Let merrygoround begin Tottenham get bid accepted for dybala which in turn means they get money for lukaku hfully meaning we get Eriksson or fernandes. I'm not fussed which one comes both makes us a lot better.

Scottronaldo73

1.) 06 Aug 2019 20:25:45
I can't see dybala at spurs not with their pay structure.

2.) 06 Aug 2019 21:01:12
The wages was just excuses for him he never wanted to come to us.
I would imagine personal terms might have been talked about before bid went in I think this deal will happen.

3.) 06 Aug 2019 21:11:27
Kane's their highest paid player on 200k. Reportedly we offered Dybala 350k and he asked for more. can't see it happening myself.

4.) 06 Aug 2019 21:17:56
Well, that was awkward, If swapping Lukaku with Dybala, Dybala's price was 10-15m more than Lukaku's, but now Tottenham's accepted bid is 64m, so Lukaku's price is 50m?! And how can Tottenham pay what Dybala and his entourage wanted and United weren't prepared to pay that? Sky Italy nice job.

5.) 06 Aug 2019 21:38:52
Wasn't Dybala asking for more money as compensation for not playing in the Champions' League? And, it is not just this season, I don't think United can promise consistent UCL football in the coming years. Hence, we have got to pay more than other UCL clubs for elite level players.

6.) 06 Aug 2019 22:36:20
And Tottenham are a team that can promise consistent CL football? C'mon, they are doing good lately, but if you think Arsenal, Chelsea and United will just satisfy with a battle for the 4th place, because City, Lpool and Tottenham will be subscribed to top 3.I think Tottenham will struggle this season.

7.) 06 Aug 2019 23:58:16
There's a bit of an Argentinian connection building up at Tottenham; Lamela, Foyth, Gazzaniga, Poch. add to that Lo Celso if they sign him and then there would be Dybala.

8.) 07 Aug 2019 07:11:38
They have a bit of history with Argentinian’s 🤔.

9.) 07 Aug 2019 08:16:22
Messi incoming next year then?

very happy with the signing on DVDB good player with massive potential personally i would go for thiago aswell get rid of lingard mata and periera and bench pogba a midfield of thiago van de beek and bruno woukd be terrifying i just feel we need to hit the ground running to have any chance of winning the league this year so can't afford any passengers we don't need to play him now we have DVDB his energy levels are insane he is everywhere which IMO pogba just seems too lazy to me but what an impact player to bring on tho.

Scottronaldo73

1.) 31 Aug 2020 17:15:44
Come on, mate. If you think he's disinterested now, how do you think he'll feel at being an impact sub?

2.) 31 Aug 2020 18:00:25
football is a squad game mate no just 11 players if he throws his toys out the pram for being benched them get rid simple plenty other players who would gladly take his place i wiuld think.

3.) 31 Aug 2020 18:00:48
Win the league this year? I would be delighted if we finish 3rd next year with a trophy -I believe the next step is being regarded as a top 3-4 club again before a ball is kicked at the start of the next few seasons, in the way Lpool and City are today.

4.) 31 Aug 2020 18:25:06
just being a top 3 or 4 team is not an option when u play for man utd no the teams i grew up watching anyway number 1 is where we should be aiming for if the fans don't believe we can win the league what chance have the players and management team got.

5.) 31 Aug 2020 18:43:14
Scott,

We obviously all want to win the league but you have to be realistic otherwise you are never going to be happy.

6.) 31 Aug 2020 19:30:27
Football is all about opinions- before this season started I was looking for top 4 -and a trophy, for me that seemed realistic. Next season top 3, playing good attacking football, difficult to beat and being in the top 4 for all of the season. But I don't see us higher than top 3 and winning a trophy- hopefully single digits behind the winners. still don't know who we will sign of course but that would be progress - can't see us making up 30 points in one season.

7.) 31 Aug 2020 19:32:17
GDS correct me if i'm wrong but did not beat man city and chelsea home and away last seen took 4 points off tottenham drew with liverpool.
We fared very well against the top 6 teams it was the lesser teams were we dropped points because we cldnt break them down before we bought bruno and pogba came back from injury add van de beek into the mix and a new CB there's is no reason whatsoever why we shouldny be challenging for the title.

8.) 31 Aug 2020 22:38:52
Out of 10 matches against the top 6 opposition, United got 18 points. Only second time to Liverpool by I think 4 or 5 points and 5 more than City. Also goes to show that from the 28 matches against ‘lower’ opposition, we got 28 less points than Liverpool. Clearly, that’s making a difference that signing Donny and keeping Pogba is supposed to solve for.

9.) 31 Aug 2020 23:18:04
If we see defence midfield and attack as individuals then we have a defence not conceding too much, a midfieder which theoritically can dominate most matches and provide creativity and a front three with pace and goals between them. I know its not as simple as that but we must be believers. Sometime the difference between a good team and a top team is the faith, the belief. We have a settled team, young players which can only be better, a manager for second season, DVB and some other transfers. I don't say that we will lift the Premier but why completing is out of the question?

13 Feb 2020 13:22:50
I hope reports aren't true where we are reportedly willing to pay 60million for dembele
I stay in Glasgow and I would much rather we buy Eduard from celtic would cost half the price and is a much better footballer I've seen both he and dembele at length and hands down Eduard is much better who is only gonae get better.

Scottronaldo73

21 Jan 2020 13:20:29
On the striker situation i hearfans wanting Cavani Dembele Ramihrez Martinez etc who would all cost a lot of money especially in january
Theres 2 strikers in glasgow who could potentially be really top class in odsonne Eduardo of Celtic and Alfredo morelas of Rangers who we should at least be considering would be prob cost max 30 million for either I know we all want ready made worldies but sometimes u find some diamonds in the dirt and these are definitely that IMO.

Scottronaldo73

1.) 21 Jan 2020 13:50:00
Wouldn't go near Morelos.

2.) 21 Jan 2020 14:17:08
Scott given our record, we are most likely to just find dirt and we have enough of that as it is.

3.) 21 Jan 2020 18:04:49
Morelos is a ticking timebomb every time he's on the pitch.

4.) 21 Jan 2020 22:56:03
Morelos is a class act. Errr not. But he Is a good striker and has passion. Whether he is good enough for the Premier league or would track back enough is open to debate.

04 Aug 2019 00:12:45
Ashley young captain I'm all for giving OLE a chance but what is going on does this mean he's in the first 11 surely not if he is were done.

Scottronaldo73

1.) 04 Aug 2019 01:30:26
🤦🏼‍♂️ No it just means he is a long serving player and a model professional who has never complained and worked hard even through some ‘fans’ slagging him off at every opportunity. He’s changed his position for the team and I have never heard a bad word said about him from within the club.

You’re all for giving Ole a chance but slag off everything he does, DQOTD effort very early.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 06:54:55
I am a little surprised to hear moaning about Ashley Young as club captain. Club captain and on field captain are two different things and generally Club Captains are always longer serving at club and model professional players to set an example.

3.) 04 Aug 2019 07:15:01
I have no problem with Young as club captain, excellent professional who can guide the younger players at the beginning of their careers. I suspect Dave will be the on field captain for the majority of the season.

4.) 04 Aug 2019 08:01:03
Scott when I scroll down the pages here and see your posts I instantly know it's going to be a negative post. Lighten up man, Young is one of our longest serving players and is a voice in the dressing room. He has a wealth of experience and despite his best playing days being behind him will still lead by example and give 100% whenever he is call upon. He won't start many, if any of the big games and will get game time in Europe and the cups. We have a team filled with young talent, when you have that it's imperative there are old heads about the place. As I said regardless of skill set, the young lads will look up to him which can only help.

I cannot wait for the season to start, life just isn't the same without United in it!

5.) 04 Aug 2019 10:26:41
The last 3 club captains have been Giggs, Carrick and Valencia. Hardly regulars were they. He's not going to be starting infront of AWB or Shaw. Its an honorary position nowadays. He'll be in charge of sorting social events out.

22 Jul 2019 18:30:28
So Harry Maguire is still training with Leicester and Bruno Fernandez is going on tour to Americawhere he will play against liverpool so much for these deals being close to completion I have to say we have the most inept CEO In whole of football.

I can predict what's gonae happen with these 2 deals because of Woodward amateurish and penny pinching when it comes to getting deals over the line.

Man City are going to come in and take Maguire at the last minute and
Liverpool will get Fernandes after he has a world against them he's already said he would go to Liverpool anyway it's happened time and time again with us too slow to get deals don. e.

Scottronaldo73

1.) 22 Jul 2019 18:36:38
Congratulations, you win Drama Queen of the Day.

2.) 22 Jul 2019 18:48:44
Drama queen of the day. AJH, you could've just started something 😂.

3.) 22 Jul 2019 18:51:43
Scott you might not be too far wrong,
Like the time we were after bale and kroos and ended up with fellanni.

4.) 22 Jul 2019 18:53:44
Its reminds me of the kids in the car when you take them on holiday constantly asking, are we there yet?

5.) 22 Jul 2019 19:07:27
Ffs Maguire will be playing for us by the time the season starts and maybe Fernandes will too! You should support the club not the transfer window.

6.) 22 Jul 2019 19:21:20
Deano I do support the club but surely it can't be asking too much too get these 2 deals done we need both these players badly there the difference between top 4 and top 6 IMO.

7.) 22 Jul 2019 19:41:40
ScottRonaldo73, what makes you think we are not trying to sign both players? How about Maguire wants to go to City? Maybe Bruno fancies playing for the Champions League Winners and second to a great City in the league? Why would either come to United if the Premiership winners want one and the Champions League winners want the other Apart from inflated wages what do we offer? History? That's about it now, we have no world class manager, seemingly two of our best players want out. I am United through and through, spent a fortune on following them home and away. These players have no loyalty, they follow the money. Look what money has done to football, Bury are close to going under, Bolton have one player left on their books. We pay Sanchez £500,000 a week and local clubs are going under. Stop moaning about transfers and just support your club, one day it may not exist.

8.) 22 Jul 2019 19:44:30
Scott,

Not asking much no, only £80m each, I’d rather the club took their time over such an expensive important deal rather than just pay whatever so some drama queen on the internet doesn’t slag them off.

9.) 22 Jul 2019 20:00:23
Scott there's a lot of posters on here who think they know it all,
What did ole say the last few games we played, he said some of these players may never again play for united, there will be players coming in before the 1st of July, we will get our business done early.
Now what that tells you is he is a yes man, and to be fair Woodward wouldn't fill anyone in confidence about transfers and contracts, not even football, and as for the money men in America.
So to be fair to you at this moment in time it's a fair post.

10.) 22 Jul 2019 20:09:22
I don't care how much they cost its no my money or yours GDS2 I only care about getting the best squad possible for the upcoming season what happens if we don't get them and end up with smalling and Jones and Mata as our creative spark will not be enough and this site will go into meltdown.

11.) 22 Jul 2019 20:53:36
Do you think that the selling clubs tell their players to stay at home when another club makes an enquiry for them?

Or do you think that players continue to train with their clubs and nothing changes until said player’s valuation is met and a deal is agreed?

Which one sounds logical to you?

Great reply btw AJH 😂.

12.) 22 Jul 2019 20:58:41
Scottronaldo73,

If Leicester wanted £200;million, would you pay that?

13.) 22 Jul 2019 21:01:40
How is he a yes man? He said what he wanted. He's been let down by the incompetent above him. Who let down the last two as well.

14.) 22 Jul 2019 21:53:13
We missed a trick not going for VVD.

15.) 22 Jul 2019 21:50:01
Spot on mort.

16.) 22 Jul 2019 21:50:41
Oh no our creative spark will only be mata. the premier leagues player of the season twice 🤔🤔🤔.

17.) 22 Jul 2019 21:59:14
He is a yes man and will do what he is told, he should have never got the job on sentimental reasons, oh but wait he bought back the smiles,
He is out of his league, look at his last job in England, where did Cardiff end up, he left them in September when they went on a bad run in the championship.
For Me and I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks, he should have never got the job.
Now I hope he proves me wrong but I doubt it.

18.) 22 Jul 2019 23:25:55
Whilst I don't disagree they would improve the squad, maybe the starting 11, can't help but be frustrated with the lack of patience shown by some of you. Just support the team, signings or not.

How about if they come in, 80mil a piece and then tank a la Di Maria, depay, sanchez and I could name many more. The same fans would be on here bitching and moaning at the waste of 160mil. Woodward out will be the cry., just like it is when he doesn't get them over the line.

Point being just chill out. You never know with Chelsea and arsenal not improving at all, potentially getting worse top 4 could be realistic with what we have.

19.) 23 Jul 2019 07:54:00
As Ed002 said, there is plenty of time in the market.

20.) 23 Jul 2019 09:58:30
Leahy, ever consider that such comments may be the 'kickstart' some of these players needed?

Cheshire what a very insightful post it makes a lot of sense i just hope ole can get ruthless and can turn this around because i believe in his process i don't see the point and haven't to start from scratch again with a new manager.

The smart thimg to do now is sell james to leeds recoup some of our money and buy stevamovic I've not seem much of him but what i have he looks like he could be a steal he looks very technocally gifted unlike james and can play om the left so can cover rashford.

I think this is a clever move i really do we needed another striker and u don't get much better than Cavani on a free if he's half the player he used to be then that's still miles better than ighalo.
I think its more important we get telles shaws not good enough and is always injured too and offers nothing going forward same as AWB on the other side so i would shift williams to RB play him and telles on either side would give us a whole new dimension as our full backs are too defensive for my likig at the moment.

i agree with MDB i would see the point if we had no one to replace him with but we've got the perfect player in VDB i feel this is when we find out if oles got the balls and tactically atsute enough for this job he needs to drop pogba shaw and wan bissaka they have been abysmal since season started and replace them with telles van de beek and move williams to right back

Another thing why did we not go for partey aswell getting him for 45 is the steal of the window for me he's exactly what we were crying out for it sickens me.
