I'm seeing rumours that Romero is joining Aston Villa. Any truth in it Ed's? It wouldn't surprise me as he's now 3rd choice and deserves much better than that.

{Ed002's Note - This has been dealt with before, Aston Villa are very keen.}

1.) 02 Sep 2020 20:12:33
There are rumours linking Sergio with a move to Everton as well. I don't think we will be able to keep all of De Gea, Henderson and Romero happy so a move where he is first choice will be good for him I would say.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 18:21:15
Surprised Dortmund weren't interested in Sergio, thought they were looking for some decent competition for Burki.

27 May 2020 20:58:47
Hello Ed's,

Has the club shown any interest in Berardi? Also who are the back up targets incase the Sancho deal doesn't materialise. I think if he wants to play elsewhere then we should walk away from the deal. As you have already told us the fee with everything attached to it will be astronomical and could be a big mistake.

Thanks a lot and take care 👍.

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest in Domenico Berardi.

Ferran Torres (RW/LW) considered as a potential Jadon Sancho replacement but likely priced out of a move to Borussia Dortmund - will end up at Real Madrid or Barcelona in all probability at some point. But, if Salah were to depart Liverpool he could well become an option for them but for now that is not the case. The player has made no secret of his desire to join Barcelona at some point. Valencia have a replacement lined up but the €100M asking price would need to drop to make a transfer anywhere viable this summer. Juventus has enquired after his availability but would need to make sales to fund a move. A third party has suggested to Manchester United that Ferran Torres would be a better option to Jadon Sancho as the deal would be far, far cheaper for them.
Federico Chiesa (RW/F) much more affordable than Sancho but Inter remain keen although talks are now on hold. Fiorentina are willing to sell in the summer.
Isaac Lihadji (RW) Not be interested in joining MU and moving elsewhere.

1.) 27 May 2020 21:58:30
Thanks very much for your reply Ed.
Has there been further developments regarding Sanchez? Will the club give him a chance or are they looking for a club to take him.

{Ed002's Note - The club are desparate to get him off the books because of his wages - and he is no kiddie now. They will offer him about but finding takers might be very difficult.}

2.) 27 May 2020 22:41:38
Yeah I thought as much Ed. I heard a ridiculous rumour that we had offered Sanchez in a potential deal for Sancho. I can't see them being interested in that one bit. I think we will really struggle to get him to another club. There's obviously been no interest in him I take it by your response.

3.) 28 May 2020 15:54:44
Could sanchez be used as a back up to martial if the ighalo deal is unable to be completed.

Ideally would like to see him move on but we've got a need for a backup striker and he has played there before.

4.) 28 May 2020 16:24:38
£400k a week is not what you want to pay back ups I guess DSG.

5.) 28 May 2020 21:51:16
Pretty sure he's paid around 100K.

6.) 30 May 2020 08:45:27
Pretty sure he’s not.

30 Jul 2019 01:32:31
Di marzio reporting that Juventus would accept 20/ 30 million euros plus Lukaku for Dybala 🤔. What's everyone making of that?

1.) 30 Jul 2019 05:24:43
The fact that we would prefer Costs AND we would have to convince (offer stupid money) Dybala to move to United means I don’t think it will happen.

2.) 30 Jul 2019 06:38:36
Is he not saying utd are pushing for Dybala and everything now will be down to him to make the swap happen?

Dybala with all the talents has still not sure if fits in well.

3.) 30 Jul 2019 06:51:39
I've seen figures of Dybala wanting 175k a week. Whether that's true or not I don't know.

4.) 30 Jul 2019 07:38:17
I thought we don't do swaps .
I really can't make my mind up on dybala, talented lad but very up and down form wise I'm just not sure his style suits the epl .

5.) 30 Jul 2019 07:56:33
Hope we have a plan for Dybala.
Otherwise we shouldn't recruit just for the sake of signing.

However, he is a top player with his peak years ahead.
A player capable of producing magic and making something out of nothing.

6.) 30 Jul 2019 07:56:42
*Costa sorry.

7.) 30 Jul 2019 08:22:22
If he wants to come I'm all for it but don't want another di Maria situation on our hands where he's coming just for money.
Stay well clear if that's the situation.

8.) 30 Jul 2019 09:28:25
The worry is does Dybala want to play for United? By all accounts he want's to stay in Turin and fight for his place. This stinks of the Angel Di Maria situation again. We are making the same stupid mistakes again.

9.) 30 Jul 2019 11:47:35
As a player why would you want to continue at a club that obviously doesn't want him.

If that was me and I was getting offered to another club in my mind I'm not wanted.

10.) 30 Jul 2019 12:31:08
Is he the same Dybala who scored only 4 goals last term and was benched most of the time as his defensive contribution was minimal? He is not a right winger for sure and we usually don't play with a #10, and if we were to play with a #10 i would prefer Mata to play there.

11.) 30 Jul 2019 12:42:46
Mata's too slow these days. We only kept him on because we lack experience. Dybala had a poor season because he was pushed out to accommodate one of the best players of all time and the best player currently playing the game.

12.) 30 Jul 2019 12:54:07
Why would he go for Dybala and Bruno Fernandes?

13.) 30 Jul 2019 21:59:55
Not sure about Dybala, especially if Ole expects him to press. Not to mention that he looks a bit too frail at times.
Re: Bruno, I can see him being comfortable in the Mata role or else in a 4 4 2 diamond.

06 Jul 2019 21:35:14
Have we made an offer for Milinkovic-Savic Ed's? Or is it nonsense. Thank you 👍.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offer.}

25 Jun 2019 00:06:36
I have seen rumours circulating that Bruno Fernandes will not be joining United and will be joining Liverpool instead. Obviously don't know if there's any truth behind it but it will be a blow considering he's been on the verge of joining us for weeks if you listen to the media.

1.) 25 Jun 2019 12:29:48
I think the lesson here is to not listen to the media, we will sign a few players, hopefully ones that we want, all the guff you read in papers and on Twitter is exactly that, people filling pages.

2.) 25 Jun 2019 17:09:03
He would be a great signing for Liverpool. He’s just what their side is missing. If they aren’t trying for him, they should be. It’s a frustrating window so far, trying to stay positive.

3.) 26 Jun 2019 06:58:00
Total agree it is frustrating and drives me mad!
Like a drug you can not control and you look for that signing to feed the addiction
When you see other clubs signing players and we don't!
But we know that that glimmer of hope we sign that star player to bring the club forward!

Who's idea was it to bring Ole in Ed's? Was fergie the driving force behind it?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - It is not someone you would know.}

1.) 05 Feb 2020 19:10:42
Nope, it was mine and GDS's idea. We made a proposal to the board with our "vision" of a bright future with a manager who's greatest managerial achievement was scoring a goal and doing his knees in celebrating it.

Me and GDS are kind of a big deal behind the scenes at United. But if you guys keep pushing for Ole to get sacked we're going to look pretty stupid.

2.) 05 Feb 2020 20:14:44
Oh dear 🤦‍♂️😂😂.

3.) 05 Feb 2020 20:17:50

4.) 05 Feb 2020 20:23:56
Lolll 😂😂 I don't think the original poster was aiming at anyone in particular but he was rather questioning the setup at United.

5.) 05 Feb 2020 20:47:24
Exactly Singh you are correct.

I'm a little concerned for Shappy's well being at the moment with that crazy outburst 😂😂😂.

6.) 05 Feb 2020 23:10:36
"But if you guys keep pushing for Ole to get sacked we're going to look pretty stupid. "
Already do.

7.) 05 Feb 2020 23:43:24
It was funny as hell.

8.) 06 Feb 2020 11:29:00
Haha Shappy 😂 classic.

28 Jan 2020 16:24:35
Calm down people sly have been more wrong than anyone on incomings at United this window. Now they have actually reported this about Barcelona I am more confident than ever we will sign him. They've got it completely wrong on the Fernandes deal saying it was all but done they chat a lot of nonsense. Got to ask yourself but the deal for Barcelona means loaning him out for 18 months he's 25 years old it seems a bit strange to do a deal like that to sign another player? I'm not convinced and think we will push on with a deal as this will give us a kick up the arse.

1.) 28 Jan 2020 17:34:08
Sure Valencia in talks with Alcacer return on loan.

Selling Rodrigo and getting Fernando's would be great business for Valencia.

Then Barcelona get a 27 year old who is already equipped to play on league once loan finished.

2.) 28 Jan 2020 18:13:15
Forget Fernandes what is our manager playing at?!

Mutiny is knocking at the door. Protests are planned for the weekend. We have a mountain to climb tomorrow night and Ole finally unveils his master plan.
Alexis Sanchez!

3.) 28 Jan 2020 19:52:49
I would say my predictions are not looking a bad shout at the moment. I could smell a rat straight away with the deal with Barcelona. Didn't sound realistic but here's hoping and let's finally have something to be happy about after all the doom and gloom.

4.) 28 Jan 2020 20:13:31
That's why I have serious issues with sky sports news being a sports news broadcaster and also a betting company.
Wonder how much was lumped on Bruno to barca.

5.) 28 Jan 2020 21:03:55
Just ignore them. And every other, 'in the know' source. Transfers will happen whether fans stamp their feet or not. I understand we live in a world where people demand instant and constant updates. Personally, I don't feel the need to have a blow by blow account of every possible detail of every possible transfer. When they happen, they happen.

6.) 28 Jan 2020 21:09:48
Exactly I checked the odds and we drifted to 5/ 2 with Barcelona clear favourites at 5/ 4. A couple of hours later then Barcelona are out to 8/ 1 and we are 1/ 16 on. I felt confident as soon as Sky broke the news of barcelona being in talks.

07 Jan 2020 18:46:27
Is it true Ed's that Lingard is available for transfer and is being offered to clubs?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure if he is available but he has made it clear that he wants out and has been offered to at least one side.}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 19:04:14
Wow he wants out? I'm surprised by this ed002. Do you know the reason (s) why?

{Ed002's Note - I imagine he realises it is an amateur set up and he has no viable future - he wants a step up.}

2.) 07 Jan 2020 19:20:26
Hahaha step up, he’s got no goals and assists in 12 months, off you go Jesse.

3.) 07 Jan 2020 19:21:57
The latest bluffers on the block, on your bike Jesse, you will be lucky if any team above championship level comes in 4 u.

4.) 07 Jan 2020 19:41:59

Messi Lingard outbound on a loan to buy!

I can imagine Italy appealing to him.

Utter rubbish of a player these days.

5.) 07 Jan 2020 19:42:39
Step up 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

6.) 07 Jan 2020 19:53:25
Lingard hasn’t played particularly well in the last 12 months but is that him, the team around him or the tactics he is playing in, prior to that he won the FA cup with a great volley, played for England in a World Cup semi. However, when Ed says it as it is, that he wants out of an amateur set up, for me coaching staff upwards now it’s off you go. Arrogance and denial of the mess we are in, hyped into believing OGS is the messiah. What a mess.

Do I think Lingard is great, no, probably not, but waving him out the door is a bit crass.

7.) 07 Jan 2020 19:59:13
Hardly surprising, out of our current squad he is the player closest to Pogba who himself wants to leave.

I think he might surprise a few if he leaves. Never going to be world class, but a very good player in the right set up.

Both LvG and Mourinho held Lingard in high regard and as an important part of the their squad. They might not have ultimately been successfully with the club but neither are stupid and know more about football than all of us combined.

8.) 07 Jan 2020 20:38:56
Can you tell us the club he has been offered to ed002 please?

{Ed002's Note - Milan.}

9.) 07 Jan 2020 20:52:47
In all fairness to him, he’s probably looking at the like of Smalling and Lukaku who are obviously out in Italy enjoying their football and fancies it himself. You can’t blame the guy, 0 goals and assists or not.
I’m not his biggest fan but as Shappy says, he’ll probably do alright given a chance in a team that plays decent football.

10.) 07 Jan 2020 20:53:52
Rashford will be next if we carry on with this current rubbish show that is Solskjaer, McKenna, Carrick and Phelan.

11.) 07 Jan 2020 21:39:10
I agree shappy. Tidy player having a bad time. Shame on GDS' comment 'off you go'.

GDS, I think ed is referring to a step up in set up not in the stature of the club, there are very few that can beat us there. But there's obviously a lot that has gone on and it seems many of the players are fed up. Most definitely an amateur set up at the moment. Also the way some fans treat him with comments like yours, don't blame him really.

I like Jesse a lot, always have. He's had a bad year but I think he is a good player, particularly in the right set up.

12.) 07 Jan 2020 22:13:20
Jesse welcome in the squad as far as I'm concerned.
Shocked at gds. Not his usual attitude tbh.

13.) 07 Jan 2020 22:26:03
It’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for Ole that Lingard wants out. Didn’t Ole mention him as being one of the players that represent the clubs true character?

The problems are getting deeper as consequence to them not sorting things out last summer. Pogba will influence the squad until he’s out. We need better characters in the squad at a much faster rate than 3 players a season.

Watching the match tonight, I do question what our coaches are telling Lingard. He seems content at passing the ball back to our defence each time he gets the ball. Is no one telling him to have some courage and looking for a forward pass?

14.) 07 Jan 2020 22:29:09
I'm shocked at the faux outrage at GDS's comment.

{Ed047's Note - I’m shocked that your shocked Nou 😂

15.) 07 Jan 2020 22:39:03
Less of your faux outrage, Ed047!

{Ed047's Note - 🤣🤣ok ok!

16.) 07 Jan 2020 22:39:10
i am not shocked he's dead right.

17.) 07 Jan 2020 22:43:52
Outrage? Nothing like a bit of hyberbole Stephen. Has your wee lad an opinion on it?

18.) 07 Jan 2020 23:00:23
I just have to laugh, Kenneth. All the snide, bitchy comments on the live chat about posters who weren't on it, every man and his dog telling us on here for ages how rubbish a player Jesse is, and someone who has constantly belittled Ole since day one accusing someone else of being crass. And yet they're shocked at a comment from GDS. By the way, I think saying you're 'shocked' is a bit hyperbolic as well.

19.) 07 Jan 2020 23:18:09
I have a friend who is in a senior position at Milan. I don't know whether to warn him about Lingard or encourage him that they should buy him.

20.) 07 Jan 2020 23:21:11
Not shocked nou but just a shame. Always liked Jesse and think he's always been a good player for us. Just not having a great time of it.

21.) 07 Jan 2020 23:42:52
I appreciate you like him angelred but the man has averaged 4 goals and 2 assists in the last 5 seasons. If you can’t see that’s part of the reason we are crap then there is no hope!

22.) 07 Jan 2020 23:48:29
I've never had an issue with him, Angel. Thought his social media stuff was a bit silly, but that's probably just my age.

Think he's in that group of players that you had high hopes for, hoped would really kick on, but never really has.

I still think he'd be a good squad player, but I wouldn't be busting a gut to keep anyone who wants out, especially when they haven't got the performances in the bank as collateral.

23.) 07 Jan 2020 23:56:25
I think the worrying question is why these guys want out? Particularly a young homegrown lad like Lingard?

24.) 08 Jan 2020 00:08:33
Young? Is that not the running joke on here about Jesse? :)

25.) 08 Jan 2020 00:16:53
he wants out because in a bad side he is now being found out for how bad he is.

26.) 08 Jan 2020 00:12:24
Simply not had the end product required. He probably needs a new start to kick on a bit. Maybe it will work for him, but Ole has given him more rope than some might have.

If you play creative midfield and your best attribute (lately) is running out of the way to leave space for other more productive players then there is a problem.

Not sure if some of his home life has been affecting him. He has always come across as a Trier, I'm not bothered about what he does on Instagram as long as he performs on the pitch.

27.) 08 Jan 2020 04:23:52
A tidy player, a very good player in right setup, did i just travel to an alternate universe or something?

We are talking about jesse lingard, a guy who hasn't scored or assisted as a no 10 for an entire year, do people understand how bad you have to be to not score or assist for an entire year. Bernardo silva has more goals at OT in his last 2 games here than lingard has in last 2 seasons.

He is a championship player at best, he wants to leave, good riddance. Burning the 100k we give him a week would be more productive than giving it to him. That's how awful he is.

This whole nonsense about a good setup, there isn't one, he got lucky for a few months under jose. He is a headless chicken who runs around a lot, but outside of that he is nothing, he has a first touch that makes lukaku's look great, his passing makes smalling look like iniesta, someone compared him to park, utter bs, he is a coward, watch how he plays, see how many times he actually makes a tackle when the player's infront of him or how many times gets into a 50-50 ball winning situation. In attack his so called running is a myth, he 9/ 10 hides in attack getting in between 2-3 opposition player making sure that getting him involved in attack is nearly impossible. He is the biggest fraud in football and giving him that contract is one of woodward's biggest which would take some doing given Woodward's decision making.

28.) 08 Jan 2020 06:27:11
Lingard is 27, he should be one of the players taking a lead role in fixing this mess but he disappears. It smacks of a player not prepared to put the hard yards in and looking for a way out, and if he has been getting some stick from Ole then maybe he thinks he’s better than he is.

Lingard has had constant stock on here so the reaction tonGDS’s post is laughable. If anyone wants to leave then my vie is also off you go.

29.) 08 Jan 2020 08:21:27
Lingard will be one season in Milan then Bournemouth on a loan to buy, finished at 31.

At Kieran Richardson could play a few positions.

30.) 08 Jan 2020 08:22:13
So it's all the players fault? I see now AJH, forgive me. I thought it might have something to do with the way the club has been acting over the last few years and that some of the players like Jesse are fed up.

But no, it's all the players fault and they should fight this cause no matter what way the club and team is being ran.

31.) 08 Jan 2020 08:35:49
Lol, yes nou :) but seriously, there does seem to be a quite a few that want out now.

Or should they bang their chests, kiss the badge and no matter what stay, fight and fix this mess haha. It sounds good from a fans perspective but in reality doesn't work like that.

Something seems really wrong at the club at the minute.

32.) 08 Jan 2020 23:02:49
angel you get the right to be fed up with how club is run only if you aren't one of the biggest beneficiaries of the club's ineptitude. Lingard wouldn't last more than a season in the utd first team had he played under fergie let alone get a bumper contract. There is no club on this planet who is going to offer the money we pay him currently, however good rioala is.

02 Jan 2020 11:57:38
Very poor result and performance last night. Crazy how slow the play was from us with absolutely no penetration what so ever. I've backed Ole but the line up really cheesed me off. Williams has an excellent game against Burnley and offers us an attacking sense going forward plus he's quick to get back defensively. Luke shaw's allover the place he cannot defend and doesn't attack full backs just what does he give us? Sod all that's what he gives us. Also Pereira was lively when he came on last night and played well away to Burnley then somehow lingard gets a start last night? What has he done to get in the team.

There is no doubt we need players but Ole made two glaring mistakes last night. Lingard wouldn't even get in Aston Villa's team he would probably struggle to get in any team in the league if I'm being honest. I wouldn't pick Shaw again either as Ashley Young offers us much more. A lot of confidence in Ole died last night we haven't won over 2 games in a row this season is quite frankly ridiculous. If you had told me in 2013 when we won the title that in 7 years time we would be 24 points behind the league leaders who would also have two games in hand I would have laughed my head off. We need players but things need to improve and fast or things could get ugly and it would be such a shame for Solskjaer for it all to end in such a way.

1.) 02 Jan 2020 12:29:56
we need to stop playing with 2 cdms this 4 2 3 1 formation does not suit the team.

2.) 02 Jan 2020 12:43:50
I agree with you there bolger I must say. Same system all season though isn't it.

3.) 02 Jan 2020 12:58:57
So please tell me what else we played with in midfield yesterday. I don't really understand how you fit martial rashford and james/ greenwood into a team, you can't play rash and James/ greenwood as wingers in a 442, who else do we start other than matic and Fred yesterday, maybe pereira in for Jesse but if Pereirra had an off day people would be out for him as usual too. our squad is not good enough.

4.) 02 Jan 2020 13:10:53
But ya know what, then these same players go out and beat city and spurs in 3 days and the only team to take points of liverpool so who knows maybe I'm really wrong and they should just sack Ole and try again but I really don't want that to happen, not because of my love for Ole, but because I genuinely feel it is the best thing to do for the club.

5.) 02 Jan 2020 13:11:03
It's not that 4 2 3 1 doesn't suit the team.

More to the point, we have too many players that don't suit football.

6.) 02 Jan 2020 13:14:58
Keep the same team as Burnley. Why was there any need to change it? If he had an off day? U are talking nonsense now. Pereira and Williams both had very good games and then they are dropped. 1 change can make all the difference let alone two. I already said our squad is short but pick the form players and not players who offer us absolutely nothing.

7.) 02 Jan 2020 13:18:20
The only way I can reckon Williams didn't start last night is because the lad is 18 years old, fb is possibly the most difficult position on the pitch and maybe its taking its toll on him training and players senior matches, I was no professional but played rugby and when I was 18 playing for the seniors it would take me way longer to recover than the senior players.
I fully agree with your sentiment however that Williams is the future and Luke Shaw is the past.

8.) 02 Jan 2020 13:50:15
I agree Damon, I would have started Pereirra over Lingard cause he's in better form however I'm just saying Andrea's has underperformed in games a lot this season so it may not have made too much of a difference and if he did indeed underperform you can bet there would be posts today saying he should not be in the team. In my opinion neither are good enough.

9.) 02 Jan 2020 14:02:33
I don't like slagging our own players off but with Luke Shaw if we are all being honest then other than a month or two in 2015 before his injury he's been a shocking signing. Ashley Young even though he isn't everyone's cup of tea gives everything each time he puts on the red shirt. You cannot say the same for shaw. Maybe the injury took all the action out of him but he doesn't take players on or anything now. Runs forward stops then passes it back he does the same thing every single time.

10.) 02 Jan 2020 15:05:02
we don't have any natural wingers, we keep playing our strikers out wide, ole bangs on about how good of a finisher greenwood is but plays him out wide

we are best suited with the team we have to play our full backs as wingers in a 3 5 2 or 3 4 1 2.

until we have actual wingers who can cross a ball it is useless playing with the set up the way we do.

and because we don't have the quality in the middle to control games we get out ran.

thats just my opinion, this 4 3 3 and 4 2 3 1 crap just doesn't work.

11.) 02 Jan 2020 20:54:26
daniel james is a winger.

12.) 02 Jan 2020 23:41:54
Shaw was excellent against city. Big game. First game back and he played very well. Lingard did well in terms of making space for others and leading the press.

Lots of games in a short space of time, he probably felt he needed to freshen it up. He thought these two guys would give him a similar performance at Arsenal away. It didn't work!

Everyone blaming Ole again I see but it seems because De Gea had a few good seasons it completely excuses how poor he's been the last 18 months. The guy is totally hopeless at commanding his area. The wins against spurs and city have been completely undone now by two poor results in succession. I don't think you can blame Ole for 3 individual errors leading to goals in last two games. What has annoyed me though is how Shaw has come back in the team? I'd have Williams before him and even Young. He offers nothing going forward and is poor defensively plus is positioning is rubbish too hence the reason he picks up silly yellow cards all the time. I'd be looking to move him on sooner rather than later.

1.) 22 Dec 2019 17:22:44
Totally agree i would move both flappy de Gea and Mr stay puft on.

2.) 22 Dec 2019 17:32:55
Damon who picks the team? Shaw is starting because ole picked, lingard keeps getting picked because ole picks him. And these games aren't something out of the blue, we have taken 10 of possible 30 points vs bottom half teams, so it's clearly isn't a case of individual errors.

3.) 22 Dec 2019 17:37:53
Then you bloody can't credit 2 moments of individual brilliance in our victories on Ole's lap. He is as useless as a wrong sized shoe in your wardrobe.

4.) 22 Dec 2019 17:41:01
Damon we can all agree we have an average team.

But ole has to take blame for continuing to play lingard and his substitutions again we totally wrong.

5.) 22 Dec 2019 18:50:54
Who does he play there instead of lingard? Both Mata and Pereira have also contributed nothing in that position.

6.) 22 Dec 2019 19:02:21
Exactly Mort lol!

7.) 22 Dec 2019 20:08:42
Why do we need to play 4 2 3 1?

Play 4 4 2 or 4 2 2 2

There are many formations we can play that wpuod suit the players we have yet lingard who offers nothing keeps on playing.

8.) 22 Dec 2019 21:00:33
Damon and Mort, you don't want shaw back in the team, but you totally back Solskjaer?! So who decided that Shaw should come back straight into the team? Is it not the person you're refusing to blame?

9.) 22 Dec 2019 21:02:32
Oh yeah? What's wrong with giving Gomes a chance? Or shall we just let him go to Barcelona on a free instead? Maybe just maybe, solskjaer is clueless.

10.) 22 Dec 2019 21:13:03
We didn't lose this game due to a goal keeping error. We lost because we couldn't out score and absolutely useless team with a good of minus twenty-one. Yeah, that's right, minus God dam twenty one. I had to use words instead of numbers to demonstrate quite how bad that team is.

Our team is a lot, and I really mean a lot, lot better than Watford.

It's the manager and his tactics. I started to believe again when we beat spurs and City, but it's not the players, despite the glaring weaknesses in this squad, it's the manager and his tactics.

11.) 22 Dec 2019 21:21:27
Totally right Red. But people are still blaming everyone including Corbyn and Johnson before allowing any bad word to be said against Solskjaer.

12.) 22 Dec 2019 21:41:17
It's obviously Solskjaer's fault for shaw being in the team as he's the manager. De gea hitting balls into his chops then into the net isn't his fault though or lingard missing an absolute sitter. De gea needs a run out of the team he's been poor now for a long time. He was even poor at Euro 2018 and has lost his place to Arrizabalaga.

13.) 22 Dec 2019 22:06:58
World cup 2018 I mean guys. My apologies 😂.

14.) 22 Dec 2019 22:13:34
That may be so Damon, but missing one sitter is irrelevant. We should be putting 4 past the likes of Watford.

We're playing 2 dms against a poor team. The argument put forth is that we don't have a good enough no 10 and if we did we'd be fine. And they're right we don't have a good enough no 10 to unlock deep lying defences, so stop playing a system that relies on a quality no 10!

And that's why I blame Ole.

15.) 23 Dec 2019 00:09:09
Yet the same manager beat Spurs and City.

So shows it isn't all on the manager or the players when we play well or play badly.

16.) 23 Dec 2019 00:18:26
Watch the game back RedD we had 4 huge chances to score at least. Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood, Pogba all had golden opportunities to score. We can't blame Solskjaer for missed opportunities and bad mistakes from de gea and wan bissaka. We had 17 shots today with 8 being on target. That tells me clearly the tactics weren't the problem today.

17.) 23 Dec 2019 01:55:28
Mort the fact that we have beaten Chelsea, Tottenham, City etc shows it's the manager's fault and not the players.

When facing a good side we seem to have a plan but against the bottom clubs we are clueless, lingard's stupid headless chicken approach is good against big teams is a big minus in games like yesterday. A good manager would adapt change tactics try something different.

What ole's done is he's picked lingard, then when lingard's done poorly for 3-4 games he picks Pereira, and then again picked lingard once Pereira flopped. Why not change formation, try something different. Put james at 10, start Greenwood or young. Sadly ole's a mediocre one trick pony manager. It's time people accept the fact.

18.) 23 Dec 2019 12:49:27
I blatantly said he's to blame for putting shaw in the team I wouldn't pick him he's never been the same since that injury. Who can he pick instead of lingard? I would have started with Greenwood today though, definitely. De gea was poor last season and it's the same again this year. I think we should have sold him when his stock was high and given Romero the gloves. he's had a bumper new contract at the wrong time really. Got to blame the powers at be for that though.

19.) 23 Dec 2019 12:55:57
I blame this entire problem on the coaching management, for example;

James has been awful these couple of weeks. Why not start with Greenwood?

Also, why not play Williams over Shaw? There is this flow of continuity and transition which the lad offers that is overlooked. Little things like that though salient are very important to how a game pans out.

Why didn't he bring on Pogba and Greenwood at half time?

If Lingard, Mata and Pereira aren't cutting it why not give Gomes a chance? Probably going to leave and we'll have us a Pogba mk2.

Speaking of Pogba, he did ok but you can see the difference in class between him and the rest. It isn't even a debate. Watching this atrocious team, it's a surprise he wants to stay.

Martial was very good today. His holdup, link up and general game play has been good. Furthermore, Martial as our striker, created 3 big chances today - Opta. Rest of the team created 0 big chances.

That's extremely poor😬all these days but the only problem is the goals aren't coming as creativity is next to nothing.

De Gea's mistake is not an issue because once in a while, such happens but when a team can't create and finish against the lowest team on the log then such mistakes will turn out to have a higher impact than should.

Honestly, we have poor management. Yes I do accept that Solskjaer is not technically adept. But there is no law saying a manger must be. Problem is his coaching team have nothing to offer. Phelan, Carrick and the rest obviously cannot help him navigate through this difficulty.

The stats are damning: 10 wins in 35 games.

But the caveat with those wins is that only 2 wins came without penalties - I'm not discounting penalties but it should be understood that this outlines our inability to create in-game.

Prior to this game, I think Watford had just a win this season, only scored 9 goals and bottom of the log yet, they trounced us 2 goals to the good. Another perspective is that he has won only 7% of his Premiere league games without penalties. This is an embarrassment to say the least.

Solskjaer has spent over £100m "improving" our defence last summer yet we keep conceding and we unfortunately are on a run - A run of 13 PL games without a clean sheet.

This season, We have 4 fewer points (25) than we did at last season (29), at which point Jose Mourinho was sacked.

Let's be honest. If Ole wasn't a club legend he would have been sacked long ago. Sentiment and denial are keeping him in the job. The games we've lost and lack of tactical nous exhibited by Solskjaer would have earned even a mid-table team's manager sacking.

Romero should have been given a go at number one. De gea is allover the place pretty much every game. Maguire, Lindelof and De gea is not a good mix and they are awful together to be honest. I can't see how we can keep both keepers happy either. We've handled this so bad it's unreal ED02 is spot on when he says we are run by amateurs. Absolutely clueless!

I watched a couple of videos of the young lad. If he's half as good as he looks on the videos for us then my god. Look out is all I can say.

Perisic is a very good player and could do a cracking job for us for 2/ 3 years. I think we should walk away from the Sancho deal I think it could be a very expensive mistake.

Scott if you think Luke Shaw is one of the worst left backs in the league I have to disagree with you there. He's probably our most improved player since the turn of the year. he's made more appearances in the last two seasons for us than he ever has. I think he is maturing and improving to become an important player for us. When he got injured in the southampton game I don't think we looked the same team without him.

Very uninspiring to say the least. The club only spend to get in the champions league as soon as we get in there we don't follow through to get to the next step. Absolute shambles as Ed02 keeps telling us. Ridiculous they have no ambition to go for league titles. Qualifying for champions league and the club is more than happy.

You are obviously referring to me as I said it. Also I was being polite when I said it and wasn't sure if the poster knew Darmian had left the club. Chill your beans I wasn't having a go in the slightest 👍.

I am not convinced one bit we will win the EL this season. Every good opportunity we get we just seem to throw it away under Ole. We have good runs and pick up some good wins but every time it comes to the big crunch games we fail.

I'm sorry but what yesterday showed me more than anything else is how much better a manager Brendan Rodgers is compared to Ole. Let's not forget leicester were without Barnes, Maddison and Pereira they are 3 of their best players along with Vardy and they still beat us easily.

Ole just doesn't see danger we played very poorly 1st half and were extremely lucky to be level. That is when changes should have been made to get a grip of the game he just doesn't see what's infront of him and is totally inept and clueless.

If Pogba couldn't last a full game why start with him? Fred was the last player to be subbed off at 83 minutes when he was the worst player on the pitch? Atrocious decision making he should have been the 1st player off not the last. Just an all around disaster again yesterday from Ole.

What a golden opportunity to get to a final that was thrown away again. Top 4 might well be good enough with his bosses but winning trophies is what it's all about for the fans. We will beat granada and no doubt go out to Ajax or Roma in the semi's. I have no confidence at all and feel it will end the same old way in failure.

CB, CDM and a Striker would be my picks mate. I agree with you in that we could be ok in the right back position with our current players and Dalot on loan. Also Diallo we arw hoping will play a lot more next season. I've watched a lot of Declan Rice this season and would love him as our CDM. In the striker position then obviously Haaland would be the dream I also love Lautaro Martinez but wouldn't hold my breath on either of them to be honest. In terms of a CB there isn't anyone screaming out at me right now. Maybe you can throw a name at me and I'll give you my opinion on that particular player.
