Spurs interested in Maguire.

Bagolego

{Ed077's Note - please be true, please, please, please

1.) 06 Jun 2023 15:28:42
Makeweight for Kane?

2.) 06 Jun 2023 15:55:34
I’d drive him to WHL myself.

3.) 06 jun 2023 16:04:55
please be true! postecoglou will be a legend if his first move is maguire.

4.) 06 Jun 2023 16:49:01
You'll be driving for a long time Fireman!
Dier and Maguire in the same team. possibly the most petrifying centre back pairing ever.
To be frank I can't remember the last time a manager outright said he wanted another player under contract so as fun as the speculation is that's all it ever is.

5.) 07 Jun 2023 00:33:20
A bold statement to drive through any London streets. Traffic will be terrible around there.

6.) 07 Jun 2023 09:47:57
Bold indeed - and maybe overly optimistic. Perhaps a more sensible plan would be to park in an outer zone and progress on the train.

7.) 07 Jun 2023 11:01:26
I think the full story is interest is for the lad Pete Maguire works at one of Uniteds hot dog stands - apparently quicker and better on the ball than Harry.

8.) 07 Jun 2023 11:35:42
You guys make me laugh and good humor gents. I do hope he moves on best for him and United.

9.) 07 Jun 2023 12:11:10
Announcing Maguire done deal to Spurs on CL final night will be very fitting. Extraordinary backup plan to overshadow City's treble winning celebration if they win the CL.

10.) 07 Jun 2023 18:50:37
If true it will improve two clubs in one move.

16 Aug 2022 14:08:45
apparently we're looking at Casemiro now.

Bagolego

1.) 16 Aug 2022 14:27:16
Yeah.

He's currently looking for his bottom, having lost it while laughing.

2.) 16 Aug 2022 16:46:40
He is on old legs the two french guys real bought this year and last window who are superb will be playing ahead of him. I hope we don't do another crazy deal with a guy coming more towards the end of his career than going into his prime.

3.) 16 Aug 2022 17:23:16
You would have to be stupid to join Utd now.

4.) 16 Aug 2022 17:31:09
Haha are people genuinely saying no? He’s better than all of our midfielders put together for the last 5 years. We’ve no chance of getting him.

5.) 16 Aug 2022 17:45:40
100% no. its the same bs we have been doing. get one decent season out of a guy towards the end of his career, pay stupid transfer fee and to make it worse wages off the chart and then unable to move then on. then listen to moaning by everyone how not good enough and club is incompetent and why are we not spending to buy more to replace him.

its a pattern and been going on for a while now.

6.) 16 Aug 2022 18:01:05
He’s better than all of our players, how do you know he will only be good for one more season? He’s 30 not 40.

7.) 16 Aug 2022 18:04:34
Much better than what we have.

8.) 16 Aug 2022 18:43:52
GDS2

He spent the majority of last season injured. He comes off the bench for them now. Real has bought their midfield for the next 7/ 8 years in those 2 French guys.

Father time catches up to all and he is not what he used to be. He is a physical player but in the pl he will find it a lot harder on older legs and lost step. just watch him next time he plays.

9.) 16 Aug 2022 21:20:04
Amazingly enough for a guy who spent most of last season injured he made 32 appearances in the league, 31 of which were starts and made 48 appearances overall.

10.) 16 Aug 2022 21:59:00
Bilko

He is 30/ 31 year old. Madrid are a waste of time to negotiate with. Will take a massive fee and the soap opera that comes with the player not wanting to leave, if it does happen, his wages on a 4 year contract will be astronomical for a club that has spend money like drunk sailors on the wrong players in terms of wages and contracts and seems unable to move them, so let's add another one to that list. Its rinse and repeat. If you think that's a good way to go, I guess we can disagree.

11.) 16 Aug 2022 22:23:49
He’s only 29/ 30 years old. Just add a year to back up your point.

12.) 17 Aug 2022 09:02:58
Gds

Born in 1992. Did not look at his exact birthday. You think its a good investment to pay 50/ 60 mill and 250k/ 300k a week min i reckon on a 29/ 30/ 31 years old. Total cost to the club with all the fees blah blah 120/ 140 mill.

Schweinsteiger, sancho, falcao, cavani, ronaldo, ibra, varane to name few, how has that worked for us in terms of trophies? Picking up players whose best days are behind them and their current clubs know it and only reason why they let them go. being the village idiots in the transfer market has been our achilles heel.

I don’t know about our current scouting/ recruitment strategy but quite clear whoever was running it in the past was not very good at it. Mcguire 80 mill, aws 50 mill, dvb 40 mill, fred 40/ 50 mill, martial 50 mill and i can go on and on.

We need a reset and rebuild with young talent with scouts who know what they are doing. When was the last time we bought a player and his value is much higher today. Just one player will do. Scary stuff.

I reckon unlike other teams the primary reason we can’t move any first team players unless their contracts are expiring is their wages.

Read dialo going on loan. We spent 35 mill if i recall on him a few years ago. 2/ 3 years later not even good enough to make this squad. Everyone has bad buy but we seem to miss on almost everything.

People who moan about our current issues and want a change. Well change starts with not continously repeating what clearly has not worked. If city or liverpool are the benchmark, do you see them buying 29/ 30/ 31 year olds as ther key trasfer window signing.

13.) 17 Aug 2022 10:04:16
GDS Just to be accurate he turns 31 next Feb.

14.) 17 Aug 2022 10:44:08
So just to be accurate you saw he was born in 1992 and decided to say he’s 30/ 31 for what reason?

15.) 17 Aug 2022 11:37:53
lol well he is 30 and going to be 31 in feb mate. Let give Madrid 60/ 70/ 80 million why not and give him 300k for 5 years, might as well.

looking like the team behind Tottenham's new stadium have been handed the responsibility of redeveloping Old Trafford. Revamp and south stand expansion most likely option as things stand. long overdue.

1.) 14 Apr 2022 16:07:25
Well, that's not necessarily a good thing, it wasn't very well run and went seriously over budget.

Although Levy was to blame for a lot of that.

2.) 14 Apr 2022 22:01:54
Over budget and poorly run, sounds like our kinda deal.

3.) 16 Apr 2022 09:39:10
If you’ve been to the new stadium at Spurs it can only be a good thing. It is truly awesome.

It's actually about time that we grew a spine against these clickbait merchants, in fact, its sending a very strong message to people leaking messages from inside the dressing room, that anyone you leak to will be ostracised and won't be entertained and we will cut that outlet you have chosen. I can guarantee you no journos will be printing stories to back a players agenda if it means they won't get any stories from the club. Brilliant move tbh.

It has been discussed that the Debt will be structured under Ineos and they are currently talking about how the 1.3bn will be invested into the club to extend OT to 90k capacity

I believe the big challenge in all this is the railway.

TBF we were being quoted 50 million pound for Sesko and he has now been sold to Leipzig for 24mil euros, understand we need reinforcements but being bent over a barrel is what got us in this mess.

I think it is down to the fact that Woodward's successor learned from his mistakes and probably doesn't want to be subjected to the same level of scrutiny.
