After Wengers quotes I feel the deal is nearly done.

Alexis is a fantastic player. I remember being on the site years ago when he was still at Udinese and we were all hopefull of getting him then. Football porn was the term thrown around.

Money wise. couldn't give a toss. Like any business, if you head hunt someone from a rival you have to be prepared to pay. Sanchez is well within his rights to get the best deal for him and if United are happy to offer it, wheres the problem?

Yes he's 29. But he's fit as a fiddle. Works his balls off and can unlock any defence in the world.

Was I the only fan looking at the Alexis/ city deal a few months ago brimming with jelousy? I doubt it. I hated the feeling that one of the best players in the world was available and we hadnt been mentioned! If that kind of calibre of player is available we should be going for him. I would have been pissed if we never even made an enquiry. We did and now he's on his way.

Fans need to get over the money side of things. We try to educate ourselves but in reality, we have little understanding of how a club is run. Let alone one the size of united.

So sit back, keep checking your phone and wait for Alexis to be holding our number 7 shirt.

Any other teams fans knocking the deal is just jelous and rightly so.

Great post mate. Couldn't have put it better myself. If the club couldn't afford to get Sanchez and pay him, they wouldn't. Simple.

Ask yourselves this, would you rather have Sanchez or not? I know what I pick.

Totally agree James Mack. Just wish they would get the deal done and dusted. Saw the tweet Lingard put on regarding Sanchez medical . Wonder if he finds it funny losing his place in the team. Pillock.
I'll keep my mobile to hand waiting for the news of Sanchez. Data allowance allowing that is.

If we can swap Mkhitaryan for Sanchez that is unbelievably good business!

I'm unsure how to reply to an ed after they comment on my post as I'm new to this can anyone help? Also Ed002 thanks for the reply.

{Ed002's Note - Just hit "Reply to this post" or whatever it says under the post - that should work.}

Bit of advice, mate. If you're asking Ed002 a question, make sure you take a deep breath, and read your question through again before hitting the send button. And again. And probably again, just to make sure. If you choose to ignore this advice, make sure you don your armour, and particularly your iron cod-piece, and prepare to be kicked very strongly in the nads. Much to the merriment of your fellow posters, I might add :)

Eds, any chance Romero moves on in January to get game time? Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - It is unlikely but his agent and the player want out.}

This Sanchez deal is doing my nut in. can't we just pay Arsenal what they want and Sanchez too. i'm sure we have the funds to complete the deal. don't understand why we are relying on Miki going the other way. For the deal to happen.
Football used to be such a simple game.

Jose wants 22 players, so adding will go to 23.

Jose want Sanchez and wants miki gone as per Ed002 so no sense is paying if you can use a player the manager no longer wants.

loll. its the press here that try create stories. United and Arsenal probably love the attention they are getting from the press. I feel the deal is practically done just not announced to the public.

Wow rock it only first got mentioned on Friday, this is one of the shortest ‘transfer saga’s’ for a long time, I’m guessing you weren’t here when we were linked to Wesley Schneider? Nicolas Gaitan was coming for 5 windows as well, he signed about 4 times!

Sanchez one has come out of nowhere and likely to be sorted in a week, hardly too long.

18 Jan 2018 07:39:06
Aaahhh Wesley sneijder. I was really excited about is getting him. Where is he now, still in Turkey?

{Ed001's Note - didn't he just move to Qatar?}

18 Jan 2018 13:57:31
I still think Shnyder at his peak, would have been a brilliant signing for us. I'm a bit sad we never got to see him in a Utd shirt.

Ed is the Short Term Cost Control rule proving to be an issue with the Sanchez deal?

Is it true Ed that it’s just a case of Miki agreeing terms with arsenal?

{Ed002's Note - Not "just a case".}

16 Jan 2018 12:51:26
BBC reporting that neither us or arsenal will agree to the sanchez transfer unless miki goes the other way.

No idea how much truth is in this, especially given how Ed02's previously stated that transfers involving money and an additional player are generally unlikely.

Imo if that's what's needes to get sanchez in I'd be more than happy, but it doesn't fill me with confidence for this transfer to happen.

Believable0 2Unbelievable

16 Jan 2018 13:11:00
I can’t see it. I think miki will turn them down and it will go tits up.

Nice to see ronaldo saying he wants to leave madrid and rejoin, just as contracts are being discussed, can you imagine, one journo was mad enough to say he was using this to his advantage for more sheckles, as if!

Believable3 0Unbelievable

16 Jan 2018 02:01:11
I'd just love for the club to come out and say something like, "there is zero interest in signing Ronaldo - there hasn't been interest in quite some time. Hopefully Ronaldo and/ or his representatives will cease disrespected the club and supporters that have been pivotal and supportive throughout his career. "

There comes a point where enough is enough. Even when it isn't coming directly from him, the people behind him are forever trying to get MORE, pathetic!

16 Jan 2018 07:28:12
Why would we go out of our way to stop him blackmailing one of our biggest commercial rivals every time he wants more money? It has positive elements for us too, because we are included in in a massive international media story every time he does it.

Agree1 4Disagree

16 Jan 2018 08:43:42
With you on this Beast. Ronaldo on the decline now and not what we need unfortunately. Stillone the best players to wear a Utd shirt of recent times - bar Scholsey of course.

Sanchez on the other hand, if it happens and it’s not all an elaborate joke will be amazing.

Cant follow the figures though although I doubt any journo knows. The Indy saying Arsenal wanted Martial PLUS cash? and now its 30 million PLUS Miki? neither of those deals look good to me.

15 Jan 2018 22:54:54
I can't see Chelsea splashing the cash when there is an unknown with the manager. Probably going public to satisfy fans that they tried.

Replacement for Hazard is my guess. Hopefully just BS, but if they are in the mix it will be a problem for us I think - these foreigners seem to love London, I doubt they spend much time partying, learning the history and shops you can find anywhere - it's just convenience and the 'image'.

I genuinely don't see the draw in London for a professional footballer over other major cities in the UK.
