs set up ESL divisions, World Cups etc.
{Ed002's Note - No, these ideas have been talked about for years and the "elite" group of clubs (not all of those making these proposals) will talk again this week. This is the owners of one club carrying out their threat after the LFC/MUFC Project Bigfoot failed.}
2.) 19 Apr 2021 15:08:07
If the ESL is set up as it is, hoe would transfers work? Would it be signings from within just the clubs in the ESL? Will we see drafts?
{Ed002's Note - None of that has been discussed as the clubs would not be affiliated to FIFA or UEFA any longer.}
19 Apr 2021 10:18:02
In the 28 years of the Champions League, only 5 clubs who have not signed up to this breakaway league have won it. One of these is Munich, I don't think they will want to miss out on this cash cow. Then we have Dortmund, Porto, Ajax and Marseille. I suspect Dortmund would want in on the action as well. So it seems it is a league where we don't get pitted against the best in Russia or Turkey or even those long flights to Thingyastan.
{Ed002's Note - You need to understand that each of those clubs you mention are involved in the "elite" club discussions.
1.) 19 Apr 2021 10:32:34
Dortmund and Bayern are fan-owned so might resist. Anyone welcoming this has never been a regular match goer. This isn't what football is about. This was the working class community's sport and now its being torn apart by yanks to suit markets 1000s of miles away.
2.) 19 Apr 2021 10:56:16
I don't think I personally would support United if this happens. What's the point left for top 4 then?
3.) 19 Apr 2021 11:06:16
At around £1k pa for a season ticket, your average dad with 2 kids who he wants to bring to the game needs a spare 3 grand per year, plus travelling costs and snacks etc. Add on a sky sports subscription, plus bt sport, so you don't miss any games. That's another 1200 quid per year. Prob need to earn £6k pa pre tax to pay for it. Good luck if your on minimum wage earning £8.91 ph.
A lot of working class people can not afford that. This game, certainly at the highest levels, hasn't been about working class people for decades.
4.) 19 Apr 2021 10:36:06
My understanding was that Bayern, Dortmund and PSG had all been approached and refused to back the idea of the Super League. It doesn't surprise me as the German clubs are very much driven by the fans.
Is this not be the case Ed?
{Ed002's Note - A number of other clubs have been approached, all of which support a better managed longer-term solution and they will each be involved in discussions later this week.}
5.) 19 Apr 2021 11:36:55
That was my point, the Champions League is not much different to this new super league, it just gets rid of the group stages as such and guarantees the top clubs will always be playing each other. Great to make money from Asia and Africa.
6.) 19 Apr 2021 15:04:30
The FIFA and Uefa syndicates need wake up calls, maybe this will be it.
11 Apr 2021 14:52:39
Messi Lingard has 2 today.
{Ed077's Note - Messi Lingardinho you mean😁
11 Apr 2021 14:33:54
So top of the table Inter Milan had the following in their team today. Darmian, Young, Lukaku and Sanchez. All four started and Darmian scored the only goal.
1.) 11 Apr 2021 14:56:47
Really don’t know what to make of that. Italian league poor?! Players better than we thought?! 🤷♂️.
2.) 11 Apr 2021 14:59:07
What’s your point? They are playing a significantly lower level league.
{Ed077's Note - significantly lower level league?? That's a bit too much IMO
3.) 11 Apr 2021 15:29:49
Red Whiskey are they? We just about got through against AC Milan. We get beat by Istanbul and Leipzig, hardly who you would expect to win either of their own leagues. Inter are a good team with 4 ex United Players who are starting games.
04 Apr 2021 14:31:28
Bit of Easter fun, if you could bring four players back into this United Team, who would you pick?
Schmeichel or Van Der Sar
Stam or Ferdinand
Keane or Robson
Rooney or Cantona.
1.) 04 Apr 2021 15:05:27
Schmeichel, Ferdinand, Keane, Rooney.
I think most people will opt for the first two. Feelings might dictate the midfield choice and maybe because he's exactly what Utd need now I'd choose Keane. Up front was tough. Cantona is my favourite all-time player, but Rooney was more prolific.
2.) 04 Apr 2021 15:18:01
Jonny Evans
Memphis Depay
Romelu Lukaku
Wilfried Zaha.
3.) 04 Apr 2021 15:22:49
Ferdinand
Scholes
Carrick
Van Persie.
4.) 04 Apr 2021 15:05:27
Schmeichel, Ferdinand, Keane, Rooney.

Jonny Evans

6.) 04 Apr 2021 15:51:30
Why do people think we need schmeichel? I'm happy with both our keepers.
7.) 04 Apr 2021 15:58:40
Funny that you give some people 2 options and they go wildcard.
8.) 04 Apr 2021 16:17:37
Schmeichel, Stam, Keane and Rooney.
I loved Ferdinand but Stam was terrifying and was quicker then he looked. Get caught in a Schmeichel Stam sandwich and you're game is over 😂
Question is how much would those 4 cost now? 350-400m.
9.) 04 Apr 2021 16:49:08
Lol, I completely misunderstood your question!
Why those players? Strange question.
Schmeical, rio, keane, rooney.
10.) 04 Apr 2021 16:58:58
Schmeichel
Stam
Robson
Cantona.
11.) 04 Apr 2021 17:38:55
Blackpool red👍.
12.) 04 Apr 2021 17:56:32
Taibi
Bebe
Kleberson
Djemba Djemba
🤣🤣🤣.
13.) 04 Apr 2021 18:02:36
Blackpool red👌
2 marginal calls but big pete was my fav ever goalkeeper.
Robson my favourite ever player.
Stam over rio only because stam was just so different to anybody else at the time to play for united.
Eric over Rooney only because Eric was the original catalyst for fergie.
{Ed077's Note - didn't big Pete go on to play for Man City?
14.) 04 Apr 2021 18:05:40
Dodgy, could have said 5 names for each position. Was interested because I think any mix of that 8 would improve us.
15.) 04 Apr 2021 18:22:32
Yeah, I get it. One player for each position in spine. But no right winger. Also no real 9. Rvp, cole and ruud etc would have covered that.
Sparked some comments, so all good 👊👍😁.
16.) 04 Apr 2021 21:34:49
Van de saar
Vidic
Robson
Cantona.
17.) 04 Apr 2021 23:03:17
Van De Saar
Vida
Park
Rooney.

I thought Richarlison liked to play as a striker type and will cut in from the right in the same way that Rashford does it from the right?
01 Apr 2021 19:51:47
Grim, that's your problem mate. He only likes been called stiffy.
27 Mar 2021 09:20:40
What is Henrik Larrson doing now?
29 Sep 2020 16:00:51
Hope this is true, never have I felt like a transfer is rubbish than this one. Over 100 million for a player who does not want to come to us, did we not learn with Pogba?
28 Sep 2020 12:41:24
I heard the Sancho Deal is been held up because he refuses to play the recorder when we unveil him, he reckons he could outdo Sanchez on the piano.

At least the weather will be better, however I don't know how many of us would be put in prison if we had a Dubai version of the Trafford or Bishops?
19 Apr 2021 13:34:58
Used today as a smokescreen. Sack Jose when everyone is talking about the ESL and it will get column inches and not a whole back page. Clever by Levy.

Liverpool - TAA
City - Dias
Chelsea - Havertz
Leicester - Ndidi
Spurs - Kane.
14 Apr 2021 13:51:48
Is Ollie Watkins any better than Greenwood?
